I really wanted to like Burrito Hut but I didn't enjoy the food at all. I tried four different tacos and each one was extremely bland. The shrimp, fish, steak and chicken all lacked seasoning and I'm talking basic salt and pepper. Even the pickled onions lacked that vinegary punch and flavor. Burrito H ub is one of my favorite places in Spartanburg. When I think about eating out I always come to Burrito Hub. Not only is the food AMAZING, the prices are also very reasonable. The family that owns Burrito Hub and Burgar and extremely kind and care deeply about their customers. Everything I have eaten at Burrito Hub is very rich and very fresh. I'll highlight a few of my favorites. First off is my go to order, the Surf and Turf Burrito. they have found the MAGIC ratio of steak to shrimp ratio. Every bite is better than the last, the pickled cabbage adds to the punch of the flavors and ties everything together. Another favorite of mine is the steak quesadilla! Gah! Best. Quesadilla. EVER. This is genuinely the best quesadilla I have ever had. Why you ask, because it is loaded with steak throughout the quesadilla. It is very refreshing and cheesy and wonderful. Truly my mouth is watering while I write this review. A few other items that I have tried are the Fish Tacos, Avocado Salad, and the Elote. All three bring so much to the table very refreshing, colorful, and delicious. ESPECIALLY the Elote. The first time I had Elote was at Burrito Hub and I am so glad it was. I have never tasted anything quite like this. Every bite was a crunchy, tangy, creamy bite. the whole cob was coated in spices and joy. This is a STAPLE on the menu and highly recommend you get it. And now for the best part. The Margaritas. Let me tell you! They definitely have the best margs in Spartanburg. They have really great deals for Margarita Monday and Happy Hour specials. The spice and coating on the elote was well done; thick enough to have some in each bite but not so heavy you miss the corn taste. The service was quick and attentive. We had dinner Friday night at the Burrito Hub on E. Main. We were the only customers in the place at 6:45! The food was delicious--we had an assortment of street tacos and black beans & pintos, which came with Cotija cheese. Their Birria tacos in particular were fantastic. They had great accompaniments like a delicious habanero salsa and pickled onions, fresh cilantro etc. They had a nice selection of draft beers and our server was great. We will definitely be repeat customers! They offer specials almost every night. Now for the bad part--this place is practically invisible from E. Main Street. The signage is not lit, and if we had not already known where this relatively new business was, we would have not known it was there. We live on the East Side and pass by several times a day. I hope the owner does something to improve the visibility quickly. This place should have been packed on Friday night. It's a real asset to our neighborhood and we'd hate to see it fold before it even got started. Thai Basil next door is booming, but they have signs directing folks there. Burrito Hub is such a good taco place and is really under appreciated. Every time we go there isn't a lot of people there and we always get served in a timely manner. Below are some pictures i've found from all the times I've been. I am a huge fan of their chicken tacos and their street corn and churros!! Their salsas are great and their tacos are definitely authentic. We have had the taco sampler before when it was advertised ( with at least one of every taco kind) but I will still only order the chicken. It just depends on what you like! The family that owns the place is also the sweetest and they have punch cards available ! I've attached two photos; one is a screenshot of my order, and the other is a picture of the burrito I got instead of the salad I ordered. Two items ordered. How hard can it be to get it right? Three tacos and a salad. I have no idea what kind of burrito they sent. I'm almost afraid to look. All I know is that I ordered a salad. I did get the tacos, and I've tried one; they're very bland (and soggy!), even with the sauce. I can taste the jalapeno pepper in the sauce, but if there's mango in there, there's so little of it that it's undetectable. I did get the black beans. They were flavorless and dry. One bite, right in the trash. I've posted other reviews complaining about over-use of salt in some places. At this place, they need to pick up the salt shakers when they're cooking. And then there's that unwanted burrito lurking in my fridge. What the mouthy gorilla from my Groucho's review couldn't wrap his head around is that when a customer pays for something, the customer wants, and is entitled to expect, that something to be RIGHT. This is my go to place for my lunch breaks! I have had both the tacos and burrito and I love them both. The burrito gave me lunch for two days (they're huge and delicious for $8) and I loved the variety of options for toppings. The tacos are $2.50 each and are pretty big too. I normally just get two and ALWAYS ask for the yummy green sauce (don't know what it's called but i always just say green sauce!) The to-go orders are always quick too. Service is 10/10! Being in town for the WWE NXT event, my friends and I parked at the venue and looked for food within walking distance. This place looked good and had great reviews. Best choice we could have made. We get there and the inside feels inviting, the woman at the counter was smiling, and was patient as we chose our orders. Three times we have ordered take or or delivery and all three times the order has been incorrect; chicken for steak (and paid the extra steak cost), flour vs corn and it goes on.
