This was formerly Bras Galore. The location and inventory seems to be the only thing transferred to Busted Bra Shop. There are many changes between the two businesses. My personnel file is no longer available. I came in a while back and called which the representatives were unable to pull previous notes. My new current file has my name spelled wrong which makes it difficult to location my information. I gave my correct spelling which no one has updated my file to date. Busted Bra Shop will not repair or adjust any bras purchased at this location. That was one perk I loved about Bras Galore given these Bras were pretty pricey! If you purchased a bra (Bras Galore) and have to make adjustments later on they would do it free of charge. I found this useful when you realize after purchasing you need straps adjusted especially if you lose weight or hooks need to be replaced. I recently called about maternity bras which seemed to be a challenge to obtain info. The rep was not clear and I had to ask to speak to someone else. Let's be clear if you never purchased maternity bras your hope is to obtain clear guidance. I wanted to know when to come in to be fitted for a maternity bra the clerk said, "are you at your fullest". I wasnt sure what she meant by fullest. The other representative explained woman come in a few weeks before or after they birth their child. However if you need to special order a bra I can take up to 8 weeks. They will do their best to fit you pregnant but I doubt they will be willing to make any adjustments given they are not honoring Bras Galore policy. read more

The store is under new ownership! Giving this update a cautiously optimistic four star review. What was once Bras Galore is now called Busted. I am slow on the uptake apparently because this is the second time I've realized after the fact that there's a bit of a joke or play on words happening at the business; I was trying to figure out why it's called Busted, and it just dawned on me as I was preparing this review update. I brought my mom here whilst she was visiting to get her a proper undergarment. Folks were nice; the woman who helped her said that "she was new to this" which kind of dinged one's confidence, but my mom was was ok with it and left with a bra so that was the goal. I also bought myself a couple of smoothing undershirts and a nightshirt. They have another store in Hyde Park so you have a couple places in Chicago to find a large number of sizes. read more

It's great to have her help because she knew which brands ran large or small. One model was very comfortable, but I declined because the fasteners were difficult for me. I stopped by after months of meaning to because I've been looking for a new bra and this place had great reviews. But it was a disappointing experience. I came in and started browsing. And one after another, both employees asked if I wanted to be fitted. Apparently saying yes was the wrong answer both times because both responded it would take a while. Okay, I can browse. Except the store is a mess and I couldn't figure out a pattern to how they had their clearance bras organized on the rack. What I mean is there were clothing rack labels that typically mark the start of a size but the labels didn't match to the sizes in the sections. And sizes were all over. I looked hard to find any of the sizes I typically wear and I gave up. After being left alone for a while, I decided this isn't the kind of store for me. I couldn't meaningfully browse and they didn't seem interested in helping (like they could've explained their weird organization system). read more

Kind, professional, and inclusive. The bra fitters/"boob stylists", as they are known are incredible. I have never had such an affirming experience. Busted has a large variety of brands and styles both in store and online and they are pretty, sexy and unique. It's refreshing to have this variety of selections, as unfortunately, it can be difficult to find as a bigger busted or gender non conforming person. The items can be more expensive, a typical bra can start at $40 but they have sales and to me it is worth it for quality of the garments and the affirming experience. I walked in and was able to get measured immediately, when the selections weren't quite, they brought me new options to try that reflected my concerns. Overall I found several bras that were what I was looking for, but I felt a bit disappointed there weren't more options in style or color. If you're reading yelp reviews for this spot, then you know that bra sizing for larger busts is incredibly inconsistent and fit is the most confusing experience. I loved this place because they pulled options based on my measurements and how that reflects at different brands, not based on a number-letter size. First of all, I haven't been bra shopping in awhile. It's always a harrowing experience being a thicker woman. I'm always faffing about with what I'm sure is the wrong size and finally just being frustrated but buying it because mama needs a bra. This is place is for someone serious about getting a quality piece of (dare I say it) comfortable yet supportive (and perhaps a little sexy) undergarment. Now I will preface this by saying I haven't bought an underwire bra in a long time. I always felt like those 2 pieces of metal were slowly deforming my rib cage, ala eighteen century Victorian torture corsets. This is not the kind of bra they sell here. I've never felt so comfortable in an underwire. I'm a tee shirt bra/sports bra kind of gal. But I had a dress that required something a little more supportive, yet displayed the girls to their fullest advantage. My consultant was BJ. What an absolute gem of a professional. First she took my measurements and once we ascertained my size, she helped me actually put the bra on, nipping and tucking where necessary. After that we chatted about what I was actually needing in this visit. She didn't try to sell me 8 bras, I really only needed one. But she brought me different styles, price points, and aesthetics. I bought one of the pricier pieces because of how absolutely lovely it was...delicate, supportive and with sexy elements. I think I feel more sexy when I have a risqué piece under a rather sedate ensemble. Aldo when I say privy, probably only $15 more than a bra normally costs for me ($79 vs $65 ). The service here is perfection. If I was looking for undergarments for my wedding this would be the place I'd go. They taylor the experience to your needs, which they ascertain without you being explicit, even if you don't know what you need. I bought some thigh highs that they had in my size. They carry bathing suits year round. I was buying a black bra so it was in stock but they have an online platform that carries all their styles across their different stores (BJ told be each one has a different vibe, so that's cool). I'm thrilled to have found this kind of store. They have a reasonable return policy, and a more than adequate supply of perfect pieces. Give them a shot. You are totally worth it. read more

I had a wonderful experience and I'm so glad I went! I'd been wanting to go for a long time to get a proper bra fitting and invest in some nice pieces. This was the perfect place to do it! It's not a traditional shopping experience. Most of their inventory is in the back room and they go to pick things for you based on your size and style preferences. I was looking forward to going to Bras Galore today, but unfortunately, was met with disappointment. I arrived at the store before 5:30 PM, to find the doors locked up but the hours posted as closing at 6 PM. Confused, I knocked and waited outside. An associate unlocked the door and I asked if the hours had changed, but she said no. I asked if I could get a fitting in and it turns out they do their last fitting at 5:30 and they had a busy day so they needed to lock up early. I asked if I could at least try on a few since I did arrive before 5:30, and I had made the trip out to the store with intentions of buying a bra. The associate brought me a few bras (she asked my size) to try but I felt really out of place and awkward in the store, like they were doing me a favor. The associate did not help me with a fitting nor measure anything so I didn't know if the bras I was trying was really my size. I felt really uncomfortable in the store and purchased a bra that I am not sure even fits me well. The takeaway here I guess is to make sure you're at the store in the middle of the day when they're not busy or short staffed. I hope others have a better experience than I did. I know the owner replies to reviews so I ask directly - is this a typical experience at your store? If not, what can be done to fix my experience? EDIT: The owner has replied and stated her understanding is that I arrived at 5:45 from her employees. Sounds like the employees are not being truthful. I've attached a photo here of one of the bras I've tried on (after trying on about 10) timestamped 5:41. I would not have been upset if i was 15 minutes after their last fitting. I was frustrated that I did arrive by 5:30 and they were not following their own policy. Be careful going to this establishment. Left the shop with 2 bras (1 regular underwired, 1 sports no wire) and a waist cincher for tall torso. Chasidy did my intake, measured, and recommended different bras for me. She was incredibly patient, helpful and informative. I felt very comfortable with her in the changing room. I asked Chasidy to stay with me to make trying on the 10+ different bras a quicker process. The bras are a bit pricy, however, after years of bad bras, I'm more than happy to pay $60-$80 per bra. I Highly recommend this place! I'm not one of those people that has ever enjoyed bra shopping. I also wear a bra size that is not carried in most stores, so my options are limited. This store takes the pain out of the bra shopping process. I first visited this store in 2016 after I noticed that my bras were not fitting correctly. I was impressed with the service and selection of items at this store back then. A few days ago I stopped in again after I realized that most of my bras were basically falling apart. I was remeasured and matched up with bras that worked well for my needs. I also scored a beautiful and supportive strapless bra during this visit. Here are some other things to note about this store: - They truly have bras in virtually every size. From smaller to bigger. -You WILL be dropping some money when you come in here. Most bras are $60 and up from what I saw. I don't think I have seen ones over $100 in the store, but don't quote me. - These are high quality bras and they will last a long time. One of the bras from my 2016 visit is still in great condition. My other 2 from 2016 aren't because I had worn them often and didn't always follow the washing instructions. - They also have a great selection of swimsuits, underwear, etc. read more

First, I came to this shop while visiting family in Chicago AND because my favorite shop in Denver, Colorado had closed. I don't care if I have to fly across the country to get my bras, I will continue to go to Bras Galore. Second - what a wonderful shop!!! We found parking out front and (pretty much) a welcoming staff inside*. HEATHER WAS AMAZING in helping me find four bras that met my various needs (workout, smooth, great support) and I got to choose from colors!!! HEATHER was humorous, insightful, and very very knowledgeable about the products. I could not have had a better fitting anywhere else. When I come into town again, I will call ahead to see when HEATHER is working so I can schedule my fitting with her. Believe me, she is worth it. *(I agree with other reviews that there seems to be one staff member that REALLY wants you to know that you MUST schedule an appointment. A little off-putting, especially when there is only one other customer in the store. Plus, "you" don't know what I'd been dealing with and just getting to the bra store was a victory, let alone knowing if I had time to make an appointment before I had to fly home the next day. I'm just asking for a little grace and empathy - maybe suggest that I wait a little bit to make sure all people with appointments actually show before I can be fitted. My daughter needed a new bathing suit top. Decided to try Bras Galore since they sell swimsuits year around. I visited their website for hours and if there are any Covid restrictions. This is what it says on their website: Right on the top on the main page: "Southbound Lincoln is closed due to construction. Please allow more time for parking." Me thinking: Great -- their website is up-to-date! On the main page: "Book your fitting appointment here. Appointments take priority for fittings." Me thinking: Ok, I don't need a bra for her, just a bathing suit. On the bathing suit page: "Swimwear Year-Round Whether you need a bikini for vacation season or a swimsuit for splashing around with the kids, we've got you covered year round." And, then all the brands they carry. Nothing about needing an appointment for a bathing suit. On their yelp page: "COVID-19 updates "Bras Galore is open! Visit us at BrasGalore.com to schedule an appointment. Walk-ins welcome." Ok, that was posted a year ago, but things are more open now. When we walk in the sales person asks if we have an appointment for a fitting, and I say no. She goes on that we really need an appointment for a fitting. I haven't been there in years, so I'm confused why we can't just look as I have already tried several other stores without success, and there is a wall full of suits. I ask if we can browse since we are already there, and the store appears to be empty. She responds again that I should schedule an appointment, but she relents to us walking over to the suits. While browsing the swimsuit section, the saleswoman ends up coming over and pulls a few tops for my daughter, who picks two to try on. While my daughter is in the dressing room, the saleswoman was still talking to me about scheduling an appointment and how short-staffed they are right now. Ok, fine -- if that is the case, then update the website / put signs on the door to reflect that this retail store is By Appointment Only, and walk-ins are not welcome. So, great selection of bras and swimsuits; however, the store isn't set up for browsing. All their products are organized and sold by cup size so they need to determine the proper cup size in order to bring you items that will fit you best. The website is NOT clear that this is also the case with swimsuits. So, if you are in need of a bra and/or bathing suit, yes, this is the place to go in Chicago, BUT schedule an appointment. Strongly recommend doing your bra shopping here! It's a great local small business with amazing inventory and a really kind and helpful staff. The customer service they provide is something I've never experienced at a big-name store. I would suggest booking a fitting in advance rather than just walking in. It's very easy to set up online to pick a day and time convenient for your schedule (they offer mornings through evenings). When I arrived, I was welcomed immediately by my fitter. You fill out a form indicating what styles or kinds of bras you are looking for. The fitter took me to the back where she took a very accurate measurement (turns out I needed a different size than what I'd been wearing for years!). Here's the impressive part -- the fitter asked for color preference, left for a few minutes, and must have come back with about 15 or so bras to try on. The inventory they offer was amazing! She included different cup sizes for comparison to see what was the best fit and most comfortable. She struck a really good balance between giving me space to try on while also checking in to see how the fits were and gave some feedback. Once I found a perfect size, she brought back a few more in that size with different styles, textures, padding, etc. I was so impressed at how many different bras they carry in house, especially going on Google later and realizing it was very difficult to find bras with my band size. It's impossible not to find what you're looking for coming here. My one recommendation is that on the interest form when you walk in, maybe include a question or checkboxes with budget information/what range the customer is looking to spend. Some of the bras were around $70, whereas others were close to $150. This piece of customer input might help to narrow down the search even further. I was a bit leery of Busted after reading reviews. I'm happy to report my first time shopping at Busted was remarkably pleasant. I arrived at the shop early on a weekday. I was one of two customers in the shop that morning. Although I was on a budget, I got the VIP treatment thanks to my awesome sales associate, Brandy. I'd be remiss if I didn't give full props to Brandy. The bras she found for me seem custom. I wasn't shopping for high end, fancy lingerie. That's not my thing. I just wanted a comfortable, well fitting bra. My experience was so lovely, I ended up buying a swimming suit. The ladies here are such a big help and so accommodating! I really felt like I got what I needed at this store. I was finally fit properly and given the correct bra size because of this store. Just do yourself a favor and go see for yourself. I've been struggling with bras since I've grown boobs and even Nordstrom's couldn't help me out. She was so very nice and PATIENT trying to find a bra that fits well and feels great. She listened carefully to my preferences and my critiques of the bras that weren't right for me. Concerned for her health, I picked Brittani up from school and made a beeline for Bras Galore. We met with an industry leading bra consultant and explored a wide range of support garments. Together we were able to find solutions in models from the Curvy Kate collection. Other than a terse debate on the merits of front closure bras, this was a really positive experience. I called ahead to see if they stocked sports bras in my size, and the person I spoke to gave an enthusiastic "yes". I made an appointment and got sized, then the person helping me proceeded to bring me sports bras in random sizes that were not my size at all. I measure a 32 band, and she was bringing me 34 and 36 bands with a way too small cup size. After a few rounds, I asked if they had anything in my size and she said no. It's really frustrating that she was bringing in bras that were totally out of my size range. It really didn't seem like she knew what she was doing at all, and was NOTHING like the great experiences I previously had when the store was still "Bras Galore". If you're looking for a proper fit, you're better off heading to Reddit to figure out your size and ordering bras to try online. I specifically came to this shop because they are "size inclusive", but they had nothing in my size. Really disappointing, I won't be back. read more

I went with four stars because they're doing a great job at their business model for a shopper that likes a very personalized experience. I was greeted right away, and they asked me if I had been there before, I thought I had, but after I found out they've been there for three years. Whatever place I had been to was many years longer ago. I also would have remembered the business model. They do a measuring, and set up a profile for you to make return trips easier by keeping your preferences on file. The measuring is 25$ if you get a measuring to shop elsewhere, or it's included if you purchase there. The first issue, for me with this is I'm not sure if I'm going to make a purchase, until I look. Herein lies the problem, the layout of the store isn't really by size for a shopper, you tell them what you like, what's worked, what hasn't and armed with your measurement they pull things for you to try on. As I said, for some people this is the cats meow. I'm more of a touchy feely shopper, point me to the section where my size is, (which I know because I've been measured) and let me browse. I then can ask about fit and other information, if it sounds goods I'll try it on and go from there. To be honest, sometimes I don't know what I want, do I want/need a tee-shirt bra, something sexy, or one that has to be specific to go with a fancy dress. Did I say sometimes I don't know what I want? This bears repeating, my lingerie drawer looks like I have multiple personalities. (I do) I have two things that I like shopping for that I'm likely to buy after browsing, one is lingerie the other is luggage, so the lack of being able to be an active part of the process doesn't work for me. I was told I could browse, but it wouldn't work well and this is the way we do it. Despite them having a very large selection, I don't see myself returning. It would be nice if they were organized by types/sizes so people could browse and also offer the measuring and personal selection for those that want it. So if you're into the personal shopper experience, this is the place for you. read more

Have been here a couple of times and won't be going back. On my most recent visit in early December, service was attentive but slow. At the time of purchase, nothing I wanted was in stock at the store, and I was told it would be shipped to my home. Inconvenient, but fine. More than 3 weeks go by and nothing. I call to find out the status of my order and am told it hadn't been ordered yet because nothing would be ordered until the first week of January. No one mentioned this at the time of purchase. I ask to speak to a manager, none are available and am told they will call me back within a day or two. No one calls. I call back on January 16th and am told orders have yet to be made and a manager won't be in u til January 18. Since I'm near at this location I went here to buy some bras. Last time I came here I'm satisfied with the bras that I bought here. It has a foam but not totally big foam. It's perfect for my hobbies. It is also stretchable and really comfortable to wear. It has a cheaper price and you can save enough money. Last time I bought a set of black bras and now I want to buy a color of red, brown, beige, pink, red and white bras. I didn't wear it in the dressing room since I know my size. The bras are great and I've had some great service a few times, but the nasty obnoxious attitudes of some of the staff members and the owner has driven my business elsewhere. Adios bras UPDATE: my child WAS NOT IN THE DISPLAY WITH THE MANIKIN, another customer that witnessed you and your employee be disgusting, snotty, and rude, came outside after I told you and your employee that her attitude was terrible and told me she's had poor treatment in your store as well. You literally had .99 toys from Walgreens all over the floor, don't pretend you had some sort of display art in your window. Beach balls, sand buckets, shovels and sand shaper toys, are you surprised a child was interested in them? I POLITELY asked if she could hold A BALL and your employee was rude and nasty to me, at no time did I let my daughter run wild in your store. Don't be dishonest to cover up you and your employees typical, chronic, rude treatment of customers. At NO TIME was I upset you said she couldn't hold a ball, I was upset at how mean and nasty your employee was to me when I asked, I left the store and walked around the neighborhood, don't pretend like I stayed and let her play in the display. I've been buying bras on a consistent basis since you opened like 3 years ago and I have let ALL of my friends know that also buy bras from your store what happened. They've also told their friends and families. If you don't want children in your store, don't sell nursing bras and pretend to cater to women post-partum. You sat at your desk and tried to ignore me when I attempted to say something to you about your employee being snarky when I noticed all of the beach toys on the floor and asked if she could hold a ball. You saw what happened, you and your employee were obnoxious and so rude. I am shocked at your atrocious behavior and at your employee's attitude. The reviews on here about you and some of your employees are not surprising, I feel like most of them are sugarcoated and don't truly represent the awful experience they had at your store. I'm all about shopping small, but I will never spend another penny at one of your establishments and neither will my family, my friends or their families. You're honestly an awful person. read more
