I couldn't take my daughters to the Taste of Korea Festival because of work, so we decided to create our own Korean food adventure in the H Mart food court. Turns out, that was a fantastic decision. We ordered the Jajangmyeon and Tangsuyuk, and both were outstanding. The Jajangmyeon had the perfect amount of rich, fermented black bean flavor without being overwhelming. The Tangsuyuk was incredibly crispy, and the sauce struck that magical balance between sweet and sour that keeps you reaching for "just one more bite." By the end of the meal, nobody was talking much--which, as any parent knows, is usually the highest compliment a restaurant can receive. It's very rich, savory and deeply satisfying especially when you have a craving for it. It has lots of seafood including mussels, squid and shrimp. This place has the best noodles ! Although I noticed the price jumped up so much in the last few months. My lunch today was $26 including tax and tips just for 1 single item which was jampong with seafood and crabs. This particular jampong was with little broth and more noodles. I usually ordered the jampong soup with seafood no crabs and I think it's tastier than this one. The girls who took my order was very nice and this food court during the lunch time in the weekend is packed. Overall it was a good meal, thank you. read more

First time trying the food at Jeong's Noodle and it was a pleasant surprise to find how good their black bean noodles tasted. This restaurant is located in a food court inside H Mart in Mesa, Arizona. Yes, it is worth visiting, and yes I would recommend this place to others. Their menu seems to accommodate everyone, including spicy and non spicy options, and for people that prefer protein besides seafood like beef and chicken. If I have the chance to, I would like to visit again to try the other items on their menu. They offer plenty of parking spaces considering that it is located inside the H Mart! When my family came to visit last year, they brought over some items from Jeong's Noodle while I was working. The leftover sat in my fridge for a few days, and in between seeing them at their rental, and working I had my first jjampong. It was heaven. The crab was so fragrant in the broth and I never stopped thinking about it. But I never came out here because it's part of the food hall at H Mart. It's busy. The seating is rough. But my husband suggested we try and finally order it. I ordered it to go because the portions are HUGE! For both dishes, the noodles were bouncy and thick - definitely freshly made. I've been craving something spicy and savory for a few days and couldn't quite figure out what I needed to satisfy my craving. Wife said I needed jjampong-spicy Koreanized Chinese seafood noodle soup and she was spot on! Always listen to your wife. I've had it in the past but based on Yelp reviews decided to check out this place and my tummy is very happy I did. We got here around noon and were surprised to see how crowded the food court was. We barely managed to snag a table. They have 7 different kinds of jjampong and I chose #2, the original that comes with mussels, shrimp, squid, onions, cabbage, black fungus and green onions. The broth was very rich, savory and satisfying. I also enjoyed the chewy black fungus. While very satisfying, the soup is very oily and a bit salty but I still loved it. The portions are very generous, typically with a good amount of seafood. My most recent order of Seafood Jjajang had a lot of squid and octopus, a couple of shrimp and only one mussel; I'm not sure it that's typical but the amount of octopus made up for it. The noodles were good quality and bouncy, making for an enjoyable experience. I had a good lunch portion and took the rest home which gave me two additional, generous portions. With tax, this dish came to $20 but for the amount provided it was a good value. Ambience and service are what you'd expect from a food court; no issues or negative feedback there. 4 stars since I've had better from restaurants but absolutely a solid choice and well worth the value. read more

They had around 7-8 vendors, each one selling different foods which made me so happy. Jeong's Noodle was one of the ones that we decided to try. We ordered the Jjampong which was delicious! It's honestly very comparable and tastes even better than Paik's Noodle House in California. They should expand to more branches. I was in town and decided to swing by Hmart because why not compare all the Hmarts when you travel for work?! Jeong's Noodle seemed to be the spot for the night ... so I followed the crowd. I ordered the jjammppong and unfortunately it was not the one. It did not hit. It was overly oily that I could barely taste the broth through the thickness of the oil. The veggies and seafood were also just drenched in oil. I really wanted to love it, but couldn't get past the excessive oil. We visit this place every time we are in AZ. The Jajang Myeon (Black bean) noodles is really good, perfect balance between savory and sweet, but it has no traces of pork at all, almost like a vegetarian dish. If you want some protein in your noodles, order the beef and pork or the seafood noodles. I am not a fan of Tangsuyuk (Deep fried pork with vinegar/sugar dipping sauce) but da family loved it. Pork is too dried and flavorless, imo. This is one of the food stalls inside the H mart grocery food court. And not sure if it is H mart or all the restaurants inside the food court's decision but the logistics for busting your own tray is horrible. Everyone has to return their own tray back to each individual stall where you ordered and picked up the food. It is hard to explain but it does not look appetizing during busy hours because all the used dishes are sitting on the same counter where you place the order and receive your food. Someone should go to Asiana market food court across the street and learn from them. Asiana have a separate section for used dishes/trays, just like those school and work cafeterias. read more

Jjampong ang jjajangmyun were excellent. The noodle dishes were ample. The smokiness of both dishes enhanced the palate experience to the next level. Jjampong broth was a spicy and rich with the seafood infused flavors including from the crabs. I took spoonfuls of broth just to fill my mouth with the wonderful flavors. The shrimp was perfectly cooked, not overdone. Noodles were alienate and pleasant in my mouth.
