So how did we end up in Pasadena at Sweet Red Peach? My Mister loves KFI talk radio, and especially the Tim Conway show. The bakery was on the station because of the things it was going through. First the air conditioner went out, then the water heater. It was one thing after another. So we went out to show some love and support this small business. It is located in a small shopping center with decent parking. It's a small space with display a display case and a cute little table and two chairs. My husband tried the blue velvet cake and I got a cinnamon role and a slice of 7up cake. Blue velvet was delicious..(sorry no pictures, we ate it when we got home). My 7up cake taste just like it did when I was growing up in South Central. The cinnamon roll was amazing warmed up the next day. That's right I said the next day. The owner and everyone who worked in there were super nice. My husband and the owner realized they knew a bunch of people from their time in Lynwood/Compton area both playing basketball. We had a great time, we ended up staying for about an hour. Great time, please go out and support.

I have wanted to try the peach cobbler at Sweet Red Peach for awhile and thought I would have to go to Inglewood. I'm usually not down around that area but I happened to be in the Pasadena area and noticed there was a shop there so I took a little detour. The location is in a small mall with parking so I was able to pull right up. I went late in the afternoon. I had mixed feelings with respect to if I should give them 3 stars or four stars. There were a few people in line. I think one of the Owners was the guy who helped me but it was a unique experience. The man was friendly with the customers behind in front of me and behind me including offering suggestions. I asked if they had any Peach Cobbler and he just laughed so I asked if it was hard to get and he said "Yes" but nothing else. I asked if you have get to the store early and he said maybe up to 1 pm. It was like pulling teeth. He wasn't rude or friendly, just not very engaging nor did I get the feeling he cared whether I wanted to purchase anything. The women employees were cheerful and energetic. Even with the lack of assistance I chose several items to try: Peach Cobbler mini cupcakes that I noticed in the display case, Oatmeal Raisin cookie, slice of Carrot Cake and a Cinnamon Roll. It was hard to taste the peach or cobbler on the mini-cupcakes, cookie was good with a hint of cinnamon, cinnamon roll was soft and very good, and the carrot cake was moist, hint of cinnamon was prominent and very sweet frosting so I scraped some off. I love Peach Cobbler so I might drop in again if I'm in the area so I can try their Peach Cobbler and some of the other desserts. I'm curious if my next experience will be any better. Desserts are good but you may have to ask what they recommend and/or ask questions to help you figure out the various desserts. They have a number of different desserts.

Chef special: Fat Tuesday Cinnamon roll!

This bakery is out of control! Strolled in looking for a Mardi Gras Fat Tuesday sweet treat and got my world knocked off balance by their Cinnamon roll! Not only is it ranked #1 in LA but it goes above and beyond the call of duty. Look at the photo! You can't even see the roll! The icing game is strong! The dough, fluffy. The culinary specialist, Cañada, must have graduated from MIT because she engineered the perfect formula for it! I don't know what else to compare Sweet Red Peach too because they're in a league of their own! The service is quick, staff friendly, the ambiance quiet and intimate. This the perfect place to blow your new years resolutions!

L to R: peach cobbler, lemon blueberry, confetti and marble

Such a cute bake shop that just opened in Pasadena. They are one block south of the Del Mar metro station. Ample parking in the lot or on the street. Inside is clean and quaint and is more of a to go rather than dine in experience. The service is friendly and was helpful in answering my questions. Now on to the cupcakes! All the cupcakes were moist, soft and biting into a pillow. The frosting isn't thick but buttery and light. Each cupcake I bit into was full of flavor and had the right amount of frosting to cake ratio. Peach cobbler - so so so darn delicious. It isn't overly sweet and you can taste the spices that enhance the sweet peach flavor. Blueberry lemon - the taste is true to the flavor. This one is a bit on the sweet side. Inside the cupcake is a dollop of blueberry and lemon. Confetti - a vanilla cake with fun confetti on vanilla frosting. This was pretty yummy for a plain vanilla cake. Marble - was a bit on the sweet side but a wonderful blend of blonde and brownie cupcake and frosting. Definitely will come back to try their other flavors such as sweet potato, banana pudding, and cookies.

This review is for the cinnamon roll only - my bf and I are in search of the best cinnamon treats in LA and hearing the hype about this cinnamon roll made it a must-try on our list! First, the good: the cinnamon roll was moist and fluffy all the way through. No dry cinnamon rolls here! The service was also very friendly. The not so good: my first bite, which somehow managed to not have much icing, gave me a clear taste of the dough. It reminded me a lot of canned biscuit dough. I prefer a thicker icing, this one was quite runny and very sweet without any nuance to the flavor. Also, I really wanted to try the peach cobbler cupcakes but they didn't have any cupcakes in stock at all, only a few cake slices. We went around noon, and I hoped they would have plenty of options around that time :/ Unfortunately I've had much better cinnamon rolls elsewhere in LA. It's still tasty because, well, it's a cinnamon roll... but not sure I'll be back unless it's to try the cake or cupcakes.

    Delicious Red Velvet

The best southern style baked goods and desserts I've ever had!! Tastes like my mom or my auntie made it. Everyone is so hospitable whenever I come. Just a taste of home. Please run down to Sweet Red Peach and try it. You will be so amazed!!!!!

For my 1,000 review I'd like to spotlight Sweet Red Peach. For years I have been wanting to try Sweet Red Peach's delectable desserts, but never made it out to Inglewood. During my visit to this adorable little shop, I was fortunate to meet the franchise owner Kenyatta and her husband - both are as sweet as peach pie. He's the pastry chef, and she runs operations. When I arrived there were two gentlemen ahead of me, which gave me the time to drool...I mean decide what I wanted. The girl behind the counter was darling. I requested a Strawberries & Cream Cupcake and a slice of German Chocolate Cake. The Strawberries & Cream Cupcake was O to the M to the G delicious! I could taste the fresh strawberries in the frosting and the vanilla cake was moist. The sliced fresh strawberry on top drizzled with white chocolate was an extra special touch. The German Chocolate Cake exceeded my expectations! The cake was moist and contained an ample amount of coconut pecan frosting, which was perfect! It reminded me of the German Chocolate Cake I grew up with and was better than SusieCakes. (Sorry SC) The serving size of the cake was generous and lasted me a few days. I enjoyed every bite! I will be back on a regular basis to work my way through the menu. This is the only location with soft serve and they also have other sweet treats like peach cobbler, banana pudding, sweet potato pie, and cookies! Talk about dessert heaven. *Take out only *Private parking lot.

Peach cobbler - the crust enough crust to go *around* the tin so there's enough for everyone!

Amazing! So grateful this is so close to home!! But also it's going to be quite dangerous for me. Bye bye attempt at abs. The cake is moist. Delicious. Delectable. Had red velvet and as a southerner this is VERY easy to mess up. This was rich, moist, flavorful. As if they just cut the slice for me. Also got the peach cobbler and BABY! Wasn't expecting for it to be so big. The crust is flaky, filling firm and flavorful. Haha easily enough for 4+ servings (if you're not a big back in training like me!) The staff was beyond friendly and though there was a line, he got through it relatively quickly but he was so warm I don't think you could summon frustration if you tried. If you have particular favorites you want go before midday lol. If you only ever think to get dessert in the last hour it's open - beggars can't be choosy and know their offerings are limited the closer to closing because they sell out everytime!! We LOVE a successful small business that isn't wasteful or over produces and knows when to stop. Also no chairs/tables. This is a grab and go situation. There's a small parking lot in front. Parking should be relatively easy.

The 7-up cake and the various cupcakes are delicious! I didn't have time to take a picture, but I will be back to try other things. One of the best bakeries I have ever been too. I came back the same day, once I realized I didn't take a picture. Took more pictures, will be back for other items.

    Red Velvet Cheesecake Slice

Amazing. Had a red velvet slice and it was so big that it took me three days to finish. It still stayed fresh and moist even on the 3rd day! I also had a chocolate chip toffee cookie 10/10, a little on the sweet side, but that was what I came here for!

    Chocolate Chip Cookie w/Pecans

Some of the best chocolate chip pecan cookies I've ever had! They are big, soft and gooey and delicious. I'm never disappointed with them! Danny is super nice and always helpful with suggestions

No parking, way too busy, way too full to seat us, a line bursting out the door, the tiny bakery cafe still seduced us. That is, Mr B circled the block in the car but pushed me out to get in line. It was the idea of a flaky, buttery, chocolate croissant crumbling all over his shirt that made him do it. And I had no intention of saying no. The line went quickly. The last Kouign Amann had just escaped my clutches to the guy in front of me, darn it. But there were still trays upon trays of freshly baked, massive chocolate croissants displayed in their custom, wood display case right next to the register. Sorry about no pictures, but you know how things get out of hand sometimes. However if you want to experience an orgasm in pastry form, I suggest you high tail it here.

A good croissant should have some elasticity lacking here. - Pain au chocolat: quite large with maybe too much chocolate. But the flavor was on point. I liked it but my wife thought the extra chocolate was too much of the good thing. She reminded me that in the pain au chocolat in France, you actually feel the chocolate under the tooth at each bite. Between the two, I would get the plain croissant next time. Final thoughts: These pastries are more expensive than in other places( pain au chocolat for almost $7 and croissant for $5.5). Would I come back: yes to get the plain croissant.

We chose outdoor since it was such a nice day out. They have all of their desserts on display in the case, so you can peruse the options and see what looks good. So many of the desserts looked good, like the matcha yuzu chiffon crepe cake or the rose and lychee crepe cake. We ordered via the kiosk and got the mango sunshine souffle pancake ($16.50) and well as a couple drinks. My drink was the white peach lemon jasmine bliss ($6.25), with 50% sweetness and less ice. Even though there are signs everywhere saying that it takes 15-20 minutes for the souffle pancakes to be cooked, ours came out super quickly, in 5 minutes or so. We got it with the sauce on the side, but I regret doing that as I saw others getting it with the sauce on top and it was beautiful. The pancake was super fluffy and a bit eggy as well. We all really enjoyed it with the mango sauce. I made the mistake of eating the pancake first before trying a sip of my tea. The pancake was pretty sweet, so I could barely taste my drink, but I think it was good? I could taste a bit of the lemon but definitely not the white peach, which is a lighter flavor. I got a slice of their Hokkaido cheese cake roll for $7 to go and had it the next day. It was okay but definitely a bit pricy for what you get. I'd love to come back to try their other desserts and pancakes!

I ordered a matcha coco jasmine tea and I found that the jasmine flavor completely took over. The oolong peach crepe cake was yummy! It had little peach chunks throughout. Good oolong/peach flavor was light, airy, and slightly sweet. The black sesame chiffon roll was also light and subtly sweet with a nice nutty flavor. The cafe itself was pretty small with 3 small tables, 1 big table, and bar seatings with charging ports. The bathroom was closed and it was really warm inside. I couldn't see myself studying or staying too long, which may be for the best since parking is tricky and street parking has a 2 hour limit. An okay experience, but I don't see myself coming back.
