Great burrito option in the area with many varieties of meats that you can sub in. As I dropped in around breakfast/lunch I got the big breakfast burrito with chorizo, could've been a tad bigger but was still somewhat filling. The meat, cheese & potatoes was nice but make sure you get their green sauce as this is really where the flavors seem to come out more as well as adding a little spice to the mix. Burritos 101: when a customer asks if you have Chile verde burritos - Chile Relleno is not the same thing... saw it on my receipt but figured what the heck I'll give them a try... also ordered the standard Asado burritos. Stopped on the way through Roswell for a small dinner. We are mostly vegetarian so were super happy to see that they let you order breakfast burritos all day. We had one egg/potato/cheese/red and one egg/bean/cheese/Christmas. The tortilla was nice and they were larger than I expected for the low price. Well packaged and easy to eat in the car. The beans were refuted and I prefer whole so I'd do potato the next time. Chile was flavorful but not particularly spicy. This is a cute little place with some tasty burritos! It's clearly a local favorite as the drive thru line is super busy at breakfast and lunch. I ordered the deluxe burrito with steak. It came with the steak, cooked tender in a sauce of its own juices, potatoes, salsa (I chose red), lettuce, tomato, and cheese (I skipped the cheese). It was a very good size for the price and I enjoyed it a lot. The salsa had a good kick to it and the ratio of meat/potatoes/veggies was spot on. We do not live in Roswell, but we stop at Burrito Express every time we go through. We always get the same thing. Steak/potatoes & cheese burritos with green chile on one and red chile on the other. These burritos are delicious! There is plenty of filling and they make a meal. The red/green chile is just the right heat. read more

This is a covid review. As we fight the virus, we should support local bussines; nevertheless, food quality and service must be a constant at all times. I must admit that the food is not bad but just very low average, and waiting is long and torturous under the Roswell summer heat. They have a drivetrhu with a decent menu, the guacamole looks good with chips, and the supreme taco is less than supreme but a regular one. The only place I request to visit anytime we are in Roswell. First time we dined in. Clean and lots of small tables. The Chile relleno burrito is a must. Been coming to burrito express since 2003 and a definite stop every time we are in Roswell. Love this place! We don't understand the bad reviews since this place is great. It seems like those who prefer taco bell burritos are the only ones giving this place a one star. Obviously, give this place a try. Our burritos were lacking in quality. If I wanted a potato burrito i would have asked for one. They have changed significantly in cutting the meats in their burritos. You will have to ask for extra meat, like sausage or bacon in the breakfast burrito, but be prepared to pay extra for nothing more significant. Go Blake's!!! So happy We stopped on our way through Roswell. After reading the reviews, I ordered ahead via the online option. It was lunchtime so the parking lot and restaurant was packed. My husband ordered the fajita bowl and I preferred the smothered bean, cheese, chili relent burrito. The girls at the counter were cheerful and helpful. The food was fantastic! My husband did wish he ordered the Christmas sauce for his fajitas but was pleased with the quality of the food. My only complaint is the plastic containers, wish they used a more environmentally conscious choice. read more

I've rarely had a problem with their food, but the thing that drives me crazy about this place is how slow they are. That never changes. Nobody should have to wait twenty minutes in a drive through lane for food that is basically made to go. It has taken me ten minutes to get a stupid bean burrito here, and I was the only car in line. Ordered two burrito supremes, ( nothing supreme about it) which comes with beans. The beans were hard, dark and tasted like they were the left overs from a day or two ago. It tasted so bad we couldn't even eat more than a couple of bites. I called and asked for the manager and she said to come in and bring them back so she could refund us. I got down with the two burritos. (Mind you that the Covid19 lockdown is still in effect.) Handed the manager the two burritos she opens them pick out a bean, squishes it, and says "they're not hard I can squish it with my finger, they're good". I said "if they're good lets see you eat it". She then tells me because we had already had a few bites she could only refund for one burrito. I guess I should have opened it took out a single bean to give it a taste test. My bad! So whats worse is that with the gloves that she squished the beans with still on, she opens the register hands me cash ( cash is very filthy) for ONE BURRITO and serves the next guy who came in for a pick up order still wearing the same gloves. Best Burritos I've enjoyed in Roswell ;D Portions are satisfying and a nice variety of combinations. Priced nicely ... Tortillas are the "Best" I've eaten in New Mexico so far . (20 plus years). Large sized tortillas and so close to my "Mom's". I rarely treat myself to a dozen due to the price of $9.99 per dozen :( BUT ... I do eventually purchase a dozen for special home recipes ... HOMEMADE TORTILLAS. Need I say more? We had passing through, and local friends suggested we stop here on our way out of town. DELICIOUS!!! We used the drive thru, which was by no means 'fast' food, but honestly still wasn't too bad of a wait. My favorite so far is the potato, cheese & chile breakfast burrito.
