Richmond was our first stop in our several large-city road trip. And, Buskey Cider was our first stop in Richmond, which really put us in a good mood. I loved the little space. It was rustic but still very cool. It looks like, Covid aide, this place has a really cool vibe. We tried a variety of their ciders, including the Jalapeño Lime, Plum Lotus, and Dry. The plum Thai chili ginger is bright and worth a try, but doesn't come together perfectly in my humble opinion Indoor space is nice open with numerous games. Outdoor seating is small and quiet. Dogs: Allowed inside and outside Staff is knowledgeable, maybe not as welcoming as elsewhere nearby. Preferred over Blue Bee to my wife and I. The other ciders were unique in that they experiment with pumpkin, cherry, and coffee - but none of which were that good to me. Flights are 3 for $10 & 5 for $15. Service is par. They're nice and social. The clientele is the same. Everyone was communal and conversed with one another making it a social experience more than a drink and go experience. Bring your ID. Had a very good experience at Buskey Cider. Their facility reminds me a lot of Strangeways Brewery actually. We didn't have any troubles getting our orders in and were able to find a seat quickly. I tried their flight, with a variety of flavors. Unfortunately I didn't write this review immediately after my visit so I do not recall the names of the ciders I actually tried. Sorry. But what I can say is that I did enjoy a majority of the options I selected & if I remember correctly the flight was fairly priced. After coming here with my coworkers for a happy hour drinksgiving I have to say that I would come back again. The cider was pretty tasty and was not too expensive. The best deal was to go with the flights for trying to taste as much as you can. The surprise to me was when I went to close out after getting two flights that I should have gotten one flight of more drinks and it would have been a better deal. I looked around and did not see this deal posted, but the gentleman that closed my tab took care of me and gave me the better price. The flavors were pretty good for cider, but it is more of a champagne/wine cider and really sweet. I could not drink more than a couple of these at one sitting, but it was nice to check out the different types and flavors. I will be coming back here again, and will report back after. read more

All around fantastic experience! I did a flight that came with 3 6oz samples for $10 and asked Katherine for recommendations for something on the drier side. I was extremely happy with everything she poured which included the RVA Cider, 45 and Trying and the Citra Hop. The Citra Hop is hands down my favorite cider I have ever tried! I also sampled the Tart Cherry which had great cherry flavor without being overly sweet, as well as the Jalepeno Lime which I was a little hesitant about but was very impressed! It had a perfect amount of heat balanced with the citrus of the lime. Atmosphere was fun and laid back and the bar manager AJ was very friendly and great to chat with while I sat at the bar. They are also the most dog friendly brewery/cidery I've been to in the RVA area which is a huge plus in my book. I will definitely be coming back for their Girl Scout Cookie pairing and likely before that! read more

I come to Buskey Cider every time I visit RVA. It's a classic meeting spot for my college friends and myself. I recommend getting a flight of some traditional ciders along with whatever is seasonal and then getting a taller glass after that flight. We tried their jalapeno cider last month and it tasted like liquid jalapeno. Not for the faint of heart! Their classic cider and the cherry one are my favorites. They're easy to drink as you play monopoly or various other board games that they supply there. They also finished their bathrooms renovation which was started about a year ago, but with their growing popularity, they will eventually need to add more. This is a really nice cidery with a ton of cider options. We got a flight of 5 ciders. We tried the cherry cider, the coffee cider, jalapeño lime cider, maple spiced cider and salted caramel cider. They had flavors like Watermelon Basil and a Citrus one that I highly recommend. They also have a hot habanero honey that's worth trying but I couldn't imagine drinking. It's a good idea in theory and I saw lots of people playing however my big negative was how loud the place was inside. First visit here, tucked away in the glowingly popular Scott's Addition. Appears to be housed within a formal industrial warehouse which actually adds to the character and casual feel of the tasting room. Besides the obvious reason to visit this cidery, the unique and flavorful varieties of ciders, this is just a cool place to hang out. There are several areas to settle at small or large tables, small and large rooms great for semi - private gatherings. A ton of board games, jumbo versions of Jenga and Connect 4. I love supporting locals and Buskey Cider is no exception! During their launch party, we were able to sample their first 3 ciders: RVA Cider (a light and refreshing take on a sipping cider), 45 and Trying (a bolder dryer cider with a slight crisp flavor that's like biting into a freshly picked Apple) and Citra Dry Hopped (a hoppy flavored cider that reminds me of some of our more famous IPA's around town)! Each one unique with its own tasting profile and flavor. I loved the tasting room- a bold blue paint with enough hooks for every woman in the building to hold her purse. Each new cider pull is shiny and chrome and it's the perfect setting to enjoy your cider. Grab a stick of chalk and doodle or game on their table tops (yes, all are painted with chalkboard paint to entertain as you enjoy a cold one)! One of the best features of Buskey's is all of their apples are organically grown in Virginia. However, that did not stop Buskey's owners from planting their own mini orchard around the building to grow additional apples for harvest. I love cider! I was in RVA visiting and wanted to go to a cidery for a tasting. I have been to another local cidery but they were closed so we decided to try Buskey. It was amazing! I would have to say better flavor options than other cidery's I have been to in NY and VA. Each glass was different from the last and the flavors were noticeable. Busked has a variety of sweet and dry ciders, including some that are seasonal, and some that have fruit, such as blackberry juniper, tart cherry, and watermelon rosemary. They also have ciders that are in the style of mixed drinks, such as mojito and old-fashioned. The staff is helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. There are three rooms for indoor seating, and there is outdoor seating on a patio. The pours are generous. Flights are a great way to try their flavors. You can also order by the glass, can, crowler (half growler), or growler. They also sell food from local vendors, such as Birdie's pimento cheese, crackers, and beef jerky, all of which were good. Street parking is easy. Before covid (and probably after), they had a lot of boardgames to play, and had events, such as music and comedy. They wear masks for covid. They deliver all over the Richmond area and as far away as the Blue Ridge Mountains and Northern Virginia near DC. read more

It's so chill here and cool when you have big group. There's tons of board games and the staff is pretty friendly.
