    Salmon salad

Tavern on the hill is a nice spot to stop with comfortable seating and nice ambiance, good service, a wide ranging menu, and good food. Note: I would give this 3.5 stars if that were possible. I think this place is right in between 3 and 4. Food: I got the salmon salad and fries. The fries were very good and the salad was alright. The fish was quite dry and overcooked. Overall, it was fine but definitely not the nearly "perfectly cooked". Ambiance: this is a fun place for a group. It's upscale, well decorated, and not too loud (though also not awkwardly quiet). Parking: easy in the big parking lot outside Overall, I'd stop here again though I might try a different food item or ask for the fish a little bit less well done.

Stopped by Tavern on the Hill during a road trip back home to the cities from up North. We chose this place because they were able to accommodate a large party of 10 on a rather short notice which was great. When we got there, we saw a huge restaurant/bar sort of style place that seems like one step elevated from a Buffalo Wild Wings like chain with a more modern menu. They offer a big variety of pizzas, rice bowls, salads, burgers, etc. - just a big American menu. I decided to go with the Burrata Insalata Pizza after seeing a picture for it in the lobby waiting. First complaint is that the picture featured cherry tomatoes which were non-existent in my pizza. Despite this, the pizza was good - crispy crust and big piece of burrata. A lot of my friends ordered other more expensive items and were disappointed in "small portion sizes" according to them. The servers were friendly and helpful. Overall, a good stop!

Came here after finishing up a ski trip. Got the breakfast skillet. Was definitely worth it. It had a little too much salt but not too much where it was overpowering. The flavors mixed well together. Would get again. Was a chill place to get together and have a couple drinks. The wait staff was really nice and was able to squeeze in our meal a few minutes before lunch was started. Easy to get to and copious amounts of parking.

Simply Delish! My waitress was timely and responsive! Outside patio sitting was refreshing. Maple Salmon Salad

The food was good enough, the cheese curds are worth trying and the service was friendly. The ambiance was the best part. The patio was beautiful with an umbrella, flowers and a fire ( it was right by a busy road, so that was a downfall of the patio) . The drinks were delicious. The short front one was a huckleberry punch ( I recommend it) worth trying but a little pricey .

Huge space that can accommodate big crowds. I was really hungry and they didn't have many veggie protein options so I had to get two meals. I started with the butternut squash pasta and then had to follow up with pesto pasta. Portion size was small which is another reason I had to get two meals. This was mid and I was on a road trip so picked this place on a whim. Don't think I would choose it again.

It's great it was dog friendly, but I would recommend going on a warmer day, Iif you're bringing your furry friends. We had the bbq burger(added jalapenos) w/onion rings and poutine. I usually end up not liking the poutine at places, but will try it. Here, I actually really liked it, and will definitely get it again. The same for the onion rings, they were crispy and not too greasy. We also got the inhouse made root beer. That was quite good as well.

I can wax poetic about wandering around the building but, that can be for another time. The brewhouse is a cool place to hang after you've become weary of hitting all the shops on Canal street. Nestled in the old brewery you will experience first and foremost some solid beers (take some crowlers home with you), and some decent food. I think we at lunch here three times? I think one kind of gets tricked into eating here. One starts with a couple beers, then an appetizer, and the next thing you know, you're onto an entree without giving it a second thought. Honestly, I don't think I had anything or tasted anything that was bad. My favorites here are: 1. Poutine: fries, cheese curds, bacon and gravy? that is always a winner. 2. Elote Dip is super good. I'd fight somebody for the last scoop of the dip. 3. the Pretzels are good. Love the cheese sauce....I would ask for mustard too, but that is just me. 4. Pimento Cheeseburger is a favorite like the little bit of kick it offers with the Jalapenos, and it was made medium rare for me to boot I did try a bit of the Wild Rice burger. It was OK, non-meat options are not my gig for a burger. the person who ordered this, truly enjoyed it. I also want to mention the their beer is fresh, well-made, and there is usually a taproom only beer available. I have missed it the last few years but, they had a barleywine that was outstanding. I hope that comes back. If you're in Duluth it is totally worth the stop. Eat some food, drink some beers, buy some merch and support this local treasure.

They sat us all quickly and efficiently, food was fast and the service was great. The cheese curds are like crunchy cubes of heaven served with a side of ranch. I had the Reuben and I can say I'd absolutely order it again. There were tons of juicy pieces of their tender corned beef and tangy sauerkraut. The cheese was perfectly melty, and the sandwich itself wasn't overly sauced or greasy. My partner had a burger and it was cooked just as he ordered and well seasoned - he enjoyed it! Definitely more of an up-scale place but they have a beautiful view, picture 'vintage supper club' vibes. Booth and table seating is available. She brought out green beans, which is better than nothing but the picture shows mixed veggies. And my sister was missing bread from her meal as well so we had to request that as well.
