Best Busan Mart location. Best place for a quick snack. Amazing spot for a spontaneous, casual date night. My boyfriend and I are Busan Mart @ Culdesac regulars, and we have now purchased from virtually every section in this store. It has honestly never let us down. Some of our favorite reasons to stop by include: - Trying new ramen. Grab whatever sounds good, pay, and heat it up in the back! - Buying drinks. This location is stocked with our favorite UCC and Ito En caffeinated drinks, as well as tons of other Asian sweet drinks and soju. - Grabbing ice cream. Busan Mart is SO on top of trends. Viral crunchy fruit ice creams, peach popsicles, Melonas, etc. -- they have it all. - Eating kimbap. Spam + egg and fish cake versions are killer and discounted after 9pm. Top tier late night snack. We've even found the randomest helpful items, like a callus remover (perf for climbers), and cute affordable accessories and skincare. The Culdesac setting makes it all the more perfect, with chill and well-lit outdoor seating, a lovely neighborhood to walk through while snacking, and a guest parking lot. Love it here!! read more

This location has more ready to eat food than the other two locations. The lunchbox and bowl look really great. The spam egg musubi is tasty delicious and good size for a quick afternoon snack. They also have lots of drinks and snacks. I got a few different kinds of grape juice. Red grape juice with milk is refreshing while green grape juice is really sweet. read more

Wanted to check this place out since I was in the area and craving something to eat. The shop is a decent size and carries a little bit of everything--snacks, drinks, ice cream, food, skincare, even random K-pop accessories and toys. It really does feel like one of those convenience stores you'd see in a Korean drama, especially since you can make your own cup ramen there. I tried the spam musubi and two bento boxes (spicy pork and bulgogi). The food was just okay--bulgogi was too dry, and the fish cake was overly sweet. The spam musubi had good flavor but was on the oily side. Overall, it's a fun concept and worth checking out, but the food quality could be better, and the accessory section could definitely use more thoughtful selections. read more

First time coming to this place and it was a great experience! The staff were very nice and the store had a bunch of drink selections. I tried a ramen I have never tried before and it was pretty cool to see all the different options they give you. I loved that they had some skin care and make up products. read more

This place is located on South side of Apache Blvd. It is near a bunch of apartments that are South and East of it. Parking is a problem because I think it's all used by the apartments, so I had to park down the street on Apache Blvd and there are not many nearby spaces. I think it is more of a convenience store for the apartments. There is a small gym next it that seems to be for the apartments also. I was looking for Asian groceries but it's more like an Asian 7/11. They do have a prepared food menu (see photo). They also have Asian drinks and alcohol. There is a K-pop area (see photo) but I have no idea on its significance or how good it is. read more

I love studying here! It's such a cute little Asian convenience store and they even carry some household goods like bathroom necessities. There's a few tables inside and picnic style tables outside. The only downside really are that there are no restrooms. This market is located in the Cul de Sac apartment complex and there's restrooms around the corner, but it requires a code and the employees can't give it out. Other than that there's a wide variety of Ramen and they even have toppings there you can buy. There's also Korean street food, spam musubi, and egg rolls. For grab and go meals, they have rice bowls like bulgogi and chicken teriyaki. I love the gyoza, spam musubi, and kimbap but sometimes the rice is hard or you can tell it's been sitting out awhile. There's also a while section of Korean skincare which I love. I highly recommend checking this place out! read more

So this location is located on the ground floor of an apartment building. Took me a bit to find it. Location was clean. They have meal options here for some prepared gimbap. Lots of great drinks and snack options. Plenty of ramen choices too. Overall, I liked the other location a bit better. It was smaller but easier to find the location. Out of all of the Busan Mart locations, I prefer this one the most. It offers the widest variety of in store items and hot foods. It's also located in the Tempe Culdesac, which has so many fun storefronts around. Depending on time of visit, parking nearby can be a little challenging. The lot may be full, but there is street parking around. Busan Mart attempts to embody the convenience store style of Asia with their readymade foods and instant noodle making stations. It's a very novel experience. The readymade foods aren't the best, but something I appreciated was that the workers here are pretty accommodating for my friend who has food allergies. They custom made a gimbap roll for her, which was so kind of them. I love that they offer instant noodle varieties and snacks that even the full sized Asian markets in the valley don't carry. If you're looking for something very specific, Busan Mart may carry it! As they're a convenience store type of concept, I would not say they're good for regular groceries or food. It's fun for a young adult or college student type of vibe, but it's also a little bit pricey for what you're getting. If you can temper expectations and keep what they're going for in mind, Busan Mart is definitely worth the visit at least once. read more

Nice little spot. I stopped here for a quick lunch on my way to work. Got an egg musubi, meat skewer, egg roll, and Korean ice cream. The meat skewer was delicious. The musubi was sadly quite bland. They didn't season the egg and the spam and sauce were not enough to give it flavor. They do have a ramen station where you can make noodles on the spot and lots of seating outside. I enjoyed it but I wish they had a few things that I'm guessing they don't offer due to low demand. For example, I saw what looked like soddeok soddeok in a photo but they didn't have it when I visited. read more

This place is bigger than I expected. It's kind of like a mini H-Mart. You can find grocery goods, K-Pop merchandise, skincare products for men and women, and a kitchen with made to order meals or to make your own ramen. Most products are Korean but I noticed some Japanese and American products. There's seating inside and outside to enjoy your food. Prices are comparable to Mekong Supermarket, I went there right before coming here. They don't have everything here, but they carry products I haven't seen at the larger Asian supermarkets. If you don't live within walking distance, there is parking west and south of the building. read more

Super cute idea with the self serve ramen, but I guess I had higher expectations. More of a convenient store than anything. Not many choices for add ons, and the spam looked old so I wasn't gonna touch that one. I did find a tom yum buldock ramen that I haven't seen anywhere else. It was super tasty! SO SO SO excited my wife and I finally got to experience Busan Mart! We got a bunch of goodies including kimpab, some juices and noodles of course. They conveniently have a heat scale showing which Buldak fits your taste buds. Super helpful! They have the induction pans, bowl will be extra and it gets the noodles just right. If you get the other noodles in the other containers you can microwave it. I will say when we got there it was around 2pm and the station was a little messy. Water was spilled, there was a sauce spilled and trash on the station to make ramen. However, everything else was pretty organized. This location is in the culdesac apartments so they do get a lot of traffic in here. With that said if you don't live in these apartments they do have extra parking around the block but if you have a lower car.. you might bump or scratch the bottom. It's just a dirt lot. It seems like they are still building and expanding here so if you visit this location, we parked on the street and stayed for two hours and got back to the car with no problem! Who knew of this second location of Busan Market!? Located in the Culdesac apartment complex, you find stores below including the second location of the Busan Markets. My husband and I came to a coffee shop in the area and seen this new spot. I've been to the first location on Broadway and this place is a lot bigger. More items, more selections and a food mart in the back that servers fresh food. There's a cute BTS section with a lot of other K-pop items. Also a wide selection of beauty items like lotions, serums, sunscreens, etc. The market was clean, cozy and a cool place to hang out to eat your ramen. My husband and I left with some Yuzu drinks and frozen kimbop for later. This place is right next to ASU, so a lot of younger adults hanging out here. I was like a kid in a candy store! Literally there's sweets and a food station! The staffs were polite, nice and a little timid but very helpful. There's a Spam Musubi section with different selections of Musubi. There's a fast food area for ramen. There is a KPOP section and beauty section too. I was so busy looking at all the unique areas and forget to take decent pictures. The store closes at 8PM during the SOFT OPENING - I went on Friday at 8:05pm and had to cone back Saturday 5/4/2024 but it's well worth the drive. Also, 10% discount during the soft opening. My family and I came here for the first time to try some Korean snacks and food, and overall it was a decent experience. The store itself was nice, but it wasn't the cleanest, and a lot of the shelves seemed low on stock. We did notice employees restocking while we were there, but the skincare section was especially sparse. The ice for the drinks tasted almost freezer burned, which took away from the experience a bit. We were also looking forward to trying something from their food service area, but it wasn't open when the market opened, which was a bummer. I'll come back again, but probably later in the day to see if it's better stocked and the food service is open. read more

Busan is located in a cute community of Tempe. The market has lots of unique snacks, beverages, and food available. I really enjoyed their selection of ramen. They also have a lot of really cute k-pop trinkets and anime items available. They were in their soft opening when we visited. So my teenage son was so hyped to come here and so we did! The atmosphere and staff were so horrible. We came in to experience the whole making of the ramen bowl and adding our own ingredients. But since it's our first time we didn't know what we needed to do so we asked. First staff (older women with glasses) working the register we asked told us pick a Shin brand and get the bowl and I'll charge you and that everything else is posted. I'm like ok sounds good. Both kids picked their ramen, bowl and ingredients and paid. We got to the counter and I'm like did we really need to get the bowl if we had one? So again I went and asked an another worker who rang us up (younger) she did a little better and explained that it's needed if we wanted to use the machine or just use the microwave. Honestly what upsets me is the lack of customer service to want to help especially when it's not busy. So as my kids are their noodles, I went and checked out the k-pop section and then noticed the older women hover among 3 young customers at the customer as if they were stealing. And then when they left she followed them then came back to watch me. Lady get a grip and go help people instead of standing there like an annoying bird. Never coming back and will never promote your store. Horrible service! The owner should definitely watch the video at how stupid and worthless their workers looked. read more
