    Shredded beef burrito. So yummy!
    Sunny S.

Customer service goes a long way with me. The service was phenomenal for being a small shop. I ordered a shredded beef burrito, as that is what they're known for. The tortilla was very nice, had chewiness to it that I really liked. The shredded beef was flavorful and I loved the refried beans in it. As I was driving by, I noticed the historic look of the building which drew me in. I thought, if this place has been here this many decades, they gotta be good. I feel I made the right choice. I really enjoyed my burrito as we drove back to Sacramento from SoCal. I'll definitely stop by again during my nest drive dow

Got the beef chimichanga for about $8. Pretty good price these days. Inside was just meat and cheese. No rice and bean filler. A good amount of meat too. Came out quick and was tasty with some hot sauce poured in it. Will definitely come back

I've stopped by this place for the past few times I've been in Pasadena. The staff are so friendly and kind. I always get the taquitos when I'm here. This is a small establishment with limited seating and it's even more limited during inclement weather. I would happily continue to support this business as Pasadena continues to rebuild itself.

    Bean & Cheese Burrito.

Old school since 1978. I got the Crunchy Beef Taco, a Carne Asada Soft Taco and a Bean & Cheese Burrito. The Crunchy Beef Taco was tasty and flavorful, but the meat in the soft taco was a bit gristly. The Bean & Cheese Burrito could have had some more cheese (my Humble opinion) but it was also good. I've been here twice now and they have lots of regular customers. The lady that runs the lunch crowd is super friendly and helpful, I'm going again just to see her!! (and to get the JVC Burrito). Prices are reduced when you pay with cash. Burrito Express is A'OK.

5 Star burrito spot in Pasadena! I tried a grilled shredded beef burrito with beans and cheese. Chefs kiss! If you've ever grilled a tamale then you need to have your burrito grilled, hands down. They have an excellent selection of burrito styles that reminds me of the wet burrito style. I'm looking forward to trying the spot on a regular basis with family and friends. It's a great idea to take it to go and enjoy at the local park. Quick tip, use cash to pay and receive a lower price. Although both cash and card are accepted. Staff is friendly and will make recommendations if you don't know what to try. I liked their salsa verde, just the right amount of heat. Their salsa roja is all about flavor with little to no heat. There are tables inside that remind me of a former taco stand I would go to with my grandparents. It definitely has a nostalgic feeling.

Burrito Express is a Pasadena institution -- it even has its own dedicated wiki page lol We got the Ross Perot and Pasadena burrito Vic's special. Honestly it was just ok...we got mild and there wasn't much flavor. Also they didn't include any additional salsas so we ate plain chips. My biggest gripe was the salad..the lettuce was soggy and the tomato was half frozen. This restaurant donated money to the wildfires which is so amazing. I'd come back and try other things!

Quesidilla w shredded beef which i love

Hi , Went again the other nite. Got the quesidilla w shredded beef. It was yum. But u do have to pay extra for onions and cilantro which i think is not ok. I get charging extra for sour cream and guac. But their guac is not good , its not real guacamole. Wish they used real guacamole. And i don't care for the mild red salsa , i like green salsa but its too spicey for me. :( but the burritos and quesidillas are good , just think onions and cilantro should be free ( like years ago )

Service was prompt and quick. I got the pasadena burrito and fries. It was good. The burrito was flavorful and the sauce was a good add on. The burritos ain't small here.

Staff were quite nice. When you check in on Yelp, you get a 15% discount on your entire meal. Nice! We decided on a chicken tostada and shredded beef burrito to go. Service was fast. There are 3 inside booths and several outdoor table and chairs. The food was mediocre unfortunately. Even with salsa in the meals they were lackluster. They are several other choices in the area so next time we'll go elsewhere. They have a very small parking lot and some street parking.

This place is delicious and a hidden gem. Small seating areas, both inside and outside. Good price point as well especially at Pasadena prices. The food's made really fast and the workers are nice. Recently had chimichangas for a home Deadpool 3 party.

Is there rice in the burritos?

There can be. It's classic Mexican rice- some burritos come with it but you can add or take it out of any burrito. I special order all the time

I drove all the way from Long Beach to visit my discount hobby mechanic Bobby; and yes it was worth the one hour drive. One because I had an amazing ice cream and two; I by passed a tune up at Fletcher Jones Toyota of Carson who for some reason didn't honor the previous warranty, because "Fletcher-Jones is now the new owner of the Carson location." In a sense, I am thankful for the grifting, because it lead me here. If you're indecisive Kinrose Creamery does offer samples. I ended up ordering two scoops of Saffron Pistachio Rose, & Orange Flower Pistachio. I definitely savored this unique frozen dessert in this unforgivable heat. Loved my choices and I will be coming back through the summer. The customer service is excellent, the establishment is very clean, & nicely decorated as well. It appears they have local art on the walls, and it's also well air conditioned. Additional information: parking is a bit of a hassle in this area. I ended up paying for a one day parking pass, which is ten bucks and having to walk about two blocks. I did not mind the short stroll but do recommend to look up neighboring businesses to get the best out of the one day pass. There's a pottery painting workshop near by, a spa, furniture shops, and also an amazing tea place adjacently across the street.

Staff were friendly and I loved the vibe. You do have to pay for parking, but there's aplenty of spaces to park. Cannot wait to be in Pasadena again to try this place again.

I liked that their pricing for shaved ice made sense and that the latte was unique with a texture that was just watery and syrupy. I appreciate that the flavor of the mango is subtle yet present throughout the shaved ice. We got mochi and some condensed milk alongside with it, it made the texture turn creamier when adding in the milk, almost like ice cream but less guilty. The latte, oh man this is what separates DIY lattes at home from going out to buy them. It's unique, haven't quite had something like this before, would need to try the other flavors when I get a chance. Stay cool and have some shaved ice!

A Little Cheat Night Never Hurt Nobody!…read more After eating the juiciest chicken ever at Loli Farms, I've been eyeing this dessert spot for a while, and luckily it was only 1.6 miles away. So obviously... dessert was happening. Perfect excuse for a little cheat-night treat! Parking Hack: Don't pay $5 for parking! We parked about 7 minutes away in a parking structure for only $1 for 2 hours. After all the delicious food I inhaled, I definitely didn't mind getting a little extra cardio in. Pasadena parking is definitely doing the most, so parking structure it was! Mango Melon Shaved Ice -- $8.50 | 7.8/10 Mango-flavored shaved ice topped with melon balls and served with a side of milk drizzle. The shaved ice itself was SO soft and fluffy, and the milk drizzle gave it just the right amount of sweetness. The only thing was... I really couldn't taste much mango in the shaved ice. It was pretty subtle, so I wouldn't say this one completely blew me away, but it was still a refreshing treat on a hot summer night. Definitely not the best I've had, but certainly not the worst! Injeolmi Shaved Ice -- $7.50 | 7.7/10 Milk-flavored shaved ice topped with mochi, layers of Injeolmi powder, and more milk drizzle. This was actually our first time trying Injeolmi, so we were curious! The combination of the soft shaved ice, milk drizzle, and nutty Injeolmi powder was really good and made for a fun flavor combination. My only complaint? THE MOCHI. They were soooo tiny! I wanted that satisfying chewy squish, but these little guys basically tasted like mini boba that disappeared the second I bit into them. The shaved ice itself was perfectly soft and honestly the star of both desserts. Inside, there aren't a ton of tables, but luckily we snagged one right when we walked in. And let me tell you... this place had a constant flow of customers the entire hour we were there! People were coming in and out left and right, with only one ordering machine, so expect a little patience if it gets busy. Overall, both shaved ices were pretty decent and made for the perfect little "I already ate too much but I'm still getting dessert" moment. Definitely a nice way to break the diet after our chicken feast! Would I come back? Absolutely, especially to try some of their other shaved ice flavors. Happy desserts!

The Egg Heaven was honestly one of the best egg sandwiches I've ever had. The flavors were light but still incredibly satisfying.
