I called late Monday afternoon and was told I could have a plumber out first thing the following morning, which was fine as this was not a true plumbing emergency. The plumber arrived early at 750AM and called me on my cell phone and I was back home to meet him shortly after (dropping my son off at school). I forget the plumber's name but he was very professional and took care of the drain stoppage quickly. Also took the time to show me the drain was cleared and how I might be able to keep the drain cleared for the future. He was in and out of the house in about 15 minutes. I called Mike to dislodge a toy from my toilet. I noticed I had a problem when my toilet would gurgle after flushes. I have toto toilets so I'm accustom to strong reliable flush. This review is based on the behavior that I saw on the road today. A truck with "Burpees plumbing" on the rear was driving next to me and the individual in the passenger seat was the throwing chicken wings out the window on the freeway. This is a hazard to other people on the road, I just saw items flying in my direction towards my windshield which made me swerve a little to avoid what was coming in my direction until I noticed what it was. If I'm not mistaken it's illegal to be throwing things out the window of a moving vehicle. read more

I called Mike and he came out the next day to examine the problem and see if it could be fixed without having the disposal replaced. Unfortunately, it was broken. We have been using Burpee's since we moved here 9 months ago, and whenever we've had a plumbing emergency in this big old house, they have arrived the same day and saved the situation. Phil has been our go to guy and not only does he describe the situation intelligently and clearly in writing (wonderfully detailed estimates and invoices) as well as verbally, he always has at least one money saving alternative for us. He always gives us the long term scoop on the plumbing issues, and lets us know when we can afford to wait and see. This winter, he let us know our house was going to need a major sewer inspection very soon, and we finally got around to getting started. It looked pretty bad from the first video, and we got our reasonable estimate for the part that he could view. When they could see farther, the situation was worse than they thought. Even still he had a few alternatives to help lessen the cost of what was going to be a tough job. They minimized the invasive part to drilling out and replacing one small square of cement in the driveway. At every point of the job, Phil took pains to explain and demonstrate the extra effort his team was putting in, along with photos and videos of the entire project. Kyle was AWESOME to work with! Our issue: The shower water wouldn't stay hot. It was hot in the kitchen and bathroom sinks but not the shower/bath. We called around and the water heater guys suggested having the cartridge in the shower changed. The introduction: Kyle was fixing something at our neighbor's place. He had no problem dropping by our condo to assess the issue and give us an estimate. He estimated it would take two hours. We were able to schedule something for the next day (which is now today). The result: Perfection. First, I want to comment on his professional demeanor. I am female and was home alone at the time. I felt very comfortable having him here. Of course, it helped to have met him the day prior with my neighbor present. Now, I want to tell you about the best part...Not only is the issue fixed, but he did it in only 1 hour instead of 2! So, it didn't end up costing as much as I anticipated. He was really awesome. Nutshell: I would definitely recommend these guys. I must start my review with the fact that the end result of my new sewer line seems to be a good one. Apparently my old house was a tough nut to crack... The job took three weeks to complete, as opposed to the quoted one. Had to live with a huge trash bin in front of my house, during the week in between , apparently waiting for the permit to come through... The Owner graciously extended me a payment plan. great service! We moved into an old building that was remodeled somewhat poorly, leaving several leaks that had to be fixed. They are fast and efficient! Especially Phil, who came on a Saturday expecting a simple blockage but instead found multiple leaks and issues, he didn't get annoyed or complain and even helped us try to figure out an issue with our washing machine that wasn't a plumbing issue. I will NEVER use this company again. I chose them because some neighbors told me they liked them. I needed the two toilet flush systems replaced, and a new faucet installed in the kitchen. I thought I had all the parts. First, after the plumber was finished and ready to be paid, I noticed he had not installed the soap dispenser that came with the new faucet. I was told he couldn't drill a hole in the sink for it, but that I would have to call a tile person! (I had previously had a different plumber install a water purification dispenser in the same sink, and they had no trouble drilling a hole for it.) If this plumber had advised me before he started, I may have chosen to get another company, but I have now lost that option. Second, my two toilets are "power flushers". The package of new flushing systems I had bought were for normal toilets, which I didn't know. Rather than advise me of this, the plumber simply opened both packages and put in the few parts that would fit. But neither toilet flushes properly now, and I can't return the parts, because of what he did. He should have told me FIRST that I didn't have the right parts, and if he didn't have them, I could have returned the ones I had and hired someone to install them. Third, he cleaned up the water in both bathrooms with my brand new white bath towels! He should have (and did for the kitchen) used his own materials to clean up. Fourth, he left all the old dirty wet parts to fill up my bathroom trash cans, rather than dispose of them as he did with the old kitchen parts. NOW, I am left with two toilets that do not flush properly, parts I cannot return, and a half finished kitchen sink installation. I immediately made an effort to contact a manager or the owner. I left a detailed written message for them on their website. Two weeks went by, no response. I sent another message to them using their email address, and I am still not getting the courtesy of a response. Oh, and did I mention that he charged me $125 just to install the wrong parts in my toilets? I cannot see why anyone would want to give this company business. They clearly do a shoddy job, and then refuse to even communicate with an unhappy customer. read more

We just purchased a house built in the sixties, and there are some major plumbing issues. We went on yelp and we hired another company to give us an estimate on our issues. We were advised that our problem was immediate and would cost 4500 dollars. I spoke with a friend who advised us to call Burpees plumbing for a second opinion. They were very professional, and I felt very comfortable with them. They were able to temporarily relieve the issue which we were told needed to be fixed immediately. They said that when the problem reoccures, they will be able to come back and once again temporarily handle the situation until we decide to complete the project.
