Ok I have lived within three blocks of burrito amigos for 10 years. I have never driven through there because the line is too long for me. We finally got up the courage to see what the lines were about. My husband got the chicken and bean burrito. He said it was the best he ever had! I got a simple bean and cheese burrito and asked for red sauce to be put inside. it was absolutely delicious and only $4.50. My husband gave me a test of the green sauce and it was the best green sauce I've ever had. We are going to go back and I will get the simple bean and cheese burrito and ask them to put green sauce inside. It was so affordable and delicious. Now we know what the long line in the drive-through is all about. and unfortunately, unfortunately, we are now addicted to burrito amigos. We did go inside and the ambience is clean and friendly. We just like to drive through and bring it home because we are so close. Definitely give yourself a treat and get a simple bean and cheese burrito or a chicken bean and cheese burrito if you are hungry.Very delicious! read more

It has been a while since we last visited. We used to visit several of their locations often when we lived in the Eugene/ Springfield area and always enjoyed their breakfast burritos and the green sauce. We arrived a little after 10am on a Sunday morning. We placed our orders for Machaca burritos at the counter and took a seat. There was no one else seated at the time we arrived but the drive through had a short line. Several others came in while we were seated for to go orders. Our food arrived quickly and looked great. We grabbed a bottle of green sauce from the cooler and dug in. Mmmmm, they tasted just as we remember and the green sauce adds just the right amount of kick. I see a lot of negative reviews here, but we have been going here for years and never had any major issues. I usually get the Wet Burrito with Carne Asada and no tomatoes and never have any issue with them getting it wrong. In writing this review, it occurs to me that I have never been inside of the building, only gone through the drive thru. So I can't speak to the interior of the building or its facilities. I can say that the food is always well packaged and they give plenty of sauce when you request it. The portions have gotten smaller over the years, but that's true about every single food service place. The staff is always courtesy and efficient. And the line moves quickly even during the lunch hour when the line can get fairly long. Overall, if you are looking for a typical take out Mexican food spot, then that's exactly what you get. We will continue to make this a regular lunch spot. read more

Went there today - drive thru - ordered a bean tostada - she had me repeat it a few times... got to the window and charge was 7.25 which I thought was pretty high, but I was in a hurry... got the order, drove to meet a friend at Clearwater Park - opened the package and it was a beef tostada! I love your food however when ordering thru the drive through the last 2/3 times thru I did not receive a fork or spoon to eat my lunch! The sauce is great and service quick but I am very disappointed to have to eat my sloppy quesadilla with my fingers. Last time I had no fork to eat a salad. Ugh. We live up in Oakridge, so when we make a trip to Springfield for groceries and such, we enjoy the food here at Burrito Amigos. Delicious and they give great size servings. Wrapped in foil for the trip, it is still warm when we get home and in the door with all the other stuff to put away. Yum. Half a burrito is a meal for me, so I get to enjoy it twice. read more

Went to the Jerry's location and ordered 2 breakfast burritos and they were tiny. Normally we share a burrito because they're so huge but these were baby burritos! Actually went back after walking away and asked if they were the regular size and she said yes. Unfortunately had to order another one because they were not big enough to share with everyone and we were in a hurry, otherwise we would have went somewhere else. We ordered a large chicken taco salad and a vegetable taco salad. Where is the chicken? Husband didn't find any chicken until he was almost done with his salad. I ordered the vegetable which included whole beans. Where are the beans. I didn't get any until the bottom of the salad and even then maybe a 1/4 cup. So we paid 19.80 for lettuce which comprised 90% of our salads. There were very small amounts of cheese, tomato. So disappointed. read more

It could've been the best burrito and I wouldn't know because it was cold. There was barely any meat in the burrito. I asked for no lettuce and there was still lettuce in my burrito. I love sour cream and they skimmed me on that. This place is right next to my house so There is no way it would've gotten cold on the journey home. Not impressed, hard to finish, would rather not eat. This rating is based on being a divey taco spot (And I LOVE divey taco spots). I got an amigos burrito with adobada pork, no lettuce. I was super disappointed with this burrito. The tortilla tasted greasy. The salsa had an unfamiliar Herby flavor. Usually I love green sauce and cilantro but the salsa was unappealing. I am used to adobada pork being cooked on a spit and being slightly crunchy. The pork was tender but fatty and had no crunch at all. The marinade was okay but conflicted with the rest of the flavors, perhaps that is why the salsa was off putting. They used pinto beans for the burrito, which again, had an unappealing flavor with the rest of the burrito. Black beans probably would have been a better option. Also, despite having two pork options, they don't have chorizo on their menu that I am aware of. Overall, I am not excited to go back here. I'll probably just go to chipotle or something the next time I want a burrito. Their food has better flavor and is likely more consistent. read more

Long time customer... But the last 2 visits is ending that continuation. Last week I ordered a burrito (chicken, cheese, rice and lettuce) when I got it home there was NO chicken in it. Tonight we called in our order at 6:15pm, arrived at 6:30pm and waited, and waited, and waited as about 10 customers walked in and out with their orders. After waiting 45 minutes we asked what the deal was, only to get a lame excuse as to why our order was behind other who walked in and also how a wet burrito takes longer to prepare. BS! We had already paid, so we asked for our money back and left with no food. We will never order from Burrito Amigo again. I am not crazy about burritos, because I really dislike beans. However, I have heard the Amigos' tamales touted so much on the radio, I decided to give it a try. I called in an order for tamale combos for me and my wife. The order was all set when I arrived and was correct in every way. The tamales were SUPER!! Everything I expected and then more. My wife is ultra picky ( she says "selective" ) and she liked her tamales as much as I did. A big thumbs up to the staff also. They are friendly and efficient. We WILL be back. The size of the burrito was alright but that was the best part. The burrito lacked flavor compared to a los faroles, el tace grande or el pique. there are much better places in town, heck I might even check out taco bell across the street. I always ever hit the drive-thru for Burrito Amigos so I can't speak for the inside at all but just the food in general. My favorite option is the taco salad. The portion size is absolutely ridiculous and feeds two if not three people easily. It's always a generous helping of protein (chicken please) and beans with lettuce, tomato and cheese. They put chips in the bottom, which I like a lot better than a taco shell bowl. Sour cream and quac come on the side so you don't have a mushy salad when you get home, that's much appreciated. The service is efficient and friendly, they ask you if you want forks and salsa, instead of just wasting food/cutlery by giving it out without a question. I even scooped by for a quick breakfast, you don't have to stick with the traditional breakfast burrito. They offer a breakfast-plate, with eggs, potatoes, meat and beans. They come with tortillas if you want to wrap up a quick breakfast fajita of sorts but as one who says no to tortillas whenever possible, it's a nice spread to fill up on! read more

Burrito Amigos never disappoints!! My husband and I went to the Springfield location on our way out of town to go camping. We both got Carne Asada Amigos Burritos. The tortillas are so fresh tasting and homemade tasting. They were both full with Carne Asada that was so flavorful. In the drive through he asked if we wanted chips and salsa with it. Being frugal we asked if it was free and he said yes! We certainly did not expect as large of a bag as we go and as much salsa as we got. Yum! This place has great Americanized Mexican food. It's not the cheapest but to me it's worth the extra cash. Love their wet burritos smothered in mole sauce and chicken taco salad is pretty good too. So, I have been to this location 3 times this year, first time, because I heard it was good and the other two times, because I forgot how bad it was. If you want to pay $10.20 for a wet rice roll that they call a burrito, by all means, check them out. I ordered a shredded pork wet burrito tonight and I received a big roll of rice with hardly any beans and even fewer cubes of burned pork. It was a $2.00 rice roll with absolutely no flavor other than the canned mole sauce that I paid $10.20 for. I am pretty sure I will not spend my money there again. It seems that they don't read their reviews either cuz, they have a lot of unsatisfied customers. Save your money, there are excellent taco trucks around with authentic Mexican food for less. By the way, the pictures of the wet burrito's that are posted here are nothing like what you actually get but look exactly, right down to the soda cup placement, as the menu pictures. I stopped in at the 42nd street location and saw they had "fire bites"(fried jalapeños). They are killer!! I threw some in a breakfast burrito...made a great meal awesome! Here's the deal: this place's food is absolutely amazing. It is obviously fresh because they make it right there for you, it tastes great, it's just so good. It is priced kind of heavy, but I think it's appropriate for the amount you get and the quality. I am only giving it four stars because I have never met a nice person working here--I'm sure there are some nice employees, I have just never come across one. They seem like they're rushing you, don't listen sometimes, have to repeat myself a lot, but, whatever. I still go here and I don't think that factor really effects it much. read more

I stopped here the first time because it was on my way to work. I made the right choice. The food is good, portions are filling (with some left over), service is friendly, prices are good, and I am always served within five minutes. I usually get the carne asada Amigo burrito. It is very flavorful, and I can taste the fresh cumin and cilantro. The wet burrito takes the Amigo burrito, then tops it with a homemade mole sauce and melted cheese. It is fantastic, but tough to eat on the go. Their tamales are great, too! read more

I get the same things every time and I make sure they repeat everything back to me, but the last few times when I get home I go to eat and realize they forgot to add ALL of my add ons but they charged me for them.
