This was my first time coming to this restaurant. I haven't been to Pasadena in forever! So much has changed and I saw this restaurant on my instagram feed. So we decided to give it a try. I'm really picky with it comes to scones. But these scones were perfect! Soft on the inside, nice outer crust. Both the maple and blueberry scones are full of flavor. I think the maple is my favorite. The lovely girl that was helping us gave us a chocolate chip cookies for free! Which was so sweet of her. We told her we came a long way to try this restaurant out. We had a Mother's Day reservation for 11:45am (booked days in advance), but were told there was a "glitch" and it was somehow set for the next day. Several other guests had the same issue. The manager said they'd try to accommodate us, so we waited 35 minutes. When we followed up, the hostess (curly hair) was rude and dismissive--eye rolls and "there are so many people ahead of you, I don't know what to tell you." Three moms trying to enjoy Mother's Day ended up leaving. Mistakes happen, but the lack of professionalism and basic courtesy was the real problem. Super trendy vibe .... Walked in for a quick coffee break , seemed crowded and noisy . Ordered a latte to go , with one barista working the coffee bar with a lot of patrons didn't seem a little ideal during lunch time . Also noticed that she was trying to keep with a lot of orders all the while being polite to the patron chit chattering with her. The latte was alright ... had a tangy taste which I didn't dig much and it was a little pricy for $7 for a to go. Interestingly enough they serve tiramisu... I bought to go: a sourdough loaf, chocolate chip cookie, chocolate almond croissant, and maple scones. I loved pretty much everything! The bread! Crust was crunchy and the inside was soft and delicious! I'm not usually a fan of maple but I inhaled the scone. It was sweet and buttery and yummy. I could do without the salted top but that's just my preference. Same thing with the chocolate chip cookie. It was soft and delectable but I could have done without the sea salt on top. Definitely ohhhhh la la!! Loved the plants outside before entering. My friend & I were greeted and sat right away for Saturday for breakfast at 11 am. I couldn't stop staring at the beautiful restaurant!! The restaurant had hanging flowers (artificial) and the beautiful artwork on a white brick wall. It felt like we were on a coastal vacation. Brandon was our server and he was so nice and cheerful! I ordered an iced brown sugar cinnamon latte with almond milk with French toast. The drink was delicious and the French toast with berry sauce was the best I have ever had. The bread was fresh and moist. I ate it all baby!!! We also checked out the adorable hallway that led to the restrooms. 4 stars because parking was challenging to find and they charged $1.00 extra for adding almond milk to my drink. My favorite from here is the mushroom pastry with cheese on top (see photo) but the one I had today was not crispy, the mushroom ‍ flavor was lacking, a bit saltier than usual, and the seasonal was bland. I asked them to warm it up for me but it was still cold. My daughter had the chocolate croissant , which according to her, was warm and she enjoyed it very much. Came here on a Sunday with my cousins to catch up. We happened upon this place because it was a middle meeting point for each of us. I am so glad we came here because it's so gorgeous and inviting. I love aesthetically please places that feel warm and inviting. It's even better when the food supersedes the vibes. I ordered a Bellini which was super yummy. I wanted to try something different with my food selection so with the help of the waitress, I ordered the burguignon casserole. It's shortrib, english peas, carrots and crimini mushrooms. I've been meaning to stop by for a while! I Oh La La is such a cute spot where you can either order up by the register or you can sit down and order from your table, which I find very convenient, especially for people who are more introverted. Both the interior and exterior are quite picturesque. The few people I spoke to today were really helpful and kind. Service was top tier in my opinion. The brown sugar cinnamon latte was so well balanced and not too sweet, which I prefer anyway. It also came out super fast. I got there kinda late, so they didn't have a lot of pastries left. But I did get to try both the maple sea salt scone & blueberry scone, and both were amazing. I personally love scones so I'm so glad I tried these. We waited about 20 minutes to be seated -- not terrible, for a late Saturday afternoon. The table next to us ordered the eggs Benedict, breakfast platter, and French toast, and while I try not to judge a dish by its color palette... everything was a consistent shade of beige. Tan, brown toast, khaki potatoes -- the kind of color story that screams "sepia filter" more than "French café." That said, my breakfast burrito was the plot twist I didn't see coming. Surprisingly delicious -- wonderfully eggy (in a good, brunchy way), not bogged down by filler potatoes, and brightened by sautéed peppers, onions, and a punchy salsa verde that tied it all together. My wife's egg-and-cheese croissant was fine, though not exactly whispering ooh la la either. We spent $33 before tax and tip for those two items, which feels steep for what you get. And as a bonus round of irritation, their QR payment system "suggests" tips after tax -- a subtle but mildly obnoxious move. Made a pit stop at Oh La La for lunch with a friend. For starters, despite being a Tuesday afternoon, parking was fairly difficult to find unless you're willing to walk several blocks. At least it was free, though! I was surprised that they had just opened their indoor dining area, but I knew I just had to try their Brioche Eggs Benedict. This was indeed a treat that I rarely consider. I can't say that it was the best I ever had, but every part of the eggs benedict was tasty and perfectly seasoned. (Yes, that means not oversalted, too!) My friend had their Potato Gravalax. The potatoes were the perfect roast, and the salmon was tasty as well. Both were the perfect light brunch items. We also had their iced lattes, which had a remarkable flavor. The beans were subtly sweet and a medium boldness, just enough to be noticeable but not dark enough to be bitter or strong. The staff were present, as was the service, and this was indeed a nice brunch spot. From the entrance to the tables, everything was well decorated to provide a nice "under the sunlit trees in a cabin" kind of ambiance. Ordering system needs work. Sending people up to the pastry counter while also having to wait at the table to order off the main menu was so messy. Our waiter seemed all over the place but was otherwise nice. We had a larger group (8) and were seated at an empty table for 6 in a corner. They would not move the table for 2 that was directly next to ours closer , even though there was no walkway or service areas impeded. It was kind of ridiculous. Two people ended up going elsewhere for breakfast. The food was fine, good breakfast potato's, horrible jam for the toast. No butter provided and the toast wasn't buttered. French toast was burnt. Artwork hanging everywhere. Plenty of room at the tables and booths. They also serve wine and spirits and have live music on the weekends. Ambience is cute, the decor is very bright and chic, some table have natural sunlight. Croque monsieur is just a normal toasted ham & cheese sandwich. I may be uncultured swine but I thought it would be more than mushrooms on toast. The bread was the Star, it had good flavor. I was underwhelmed. Looking at the menu, they forgot the burrata on it. My MATCHA LATTE with oat milk tasted only like oat milk. Couldn't taste any matcha. I was disappointed. Now to the goods! THE GOAT CHEESECAKE was fantastic! Definitely a hint of good tangy goat and I deem it my favorite cheesecake ever now. To add to its greatness, the blueberry sauce was tasty.
