After a rough 12 hours of delayed flights and mishaps the night before, my boyfriend and I were in dire need of good coffee. We were headed to his parents' place in Burlington from the airport and I quickly looked up a spot on Yelp for coffee and Converge came up. Normally I go for places with at least a couple hundred solid reviews, I figured I'd give this place a shot...and was not disappointed. Converge has only been open for about a year, which explains why it doesn't have many reviews, but I'm sure it'll start picking up reviews pretty quickly because this place is fantastic! We walked in and were happily greeted by one of the store owners. They have seasonal drinks as well as their normal offerings. They offer alternative milks (oat, almond, and macadamia!) and offer some yummy bites too! I ordered a London Fog with macadamia milk while my boyfriend ordered a seasonal iced latte. Both drinks were fantastic and just what we needed after a hectic trip. We loved it so much that we came back later in the afternoon for another cup of coffee and some mochi ice cream. I love mochi ice cream! We chose the sesame, red bean, and matcha flavors--all were great choices. Converge is definitely our new favorite coffee spot in Burlington and we look forward to coming back for coffee and treats whenever we're in the area! read more

Converge is really small but super cute, neat and cozy! I've been to Converge a few times and I loved it every single time! Their coffee is always so amazing, staff is super nice and friendly. They also have some bakery you can get with your coffee and they are delicious! This place is locally owned and I think their price is pretty reasonable too. They are always busy with students, people with their laptops, etc and I love coming here by myself or with my friends to catch up. Can't wait to come back! I've visited this coffee bar several times in the past and it's been great customer service, even if I get something and I didn't like it I never care because the people are friendly. My usual thing I always get is a green phoenix toast with slice avocado and the cream cheese spread. Today I ordered it and it looked different. I was hesitant to say something but the toast is a bit expensive so I said something. The barista was very rude. She told me I ordered it wrong and basically was very dismissive. I said I ordered it several times before and she proceeded to tell me it doesn't come like that. She never apologized, or even offered a correction. I work in customer service and she exhibited no customer service at all towards me. She was dismissive and treated me coldly. I may not visit this establishment again. Her cold dismissive demeanor was harsh and rude. The young lady who took the order was very pleasant though. read more

I really like this place -- it's locally-owned, the coffee is excellent, and the atmosphere is really nice. They have a private room that can be reserved for meetings, and there is a lot of comfortable seating available. Great service, too. The only critique I have of the atmosphere is the Christian music that was blasted over the speakers for about two hours while I was there trying to work. I have nothing against this kind of music, but it was very strange, since the business doesn't advertise being religiously affiliated in any way. I had considered reserving the back room for a professional meeting I would be holding in July, but changed my mind upon hearing this music. In particular, I have a member of my team that is Jewish, and I wouldn't want her to feel uncomfortable or unwelcome in the space. I would suggest that Converge choose more neutral music to encourage a wider diversity of people to come and work/eat/visit there. read more

I decided to stop by yesterday after running some errands, and I am so glad I tried something new! The shop is beautifully decorated and well-lit. The atmosphere is a perfect mix of modern geometric pieces and reclaimed barn wood, vintage doors, and other vintage/handmade items. Everything is cleaned immaculately. Something that I really appreciated was that two of the owners were working as the baristas that day. They were both extremely friendly and enthusiastic about the coffee. We chatted for a while and I learned a lot about the coffee, as well as the shop itself. I didn't get to try any of the pastries, but they all looked delicious and there are quite a few savory options as well. They are reasonably priced and locally sourced! Now for the best part! The COFFEE! It was delicious. I had the salted rosemary honey latte and OMG! It was like nothing I've ever had before. They also have a couple other really unique flavors, but not an overwhelming amount of syrups. Quality over quantity is the case here! I also tried a bit of their Costa Rican coffee (delicious!) and the espresso which was perfect. Really glad I decided to stop in here and check this new coffee shop out! Open for a bit over 1 week, Converge offers a retail front for local coffee roaster Alamance Kaffee Werks. The shop is bright and modern and offers a menu board with visuals for their array of espresso-based beverages detailing ratio of espresso:milk/foam/water for each drink. I tried their seasonal drink, a salted rosemary honey latte. All of their syrups are made in house, and the difference in taste is evident. Each sip offered a blast of fresh rosemary flavor with the perfect hint of sweetness to balance the savory herb. Prices are very reasonable, with the seasonal latte total coming out to $4.12. For those who are interested in bringing a cup of Converge coffee home, the shop's owners offer several types of their fresh-roasted coffee to-go. They also offer a handful of baked goods to pair perfectly with their coffees in addition to a small amount of non-caffeinated beverages. I got to chat with the owners during my visit, and they could not have been more helpful or friendly. Converge is slated to have a grand opening on 8/24/18 and are offering drip coffee on the house during the morning hours of that day. Excited to see what the future holds for this shop. read more
