We were in Monroe last weekend and discovered Dreadnought Brewing such a vibe!! The day before Easter, they hosted a fun little Easter egg hunt for the kids outside, which was such a great touch. They also had games set up in the parking lot while you wait super fun idea and perfect for families! We started with chips and a salsa's and WOW the chips are homemade and absolutely delicious! The salsas were bomb too! The red one will definitely open up your sinuses, so be ready for that kick My fiancé and I ordered the spicy chicken sando messy, flavorful, and SO good. Sad to see this change back to the old and abandoned place this was. I used to love this place. My husband and daughter went in for lunch last Sunday and they were shocked. No food, no people and the entire place feels sad. We had tried this place again because we heard that it was turning a corner. We haven't visited for years because the Owen is rude, was charging $5 for a small bag of lechoso And they stopped brewing in house. The first time we tire it again was during a night they had live music. We loved it so much we came to the music festival and they had a lively crew, amazing food and the overall vibe was upbeat and exciting. It was kid friendly and the atmosphere made you want to be there. Sunday we learned that food was no longer available other than some costo chips or nuts and the guy running it (Chris) was no longer along with over 1/2 the staff is gone. Before they made you feel like family. Now it's some guy who barely looks up from his phone. You can feel a difference in the worst way. This is the 2nd time we have seen the owner flip management and we will not be back. Sad to see what was our favorite spot disappear. read more

Food at the beginning of this new lunch adventure was excellent. Something changed and it's just horrible. The hard core music they stream is too loud to hold a conversation. We asked to turn it down but we were told the manager is very particular about the music. Service was less than average. We used to go here all the time but this last visit has changed that dynamic entirely. We've been patrons since it opened. Visiting my sister in Monroe and we decided to come here for Happy Hour. Located in an industrial area of town. Cool spot with inside and outside seating area. Really great selection of craft beers. You will definitely find something that you will like. Personally, I enjoyed the Blonde ale, Red Alle, Chocolate Jesus Oatmeal, Apple Crisp and Apricot Hop. You can create a tasting flight for up to six different ones. The staff are very friendly, welcoming. However, the food was just okay, nothing special. My sister was saying they have rotating food vendors and they had better during their last visit. Kids friendly. We took our nephew and we sat outside and played monopoly. read more

After hiking near Stevens Pass, we were looking for a spot to grab some brews and food on our way back to Seattle, and came across this spot! I quickly yelped the route home, and the girls wanted beer, so we thought we'd try a new spot. We ordered: - nachos - Sgt Pepper Burger with slaw - a Mushroom Burger with slaw - blood orange cider - beers I am not a beer drinker, but from the comments the girls were making, they all liked the beer they got. I enjoyed the guest cider they had on tap. This place doesn't have French Fries, but do have the side of chips or slaw. Slaw wasn't bad. I enjoyed my burger with mushrooms! Really great brewery! There is a lot of space as well as some outdoor seating as well. They had some excellent beers and the owner brought us samples to try which was awesome. I had the raspberry blonde which had a pretty good raspberry flavor and I had the red as well. They have food, we opted to share a few things. We shared the pork tacos as well as the nachos with guacamole, salsa and sour cream. It was perfect to share and everything was really tasty. First time here. Really excited about this place for about 20 minutes. Place seemed awesome. Beer was good. Food truck was good. Then a sloppy drunkard that had the I smoke a pack a day and have no idea how my tone carries across the parking lot lady decided to sit next to me with my 5 year old daughter, wife, and baby. Not the establishments fault that she said F&$@ literally every three words. Seriously gifted. Went on for 15 minutes straight. Figured she run out of F word steam, but nope. I have nothing against the word. I say it myself, but if I had a 5 year old 6 feet from my mega phone, I'd probably say it maybe every other sentence. Finally, I told her she should say f@&* every other sentence as opposed to every 3 words. It's 4pm on a Thursday. So why the 2 star.... Because sloppy mcdrunk face went into the bar to get another drink while my wife was paying because our time was ruined and told the bar tender what I said and the bar tender gave her a free drink and apologized. This ones on us! The lady goes back outside to taint the oxygen with more brilliant swearing olympics. And Sweet! I guess I'm the bad guy! She's clearly a local and had the famous mug for the mug club. Maybe that's the ticket. I was told after the fact by my wife about the incident inside. I wish I paid the bill and could correct the situation myself. I'm more then happy to set the record straight. Probably best I found out after the fact. It states everywhere it's a kid friendly establishment. There were 5 other kids an ear shot away. I was the only one that was ballsy enough to say something. I own a business. If I owned this business and had a first timer there and heard about this scenario, I'd be buying the couple with the kids a drink due to drunk mega mouth and profusely apologizing. My girlfriend and I stopped in here for brews and lunch after playing a bit in Monroe. Free parking can be found in the parking lot. Discover is an accepted form of payment. Scant seating can be found outside to enjoy during the warmer months. Beers are listed digitally. TVs are mounted on the walls. A stage area is offered for live bands. This brewery is on the small side with about 12-15 tables maximum. My girlfriend and I were freezing the whole time we were seated and never once removed our jackets. We each ordered a couple pints of Red Elvis Rye Amber for $6 each. Tasty brew Dreadnought! Crisp, cold and very satisfying. The food we ordered was lackluster. We started off with the Jalapeno Poppers for $6.25. The menu stated qty 5 poppers. What we actually received was qty 2 1/2 peppers. The poppers served here are cut in half lengthwise then stuffed with cream cheese, cheddar and bacon. The price is a bit steep for only 2 1/2 Jalapeno Poppers. We also shared the Three Meat Pizza for $12: 10" of pepperoni, salami and Italian sausage. The pizza was okay but it was apparent that the pizza is not made in house, but rather frozen then heated in the kitchen's oven. The pizza reminded us both of Totino's frozen pizza. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the available beers. Overall, Dreadnought is a great place to quench your thirst and eat beer food. Nothing fancy. No frills. Just good beer. read more

So many new breweries. Seriously...who knows where they all are? These guys popped up last year, with this mixed mission of live music, light kitchen, and new brewhouse run by guys with no pro brewing experience. You could certainly be forgiven for having no idea what to expect with all of that going on. Turns out they're hitting it out of the park. There are a lot of new offices and warehouse spaces sprouting up on the edges of the Monroe business district, particularly on this side. People are out walking along the little pond in the mornings, and it seems like they swing around later for beers and foods. We showed up right when they opened. Actually, given that they're on their winter hours, it was right before they opened, but they were happy to welcome customers even while they straightened up the place for the day's work. There's a good-sized bar and there are plenty of tables in the taproom, which doubles as a live music space in the evenings. You're clearly in a brewery, with tap handles on the left and shiny stainless tanks straight ahead. But they're not messing around with the live music, either. To your right are wedge monitors, and behind the bar, behind curtains, are Vox monitors and other cool vintage guitar equipment. Not to mention all the guitars of various vintages displayed on the wall. If you look closer around the taproom, you see that all the photos are shots of musicians playing live around the Seattle area. I got the distinct impression that somebody who works at the brewery took all the shots, but I didn't confirm that. The kitchen faces right out onto the taproom, and if you get there first thing, you're pretty much chatting with everybody, from chef to bartender to brew crew, who are all stoked about what they're doing and happy to welcome you. The menu is straightforward, focused on sandwiches. Mostly paninis. There are one or two other things, but this is stuff they can do well out of a small space with minimal waste; it's a very well-designed menu for a new business. The beer list is solid, with one of the better blonds I've had in a long time, and a super-solid APA, very dry, lots of crystal clear hoppy bitterness. When we were in, our bartender was one of the assistant brewers, who also sings, plays guitar, and writes songs. The TVs were playing live concert footage with full sound, and there was a turntable behind the bar, with a decent stash of vinyl stacking up. They're getting to the point where they've gotten good feedback consistently everywhere they have taken kegs, and are ready to step up and find a path to getting kegs out to more places. Looking forward to trying their beers without having to drive quite so far, but, still, I'll happily hit up this place again for pints. read more

My review of Dreadnought Brewing is based on a quick stop here for refreshments after a hike with some friends. So I don't have much to go on. I will say there was an impressive list of available brews. I personally went with the Dreadnought Canoe, a session IPA. My friends and I sat outside. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The other patrons overheard us talking and happily recommended other nearby places for beers. I enjoyed the the casual vibe at Dreadnought as well as that session IPA. My friends and I also ordered a few appetizers to share (jalepeno poppers and nachos) though we weren't very impressed with the food. I'd go back for a beer but probably skip the food next time. Dreadnought was our first beer stop during our Tulip and beer drinking weekend. The beer here is pretty solid. It wasn't my favorite on later beer stops to come but it was ok. Here I got an IPA which wasn't a bad start to the weekend. What I liked more than the beer were the sandwiches! I got the Italian Turkey Panini which made a fantastic little supper! They also have a regular Turkey Panini as well which is what Steve got. It was good too but the Italian version was definitely better. There was a singer who I believe was local while we dined. He did covers, mostly which I didn't care for but he did sing a Tom Petty song which was decent. How can one not like Tom Petty? read more

Excellent local brewery and eats! Great find. The blonde ales were all great and hard cider. We had nachos, jalapeño poppers and two burgers. All of which had incredible flavor. This gem is known by the locals and quite a few suggested it. Took to Yelp and read the reviews and we decided to have dinner here. Can't beat the pricing, service and food quality. All good items came out looking fresh and had flavor! Not one note of seasoning overpowered the other. They also have live music/bands on miscellaneous evenings. Enjoy this brewing company. You won't regret it. It is in close proximity from the local hospital and many trails in the area. Don't be hesitant to ask the employees about the menu and their personal favorites as well as the local favorites. It helps narrow down your selection. Enjoy! read more

My wife had the Jam IPA, think jamming out to playing the guitar. There's not a whole lot of breweries in Monroe but who cares when you have one really good one. Across the highway from the fairgrounds, tucked in the back of a warehouse complex is one of my new favorites. I'm a big fan of IPA's and my wife loves scotch ale and needless to say their house brews are damn good. Super friendly staff are quick with a drink and a menu which has some high quality food for any restaurant let alone a brewery. My ONLY gripe has nothing to do with the business but a group of super loud bikers towards the back. And I don't mean leather and Harley's, I mean spandex and stupid shirt kind of bikers, which is rare for Monroe but oh well. Overall this brewery is better than most with great house brew and above average food. I would recommend to anyone, unless you have some fussy little food or beer allergy, then stay home and cook for yourself. read more

Great atmosphere, you can see the brewing in the back from the front rustic wood bar top. I love the digital beer menu up on the wall and can't wait to try all the beers. My favorite part of going to a smaller brewery is all the fantastic beers they come up with that are not the standard mainstream basic beers of the bigger places. The owner is usually there and is always willing to explain all his new brews. They serve food with their beers and it's not your normal fired oily food that most bars serve instead it's edible and fresh. I recommend stopping by and trying the Twang machine double IPA that's 9.6ABV but make sure to bring a DD lol. read more
