We are preparing to move and I called a number of junk haulers in the Seattle area for quotes. Sean at Busby answered the phone immediately and was very specific about how much it would cost, so I enlisted their help as many of the other guys would give a ballpark quote but wouldn't give me a price until they arrived...which was too ambiguous for me! It took us a few days to get our "stuff" in order, but when I called for an appointment they fit me in the same day I called. We had some large, heavy items including a piano and a large hot tub, so it took four guys to handle our job. All of them were super polite, friendly, STRONG, had positive attitudes, were super hard workers, and they even cleaned up after themselves! We felt comfortable having them at our house as they all seemed like really good people. My husband says that Busby removing all our old, heavy junk was the best day of his life. I have used this company twice before and both times was very pleased with the results but today I was super impressed. I am downsizing from a 4 bedroom house with a bonus room to a 2 bedroom apartment and had 11 years worth of junk to get rid of including two VERY large desks that even the Salvation Army wouldn't come and get. A huge shout out to Jesse and Joe who were right on time, and got rid of everything in under 20 minutes, hauling it down a staircase that twists. I never saw anyone work so fast and efficiently. Efficient and reasonably priced: I contacted them using their web form on Sunday, and they got back to me Monday morning, and said they could pick my stuff up that day. Two men showed up right on time, looked at what I needed them to take out--a couch and an old futon--and said it would probably cost less than I had been told over the phone. (I think they had calculated the space and amount without realizing the mattress was a futon and would fold up.) That's always a pleasant surprise. I did not have a good experience with this company. I had a debris pile of yard waste in my driveway...called for an appointment, and got one, next day at 3 PM. So far, so good. They called 2.5 hours early, saying they had time, "NOW". No problem. However, when they arrived, they were rude and short with me. I just wanted it done, so said, "Go for it". As I had teen-aged workers in the front and back yard, I stayed out, listening. The conversation of the Busby crew of 2 was not amusing. In any way. In all, they did a poor job, leaving enough debris in the street and yard that I had to pay my personal workers an extra hour, EACH, to clean up. The driveway and street were left a colossal mess! Yes...on top pf my $497.00 charge (and this, with a 10% discount!!) I had to pay others to clean up the mess they left. I will not be using this company again..... read more

I recently hired Busby to haul away some old furniture. I chose them for the convenience of being able to book online and set an exact appointment time. I've dealt with other junk haulers in the past, and found Busby far more professional and customer service oriented. They called to tell me they would be a little late due to having to air up the truck's tires, but still arrived within 10 minutes of the appointed time. The two men who showed up were fast, efficient, polite and great to deal with -- in and out within 20 minutes. I tried to book these guys to remove tree leftovers in my front yard after cutting a few trees. They came 1 hour later than scheduled time. The driver of the truck was rude and unprofessional. He talked to us with great disrespect, refused to explain the work, didn't provide the quote and didn't want to do the work. The whole communication with the driver was awful experience. Worst I've seen in years. It was disgraceful and very unprofessional behavior of the driver. He eventually just decided to go without explanations and without doing any work. I feel that people who behave like this to their customers should not be in the business. read more

The two guys Busby sent out to clear out my apartment were fantastic! They called and actually got there early (which I really appreciated after movers had shown up two hours late). I couldn't get access to our freight elevator that I'd reserved, so the guys made more trips than necessary to bring stuff down in the normal elevators until we could get the freight elevator. They problem solved an issue where my movers decided to shove a large box containing a memory foam mattress pad into the top of my closet instead of leaving it at the bottom. This broke the framing and the guys from Busby had no clue how it was even shoved there in the first place. To get it out, they broke the box open and pulled out the box and the mattress pad separately. I especially appreciated how friendly they were throughout the whole thing. Arriving early, getting in and out quickly, friendliness with the customer... Can't get much better than that! Definitely worth the price. read more

Wow! I'm SO impressed w/Busby's junk/furniture removal service. I've been worrying for over a year how I was going to get an extremely huge and heavy loveseat, containing 2 recliners, out of my condo, which is on the 3rd floor, doesn't have an elevator, and DOES have 3 flights of stairs to heft this thing down. None of the donation places were interested (for obvious reasons); moving services need somewhere to MOVE the item to, which I didn't have, and I wasn't sure that several appliances in my kitchen weren't going to have to be moved to get the loveseat out of my unit. Clearly my love affair w/this thing had ended and I needed professionals to manage its exit. I found Busby Junk Removal online, read their yelp reviews, and was delighted they're a LOCAL company. The next day, I made an appointment online for the same afternoon! I was further delighted they had an estimated TIME they would arrive, not some huge window of time which would have left me waiting and waiting and waiting.
