My family home had an emergency situation where the washer valves were leaking. I initially called another plumbing company that said they could come between 3:30-5:30pm. Come 5:30pm, no one showed up. I called their office, and they found out their plumber wouldn't be able to make it, but they'll be able to come the next day 8-10am. Next day, I get a text around 9:30am that they won't be able to make it, but they can 1-4pm. I HAVE A LEAK. I called another plumber, but unfortunately, they were completely booked for the day. They recommended Burpee's. I called them immediately, and the person who answered was so sweet and nice. She assisted me so swiftly and was able to get a plumber within an hr. It was Sunday at 5:00 pm. We had just gotten back from a weekend trip out of town. I go to use the kitchen sink to wash some dishes and black smelly water starts coming up, filling the sink, on the sink side and the garbage disposal side. I try the garbage disposal; dead. I am baffled because I never put anything down the sink or garbage disposal, in fact I have strainers on both sides, and any chunks that get collected I dump in the trash can. Where can this clog be coming from? I run to Lowes and buy a plunger. I plunge a couple of times and now black smelly water comes up from the base of the faucet and spills all over the counter top. The kitchen is unusable. Time to call a plumber. I do a google search, and Burpees Plumbing comes up at the top. They have very good reviews and I'm praying they're still open at this time, on a Sunday evening. Tracy answers the phone and says "let me see if I can get you one of our plumbers". Jose O. amazingly agrees to come over Sunday at 6:00 pm to take a look at the sink. I am so grateful. He arrives on time and works very efficiently. He tries snaking it a couple of times, and gets the kitchen sink to a usable state, but a hydro jet will be needed in a couple of days to get the clog fully removed. We have an older house, and we've had to deal with clogs before, on the bathroom side, so I welcome this option, as I'm hoping it will prevent future issues. My using the plunger broke some seals and now both kitchen sinks are leaking. Jose O. works hard, late into the evening, to ensure he leaves me with a usable kitchen sink, for which I am enormously grateful. I appreciated Jose O., his hard work and skill, and his helpful and considerate attitude so much, that I asked him to help us with another job. Two days later Jose O. and his skilled coworker came over, did the hydro jet and installed a new toilet for us. I am extremely happy with the work they did, the kitchen sinks and the new toilet work great now. I would call on Jose O. again, next time I need a plumber, without hesitation. I called for a same day service for my clogged bathroom sink. After charging my card $150, I get a call to say, "sorry, something came up and we have to do another day..." Forget that! They did not tighten the garbage disposal after snaking the sink (only 3 of 2 screws were tightened). Since the sink is in an ADU no one noticed for 6 weeks! When they turned on the water it flooded underneath. Burpees also gave me a $1021.50 estimate from that same visit to "fix" a toilet by totally rebuilding it (it's less than 2 years old). Needless to say I called a different plumber who tightened the disposal, and who also called TOTO customer service to find out exactly what was wrong with the toilet & TOTO shipped the replacement part needed free of charge... I had a very bad and unprofessional experience with Burpees Plumbing. They came out to see the job and explained the problem to me and my neighbors. They agreed to do the job sent me the cost to do the job which I agreed to pay. The plumber and their main office were not communicating in regards to price and schedule which prolong the process. When we finally agreed on a date to complete the job which I rearranged my schedule for they came out to tell us that they "can not do the job because it wasn't in their scope of work" and the rep was rude and appeared that she didn't care. We were told almost 4 different things from prior plumbers were wrong and the costs ranged from $500 - $3800. One plumber, (Rooter Rooter) said the part was $15 but labor was over $400. We were referred to Burpee's by a neighbor who had used them for many years. They attempted to clean out the main line to the street. They performed Hydrojet but were unable to clear the line. The charge to my elderly mother was $750. This was a minimum of $400 more than what other local companies subsequently bid. The plumbers who performed the work did not carry themselves in a professional manner. I spoke directly to the owner who really didn't want to hear anything negative I had to say. I was concerned that the work was not done properly. He spoke badly about the other companies that gave us bids to redo the job. He verbally agreed to send out one of his guys that he personally trained to ensure the work was done properly. Unfortunately, despite leaving three messages, we never received a call back and no one has ever come out to follow up with us. read more

My refrigerator got delivered on a Saturday, and I found out, on the spot, that they would not install and connect the new waterline because the old waterline passes through cabinetry. I got on the phone, called a couple of people, and promptly got a call back from someone at Burpee's Plumbing. Within an hour, they had someone scheduled to come out, quoted the price over the phone, and when Stephen came, he took his time, went back-and-forth to his truck to get parts he needed, and ensured it was connected correctly, passing through the cabinetry with sufficient space to not put tension on the waterline. After being totally scammed by Neighborhood Plumber & Rooter I was skeptical about the water heater they installed so I called Burpee's Plumbing & Rooter to get an idea of what Neighborhood Plumber & Rooter actually did. Mike came out within less than an hour and checked everything and told me all the things they did wrong and how the installation was not up to proper city codes. I called building & safety and they told me there was never an inspector visit for the new water heater. If it wasn't for Mike I would have never known the installation wasn't up to par. I have not used them as a plumber. But one of their plumbers drove past me and threw garbage out the window including a cigarette butt and other trash. He was also not paying attention to the road. I can't believe anyone would throw cigarettes out the window in an area where it will either start a fire or get washed into the ocean. This is deplorable behavior. read more
