This is my new favorite place. Cool retro vibe. Great seating areas with books, games and puzzles. Fabulous drink menu with an impeccable bartender! The music set the mood. Can't wait to go back.

This place is awesome!! I wish I took a photo of the "around the campfire" cocktail, it was absolutely delicious! Michael the bartender is very knowledgeable and a delight. Definitely make some time to visit this place!

We have been waiting to go in and finally made it this evening!! This place was worth the wait... Max and Molly are amazing, and the cocktails are some of the best you can get! We started with a smoked old fashioned (special for the week) and then let Max pick our second cocktail! He was very knowledgeable and we were so happy with the drink and all the insight he shared. Really excited to watch this place grow. A true GEM in Monroe

So much potential that just was not met unfortunately. Paid "craft" prices for drinks you could get at a dive bar (sour mix rather than a true egg white whisky sour, huge chunks of raw ginger floating on the top of my drink). We were told they only serve whisky because beer "sucks." That's fine, I am a huge whisky fan, but running a bar on only whisky is very difficult if you can't back it up with amazing whiskies. If you are going to say you'll serve the best, then actually serve the best! The drinks were sub-par and so was the charcuterie board (one random Brussels sprout, turkey sandwich meat, one random date, etc.) I walked in and saw the potential of the backbar, but was ultimately disappointed by the quality of the cocktails. The bones are there and this has potential to be a really cool craft place in Monroe which would be awesome! But, as someone who has worked in the wine & spirits industry for 5+ years, specifically whisky from distilleries to distributors, I was disappointed by the craftsmanship of the drinks.

Great late night spot in a sleepy town. Friendly helpful staff. Great for drinks and meeting up with friends.

Cute bar to get a drink, hang out, and play a card game of some sorts. Like the theme and the decor. A good spot for an evening date in Monroe!

While I don't know why people don't go, I do know why I don't. The last time I was there I was being actively ignored by multiple barkeepers acting super busy, walking up and down and polishing glasses or similar fillers on a non-busy night... Until I got up and walked out slowly to Provisions, a bar right across the street, to get a drink. With this attitude toward service, I'm sure none of them realized what kind of business walked out the door in that moment, given I live within walking distance, happen to like a good whiskey, and believe in tipping handsomely for good service. But I get it...surely they saw me and likely filter for a different type of clientele. It's just that even over the years I've been passing by it hasn't worked. But each to their own; never been back.

They have special Whiskey Talk nights and tasting events. You can get also get other drinks and even order food to eat inside. I usually get the Black Rabbit Red wine, but there are a couple beers on tap. Of course this is also a stop for a passport stamp. If it's cold and not too loud we do occasionally sit inside. It has a quaint, cramped vibe so you may get to know your neighbors. If the weather is good we often sit outside by one of the many fires. Sometimes there is live music playing in the courtyard and this makes for a great way to spend an evening. But if you don't know you can also get your drinks to go and walk around exploring the grounds, just be aware you are not supposed to cross the street with your drinks to the pool/Nui Nui bar.

We were warmly greeted at the door and invited in. While walking us to our table, the owner who was seating us offered us a $4 mimosa. How could we say no, so she presented us with a few non-standard options like watermelon (and I can't remember the other types, my bad!). It turns out that it's their new brunch special, so if you accept the mimosa on the way in, it's $4, where the regular price is $10 -- definitely good to keep in mind if you're visiting during weekend brunch! When it came down to the food, I ordered the fried bologna sandwich while my husband had the tom tom benedict (green and red tomatoes). Both were quite good -- I loved the twist on the ol' bologna sandwich, though I the tom tom bene was prob our fave. Anyhow, I was suprised at how much we liked the food from this tavern, and I'll definitely include it as an option from now on, when we're coming up with places to visit. Highly recommend this place. It's relatively new, it's quite sizable, and the owners are just lovely. I do hope that more people find out about this gem and visit!

Located on the upper floor of Pike's Place, this cute bar has a good amount of seating with both table and bar top options. We went on a Saturday night at around 9 PM and it wasn't too crowded -- we were quickly seated at the bar top for a party of two. When you walk in you'll notice that they have a more rustic, dark ambiance that still provides a more casual feel. We were immediately greeted by our host and were seated right away! We were having a late dinner so we ended up getting the Tater Tots with all the toppings, beef tartare, and a side of their coleslaw. For the two of us, that was more than enough! Their portion sizes were very generous and filling. The tater tots were amazing, with the perfect amount of crisp, sauce, and toppings! The beef tartare was also so delicious with the perfect amount of seasoning and the yolk beautifully ran through the meat. For drinks, we ended up getting two cocktails as well as as a whiskey flight. For the cocktails we ordered the Turn the Page and Angel's Wings. Both drinks were absolutely amazing! It was the perfect balance of tasting the spirit with its complementary fruity notes. Our bartender also curated a flight for us based on our budget, preferences, and curiosities because we were interested in learning more about the different whiskeys and it was such an amazing experience! I learned so much about whiskeys and tried new ones that I never would've considered trying otherwise! Overall, this was such an amazing experience and I would definitely recommend checking our Radiator Whiskey if you're in the Seattle area! I'm excited to go back and try new drinks at their bar again!

In no particular order. It's a greasy spoon .... so unclean the tables are sticky. Enough said. I could not confirm that it was real Woodford Reserve Bourbon in my custom Manhattan, and by the insta-headaches it gave me, it certainly wasn't. Serving well-whiskey under brand label is illegal and the Washington State Liquor Board wouldn't take kindly if I reported it on my phone before even paying the bill the next time. Radiator Whiskey with a entire wall full of Whiskey bottles is playing with fire and just crossed the line with me. I will be back to check up on that. The pulled pork sandwich was ok, but minimalist dry with just a sprinkle of coleslaw and red onions. So was the side salad, dry, with the dressing being 'barely there.' Barely there was also the AC on this night of a heatwave. With closed windows. I was sweaty and couldn't wait to get out into fresh air of the same temperature while sticking to my table. As for the vibe, they play alternative punk rock, maybe a bit too loud for good conversation. All I can say here is each to their own, but the place just wasn't for me.

They have a beautiful facility and the tasting room was filled with souvenirs from shirts, jackets, flasks, glasses and all of them looked top-notch. Loved to buy a baseball cap, but my head is 61cm and I must have the velcro closure as the plastic snap hats are just too small & cheap for me. They have a counter bar area strategicly set with no chairs where it's comfortable for four 1/4 to 1/2 oz taste, but you don't get too comfortable. The hostess was pleasant, inviting and we honestly enjoyed reviewing the menu of +10 different whiskeys where we need to pick out 4 of them for the standard flight. They had a cross section of proofs between bourbons and ryes with a premixed old fashioned that was made by aging in maple syrup barrels. My wife went for ryes and i did the bourbons. I started with the 80 proof then navigated toward the highlight of the 115-proof. I was pleasantly impressed how drinkable without the burn going down was the 115-proof as it benefits from a sweeter, corn-forward base + cooler aging that results in better integration and less aggressive burn -- it "drinks easier" than the numbers would suggest. Of course, try what you can and it's great when you can share tastes between 2 people all the choices. For me, I found the cast strength aged 6 years 115 proof to be the best.
