The shop has the display cases right when you walk in the door and there is a little cafe area off to the right which seemed cute. We were greeted when we walked in and the girl who helped us gave us plenty of time while we decided what to order. I asked what her favorite thing was that they had and she told me the danishes or the cheesecakes. I ended up ordering several things to try: a glazed donut, glazed raspberry filled donut, powdered raspberry filled donut, cheese danish, chocolate chip cookie, and cinnamon roll. The donuts and cinnamon roll were given to family who already knew how good the donuts were and we tried the chocolate chip cookie and cheese danish. The chocolate chip cookie was huge, chewy, and had a great flavor. I think my favorite thing I tried was the cheese danish. The dough was buttery and the filling wasn't too sweet. It was a great suggestion from the girl working there. Also, all of this was under $18 which is crazy. Will definitely be coming back.

Just a couple of amazing cookies. Seriously, these things are the size of dinner plates.

One negative, otherwise great pizza, seating, restrooms etc…read more Everything is self-serve, when at cash register giving order and paying with card it asked for custom tip, 18%, and higher! This is a serve yourself, clear the table like a McDonalds. Requesting a tip upfront before receiving pizza and being self serving restaurant I found this over and above. Someone brings pizza to table when cooked. Otherwise it's on you. I spoke with the cashier about this and he said it was the owners thing. Seems like money grabbing to me to pay the bills. I think this will chill more customers than is worth it. Maybe not, maybe just me‍

Food and Drink: Mannnnn it has been over a decade since I had last this place and it brought back…read moreso many memories of my time in Mebane!! For dinner, I had the Johnson Club, onion rings, and sweet tea. The club was and still is one of the best club sandwiches I've ever had. The amount of protein is plentiful, and the addition of the egg puts this over the top. The restaurant is a bakery so the bread used for the sub is soft and fresh. The onion rings were hot, had the perfect amount of crisp and they were not soggy like other places I've been to. Overall, I left with nostalgia and I am definitely looking forward to coming back! Customer Service: Upon arrival, the waitresses welcomed me in and invited me to sit anywhere. I was promptly tended to and my waitress was soooooo friendly!!! It's the southern charm and politeness I miss the most about North Carolina and neighboring areas. Already knowing the sandwich I wanted, I took her advice between the fries and onion rings and she didn't steer me wrong! I appreciate her work ethic and making sure that everyone in the dining room had what they needed and helping a few others (some first timers!) decide on what they wanted. Ambiance: This place is casual, and intimate in a way. It's not a huge space but it's big enough for multiple groups to enjoy lunch or small families to have a sit-in dinner. I highly recommend this place as a stop on any commute between Charlotte and the Research Triangle Area.

After spending time on their website, their FB page and reviewing YELP, I decided to "go for it" and place an order for a cake similar to one that I saw on their FB page. I completed the "contact us" form and waited. And waited. I ended up phoning after a few days and spoke with April, who...in the beginning, wasn't very helpful with flavor combinations (suggested I check the site) but was very pleasant and patient while I did so. Ultimately, the cake was done (on time) and April even texted me a pic. They also delivered directly to my daughter exactly during the timeframe that we discussed. The cake was beautiful, the exact color combo that I requested...and hand painted to boot! I ordered pink champagne for the first tier and coconut for the second. I obviously didn't taste it but my daughter said that it was amazing!!!! All's well that ends well!!! Next time I'm in Burlington, I'm definitely stopping by to say thanks personally! They played a major part in making my daughter's 21st birthday very special!!! Thanks Main Street Cake Shoppe!

The inside is warm and inviting and everything is displayed so beautifully. The staff answered all of my questions and broke down their prices for me. They also had free face painting and cookies to be decorated for free! We will be back because I want to try their brownies.

I enjoyed seeing all the dog pictures covering the walls. The pastries here all looked amazing especially the sourdough chocolate chip cookies! I tried the sourdough pizzas they make on the wknds and enjoyed every last bite. The crust is just so perfect, it makes a nice crisp noise as you bite into it but still has that nice chewiness to it that makes a sourdough perfect! the buffalo mozzarella mixed with the garlic sauce was so great however I wouldn't mind a drizzle of buffalo sauce over the pizza for an extra kick. Horses. Dogs. VETERANS," drew us in. This establishment is so much more than a coffee shop. We loved everything about them, the passionate people who volunteer their time to the mission, the incredible animals that they rescue, rehab, train and pair with veterans, their baked goods, and their coffee. EVERYTHING! They sell a variety of baked goods including muffins, pastries, cookies, sourdough cinnamon rolls, sourdough bread, and coffee from a small farm in Puerto Rico. Everything we tried was delicious and although we were on a time crunch and couldn't stay, there is plenty of room to sit and relax while enjoying your goodies inside. All proceeds go to help veterans integrate back into "normal" life after military service. This is just an ounce of what they are about, so definitely stop by, learn more, and support their life changing programs by grabbing a bite and a coffee!
