Placed an order for delivery there new delivery with food dudes. First off no beverages are available for delivery. Second there is a 15 dollar minimal for orders so I added chips and salsa I didn't even want. Third food dudes charges 4.99 for delivering!!!! Thats half the cost of one burrito, to put it in perspective pizza has about a 2 dollar charge. Now for the food, odered a large fat capitalist and chips and salsa. Size was good, the spread of ingredients in my burrito was terrible. The first 3/4 of my burrito was just pork, rice, abd beans there was suppose to be sour cream and salsa inside. I found them at the very end of my burrito. The pork was tender but bland, rice was fine, beans fine the onions where cut to large. The pico that was with it was also cut to large. The chips and salsa where alright, fresh chip are good I had the chared tomatoe salsa, its basically a puree with way to much garlic that over power's it. Took about 30 min's for delivery at 11, not great the driver told me they almost forgot my chips and salsa..... Over all not that great, I wont be doing delivery again or probably eatting here again. read more

We walked into a busy night, but were told a patio table would be available shortly, as we waited someone else took our table and we were treated as though we didn't deserve it. The waiter was less then enthused to serve us and we chose not to tip. My friend accidentally left her card their and when she went back to get it was told it wasn't there. She said it wasn't possible and a was informed by a waitress that she knew where her card was and that the waiter that served us wasn't going to return it and " the bitch" could get a new one from the bank because she didn't tip me. Absolutely the most rediculous thing I have ever heard of, if I knew the owners number or email I would contact him. RUDEST MOST INCONSIDERATE MAN I HAVE EVER MET. read more

Love this place for breakfast burritos on weekends, but came in on Wednesday night for burger and beer special as advertised on web site. Waited for 20 minutes after being seated to have order taken. Then told burgers are on Tuesdays. Seriously? Update your website! read more

Burrito union is a fun place only after 9..food is ok but the bathrooms are pretty gross..the only guy that is somewhat lively is the guy in glasses..he rocks! Service was very poor would have more fun being home. read more

It is nice to eat at a non- corporate burrito joint. The beer is absolutely fantastic.Iti has a very funky vibe, and the people are friendly. Delicious, fresh food and not a cookie-cutter restaurant at all. Sometimes compared to Chipotle or Qdoba but the flavors are totally different. Service is good, depending on the day. Try the stout cake - you won't regret it. read more

This place is great. It is off the beaten track. The local kids working in Canal park recommended it (rather than one of the 20 places there). The fish tacos and the Brewhouse beer were great. I learned today that Duluth is the craft beer capital of North America. read more

Menu needs to be updated. I recommend the margaritas and fish tacos. Usually a lot of college kids and can be quite noisy.

Been here 3 times. I've been a local college student for 3 years now. Food is very subpar. Bland, and not worth your money. Monday Marg night is a good deal but that's my only real positive. Queso is good as well. But all the other food is not worth paying for. Service is incredibly poor. Couldn't find our waitress for over half an hour and the building is very small. I've been here twice with my partner, and each time the food has been terrible. The first time we each ordered the vegan burrito and we were extremely disappointed to find that there were almost no beans, barely any veggies, and the rice (which was most of the burrito) was HALF COOKED. As a cook myself, I can't believe that this is possible. Crunchy rice in a burrito that costs $9? What a joke. The second time I ate here (this evening actually) my order was made incorrectly. Since my rice was raw last time I ordered the Ding Nachos without rice. When I brought the nachos home I found that they had no Ding sauce, no salsa, and tons of lettuce (which is not an ingredient on this menu item). There were barely any beans. THERE WERE NO CHIPS! My so-called nachos were essentially a few tostadas (burnt) broken in half. There weren't even enough of these sad little things to call this plate a nacho plate. I can't believe that this place is still in business. I tried to give Burrito Union a second chance and only felt like a fool for doing so. Not to mention, the service was terrible. The woman who took my order over the phone was rude and unresponsive, and did not ask what size burrito I wanted or what kind of salsa, rice, or beans I wanted. This is by far one of the worst restaurants I have ever eaten in. I'm just honestly in shock that people continue to patronize this establishment. New menu is great! I loved pigs in a pond and now it is back! I really like the new tacos, smaller portions and tender meat.

Had the "large" buffalo soldier and for $11 it was priced way too high. Mostly beans, rice (which was gloppy) and shredded lettuce with sparse pieces of buffalo chicken. Way different than the last time I was here....very odd. read more

Wow, this place has gone WAY downhill. Where do we start. We've stopped her many times over the years on the way from the cities to Tofte where we have a summer home. We have watched this place deteriorate in so many ways. 1. Bathrooms - DISGUSTING! Did they just stop cleaning them all together? The doors are falling off, fixtures are old and outdated, and they are just GROSS! 2. Service - Where did all the competent staff go? It seems like the new bartenders and wait staff don't have a clue what they're doing. Or, are they possibly under the influence while on the clock? 3. Deck - The deck is actually falling apart. Railings are cracked, furniture is extremely worn out and uncomfortable, and the service is very slow out there. 4. Food - Portion sizes are much smaller, but prices are much higher. The menu has changed drastically over the past few trips. Queso was luke warm and gritty, less chips on the side, and we had to actually ask for napkins and cutlery. Food quality and portion size is going downhill fast! 5. Beer - Beer does NOT taste the same anymore. Tastes old and skunky. Not sure if the infrastructure needs to be updated or maybe everything just needs a good cleaning? 6. It appeared that the off-duty employees sitting at the bar took precedence over us. It was as if we walked into their frat house and we were interrupting their social time. 7. Cleanliness - The place is a dump now. Not sure what's going on, but it used to be very nice. 8. Construction - While this is not the fault of the restaurant, there were no clear signs that stated "WE'RE OPEN" and no directions for how to get in to the place safely.. 9. Music - The music ranged from not being on at all to gangster rap that was way too loud for a family restaurant. Some of the music was downright vulgar. When we talked to one of the "managers" about our experience, he seemed less than concerned and almost disconnected. He didn't give us the impression he would address the issues or that any changes would be made. He actually made us feel like we were wasting his time. Customer service is important to us when we're spending money on food and drinks. This place is severely lacking in that department. I'm not sure we'll make this a regular stop anymore. read more

Food is good drinks are good. Stand out items are anything with their signature ding sauce and the Jerk wings. Burrito Union mainly suffers from inconsistent specials and absolutely HORRIBLE service. I like the place and I go their pretty often but they are lucky the food is so good that people over look how TERRIBLE their service is. The food takes a really long time to come, drinks are often forgotten and the staff is not very knowledgable. read more

I've been to Burrito Union many times, and I've never had a visit that I would rate more than 3 stars. The service is terrible (most of the the employees are assholes) and the prices are a little too high. I can go to Hacienda del Sol and get a better meal, cheaper drinks, and much better service. On top of the usual poor service, the hostess (Kendra, I believe) made a point to stand at our table hitting on my boyfriend for a solid few minutes after she sat us. I've never been very impressed with Burrito Union, and now I know for sure I'll never patronize the place again. read more

I concur with the reviewers who found the customer service lacking. The food is under seasoned and relatively flavorless. The "medium" salsa tasted like pureed tomato with little else added. This communist Russia-themed restaurant is apparently trying to recreate the food quality common in the old Soviet Union. read more

Awful first time experience and will probably never return based on it. Walked in and the bouncer came up and stared, he did not start a dialogue and was rude when I mentioned I was there to meet friends claiming that he didn't care and still needed to see my id. The place was cramped and so loud that I could not hear the person next to me talking. The bouncer also let one of my friends in without checking her id because he believed she was with this other party that was there. Not only that, but the party let us use one of their chairs to seat the rest of our group, and the bouncer came over and told us that it was not our chair to take even though we were offered the chair. There were only 3 wait staff on for the copious amounts of people that were there, and it took 20 minutes to get our order in, and another 15 until we got our drinks. Lousy experience. The bouncer was a jerk because we were not regulars to this establishment. read more
