I placed a pickup order at Billy Sims and had a smooth experience from ordering online to the moment I walked in. I was greeted right away, and my order was ready when I arrived. They also included utensils, and paper plates, which was a thoughtful touch since I hadn't requested any. They also gave me plenty of BBQ sauce cups. I ordered several meats by the pound. The meats don't have a lot of seasoning but still have good flavor, however, all of the meats were noticeably dry, which took away from the overall enjoyment. Here's what I tried: Jalapeno Cheddar Sausage Polish Sausage Chopped Brisket Sliced Brisket Sliced Chicken Pulled Pork 1/2 Rack Ribs The sides were a mix of hits and misses. What I ordered: Baked Beans: My favorite side. Great flavor and I liked the pieces of meat mixed in. Baked Potato Salad: Made with real mayo, not sweet, which I prefer. The flavor was good but very rich, so a small portion goes a long way. Classic Potato Salad: Tasted like the sweeter, grocery store style version. Not my preference. Macaroni & Cheese: This one didn't work for me. The pasta was mushy and the flavor wasn't appealing. In summary, just ho hum chain bbq. 2-1/2 stars. I tried the brisket and pulled pork plate with cole slaw, bbq beans, and macaroni n cheese. All the meat was tender, but was also incredibly dry. I had to keep pouring sauce on it because the meat would absorb the sauce in desperate fight to rehydrate itself. I saw a smoker in back, but could hardly taste a hint of smoke on the meat. The sauces are the typical sweet, mild, and hot selection. Problem is, they were all incredibly sweet and the hot hardly had any burn to it. Very generic sauces with a corn syrup taste. Unfortunately I had no choice but to use tons of it to make the dry meat edible. The sides were equally bland and filled with too much sugar. I have noticed bad bbq often attempts to mask how lacking in flavor it is by dumping sugar into everything. The beans tasted canned with a little ham thrown in. The slaw was decent but also really sweet and no vinegar to balancd it out. If you like sweet creamy slaw, then this for you. The mac n cheese was not bad, but nothing made it stand out either. Creamy and satisfying. They dumped shredded cheese over it after scooping it, which I did not like as it made the consistency odd. Service was friendly. It is an order at the counter joint like dickies, so the service is not a big part of the experience. Portions are good for the price. I have paid more and gotten less at many bbq places. Our group of four all liked what we ordered for the most part. I shared the two meat combo. Had ribs and brisket that both had a great taste. Also, had the baked beans that seem to have some brisket cooked into them. The hot bbq sauce was really good as well. Overall, we were pretty satisfied. Just went to have lunch with my family and the older lady Dulcie I believe it was. that served me was so unnecessarily rude. Rolling her eyes and speaking under her breath and then laughing when I was just trying to place our order. Second time this has happen with the same lady. This was my third visit to a Billy Sims BBQ restaurant and I was again very impressed with the consistent experience. I'm not a huge fan of BBQ sauce but use it sometimes to enhance the flavor of the meat. The flavor of both the turkey breast and sliced brisket was so excellent, I wasn't about to cover it up with sauce. Reasonable size portions, incredible mac and cheese (thick and creamy cheese), all food was hot and fresh. If I'm back in Tulsa, I'll eat here for sure! Really, my only complaint is the price - $17.50 for 2 meat dinner and a drink is simply too high for a fast food, order at the counter BBQ joint. read more

The food is average but the customer service is the worst! I just called Albert G's because even though it's out of the way, it's comparable and I just won't patronize the Jenks location again until I see different staff in there. The one guy was just not equipped to deal with customers and I am not equipped to deal with him again. Plus they are charging $2 to $4 more for meats. read more

Hands down, the best pulled pork and ribs I've had in Tulsa! I'm huge fan and keep coming back, because it's so good. I've tried several of the big name and small name BBQ places in Tulsa, and none is as good. Pulled pork is sprinkled with more seasoning just before serving, so it has some extra flavor. Ribs are smoked just right, with no overbearing smoke aftertaste. Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of their brisket, but if you are looking for ribs or pork, you can't go wrong. read more

Being in a strip mall it looks kind of chainy, but it's actually pretty good. Got the 3 meat platter, brisket, pulled pork & turkey. Pulled pork is a little salty for my liking, but the brisket was really good, along with the turkey. Sides were normal sides, but the BBQ sauce (smoky & bold, hot) really tasty. read more

I placed a big ($107) for delivery from GrubHub. I did not receive any bread and I was supposed to get 8 slices. I had marked to received pickles, peppers and onions and did not get any, and I had asked for 2 sides of baked potato salad and got 2 baked beans. I called the restaurant and the young guy who said he was the manager, Isaiah, argued with me that it was my fault, then it was Grub Hub's fault. After I pointed out exactly what it said on the order, he agreed it wasn't my fault but that he couldn't fix anything. I called Grub Hub and they couldn't do anything either. Finally, after 2 more phone calls, the restaurant agreed to refund me a whole $2.09. Then, when I finally go to eat the cold food, it was terrible!!! The meat was greasy because it had been reheated from yesterday. The macaroni and cheese tasted like terrible cheese powder mix. The bologna and sausage was obviously leftovers from yesterday and reheated. It is such a shame to pay that much money, get terrible customer service, then get terrible food on top of that!
