The brisket was good! And I've heard great things about other locations, but I was really let down. The air conditioning wasn't working, the line was really long, they were out of several items, my house margarita wasn't good, and the customer service was really awful. I was warned when I ordered that my kids meal would come out later than my bbq because it had to go on the grill. No problem! But after ten minutes of having my food, I asked if we could have the chips (in an individual baggie, not served on the plate) a little early so they could eat---and I was told again (by the cashier) that I would have to wait. Another employee (a food runner) overheard us and brought the bag of chips over. Disappointing lunch at Burn Co on a Saturday afternoon. It wasn't necessarily bad, but it may have been disappointing because my expectations were so high. Given I simply expected to (and wanted to) like my meal a lot more. We got Burn Co to go around 12:45. We tried: brisket, ribs, chicken drumsticks, mac and cheese, and baked beans. To begin, when you get food to go, the sides are put in paper boxes. That is ridiculous to serve baked beans in paper boxes. They did provide an extra box as another layer of protection, but that didn't stop the boxes from leaking and the beans from being difficult to serve. There are plenty of to go options that are inexpensive that would allow you to serve something like baked beans in a safer and less messy way. Ultimately it was just a mess, but it was very annoying. Of the sides, I preferred the mac and cheese. The beans were good, a bit on the sweet side for me and lacking in heat. The mac and cheese was much stronger, the pasta had a slight bite and it was seasoned very well. I would get this again, not sure about the beans. My preference of the meats, in order: ribs, brisket, chicken. The chicken comes out black, but that is just smoke and seasoning. Don't be turned off, it had some great smoke flavor and was tender. The brisket was all chopped (they did not ask if we wanted chopped or sliced) and was good. It was a bit dry, but I really like Burn Co's sauce, so that helped. The ribs were sticky, tender, and had a bit of a bite to them. They were seasoned very well, a clear winner. I think perhaps had I had Burn Co in the restaurant I would have enjoyed it more. A place with this much fanfare deserves another shot, so we will be back. read more

I have never really liked BBQ, but this place has certainly changed my mind. Everything was delicious. We were able to get a sampling of pretty much everything (brisket, pulled pork, bologna, hot links, polish sausage, jalapeño cheddar sausage, the fatty, ribs, and chicken drumsticks plus the grilled potato salad and baked beans and drinks all for 40 bucks) and I don't think there was anything we didn't enjoy, plus we have days worth of leftovers. Ordered carry out for a couple of chopped brisket sandwiches. Very disappointing - full of fat and grease. Not one, but both sandwiches. Over priced and poor quality. Had we dined in I would have insisted on new sandwiches, if had dared to even ask. Employees are arrogant and rude, as if you are impositioning them by giving them business. I can see why this place is so popular! We had the opportunity to come in on a Wednesday around 2:15PM and the line was super short! (We came during our super late lunch lol) we ended up getting the "sweetheart platter", a special they had for Valentine's Day. It came with two pieces of chicken, three different kinds of sausages, shredded brisket and pork. It was SO DELICIOUS. So , I slept on doing this review and woke up and deemed it needed to be said. With all the hype and talk that Burn Co. gets, they may want to look into an employee who supposedly works all the time named AL. I placed the order about a week and a half early, only to arrive to get my order and it not even fixed. They played like I had come to the wrong location and finally found my ticket in a binder. Then when found, AL gets rude to say I work everyday, I'm tired and apologies. Then said, I would have to wait 20 minutes to get my chicken breast I had ordered. My meeting was starting at 12 which I was late for. Second, she offered to throw in 5 additional legs and no, I didn't get those either. Another issue is when asked if my order would be expedited, she told me I would just need to be patient and gave me two to go drinks on the house. While normally I wouldn't have let that comment ride, I was there on behalf of my company and wanted to stay professional. That's not it though,when they packed our food, she asked if I needed to have forks and plates, I was like yes, that would be great. She then replied, that wasn't on the ticket and and flips it around to show me. Again, I let it go. While I understand that they are super busy and yes the bbq is good, there has to be some sort of customer service. Maybe it was just me but I ended up asking for a discount off and received 20%. I heard this was THE place for BBQ so i had to try it. It was good. Not great. You have to get there early so they don't run out of food. I stood in line for about 20 minutes. Not bad. Got chopped brisket. They put they put just a little drizzle of sauce and you can add the rest. All the tables are essentially picnic tables. I got the macaroni and cheese also. not sure what else was in the macaroni and cheese if it was also brisket or maybe pieces of pork (I don't eat pork), but it wasn't that much and could separated out if you wanted to. again it was good. This place has some of the best BBQ on earth. HOWEVER, after visiting a dozen times over the past year, I've given up on the place. It's not the food that gives this 3 star rating. The food is a 5. The service and treatment of people is less than a 1. It's not a "soup nazi" mentality where they are trying to process people through the line. It's a general feeling that they really don't even want you to be there. You are a bother to them. They are almost hateful. It's not just the cashier. It's everyone. We initially found BCBBQ VIA multiple-site reviews. Using the tag, "best BBQ Tulsa," and we tried to go to the downtown location... WAY too packed! (Quality clue #1!) Being return-to-home-visitors, we were determined to sample WHATEVER we could. Enter BCBBQ SOUTH. The other reviewer's opinions noted, we found a clean, easily accessed facility-as opposed to parking downtown, and were pleasantly surprised. My only possible caveat, would be that the staff are...BUSY? And, BEING QUALITY, BUSY 'QUE, seemed a bit short, or "Jenks-Soc'?" Hands down the best barbecue in Tulsa. Their sides are awesome. Try the pulled pork with brisket Mac n' cheese, grilled potato salad and baked beans. Must try the "fatty" Tulsa's answer to a turducken, with smoked sausage wrapped around their smoked bologna wrapped in bacon. Love the downtown location but live closer to Riverwalk. On my wishlist; later hours (they close at 8) larger beer selection and a more powerful HVAC. The heat of the smokers is too much for a normal AC unit. read more

I'm going to give them this..the BBQ was good, not great and I've been around the country and tasted quite a bit. I stopped by for lunch, the menu they have is very unorganized. The ordering process is very clumsy and the selection is also very much catered to the restaurant and not the customer. They offer no platters, you choose one meat (average 6-10.00) add a side (2-3.00) and the portions are very small unless you "upgrade" to a larger side. The 20.00 "sampler" which is what I chose that comes with ribs, choice of a sandwich and sausage or chicken really quite small for a 22.00 "meal" that doesn't include a side. Everyone has their way of running a business but having some sort of upsell combo meal with a side or two meats would be idea that would be a hit, even at 20.00 with sides and a drink...I can't say I would make a trip back for this place but I think they have a following and everyone was very friendly it's just a strange way of ordering, the menu is lacking diversity an im sure the owners are fine with that but over time I think this could hurt their business with families or people looking for a "lunch or dinner" experience and not just meat. read more
