I have mixed feelings about this park at evening though and it's rather dark at evening. Barely any lights at that time. Be cautious at your own risk and visit the park during daylight hours. It's non discrete and far from pretentious. A good place to get in fresh air and a few laps around the trail. The play area for kids isn't that big, but it's fun enough with various trinkets and slides. The swings for the kiddos and babies are available as well. Lots of joy and a spot to take photos. Grady Park is chill, I've taken the bebe here and we've captured some fun moments of his first experience on the swings and slides. Finding a parking space especiaally during busy times or weekends can be a challenge. There are two aspects of this place that I find less appealing. Firstly the sporadic presence of ant (a little too much the city should really do something about it) Secondly, the lack of consideration shown by some of the dog owners who don't keep their pets on a leash. This is especially true when their dogs take a doodle but the owner doesn't pick it up. Really nasty in my opinion. Nothing towards the city but cmon guys, pick up the poop.

Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from start to finish.We visited a few days prior to ask questions and were met by a very unwelcoming and unprofessional manager. I initially gave him the benefit of the doubt, assuming he was just having a bad day. However, on the actual day of our paid reservation, he displayed the same dismissive and unpleasant attitude. For $100 per hour, you would expect a decent level of service or at least basic accommodations but this facility provides nothing beyond the space itself. There were no basketballs available, no equipment, and no effort to prepare the court. I had to ask the manager just to set up the hoops for our scheduled 2:00 PM time slot. To make matters worse, they do not offer food during weekdays and also prohibit bringing food inside. This makes it extremely inconvenient, especially for events like birthday parties where food is essential. Overall, the lack of customer service, poor communication, and minimal value for the price made this a frustrating experience. I would not recommend this facility for events or celebrations unless significant improvements are made in both service and overall offerings

The best thing about this park is that just outside the entrance to the park are restrooms & a filtered water fountain bottle filler. Very convenient!

Karl Young Park is located in a residential neighborhood. It's a small park, but it was just what we needed. There's only one tennis court at this park, which means if you make your way there, and it's taken, it's a bummer. Luckily, that didn't happen to us. They also have a basketball court, a grassy area, and a trail for walking/running. The tennis court is well maintained. The only real downside? There aren't lights on the court like most tennis courts. That means that after the sun goes down, you're out of luck. Which ended up happening to us. We played the final stretch of our tennis match barely able to see in the darkness. Overall though, still a good park that doesn't seem to get much foot traffic (which is what you're hoping for when you're looking for tennis courts).
