The waiter had some recommendations and we mainly went off of that. The pizza was heavenly!! The most unique combination of flavors, pistachio in a savory pizza was incredible! The pasta with the lemon sauce was another favorite, it especially felt perfect for summer. The service was great and it also has some mountain view's which we definitely enjoyed.

Apparently, reading reservation notes isn't part of the reservation process at Lupo, because they didn't bother telling us dogs weren't allowed until three hours before our reservation. Having a no-dog policy is your choice. Having absolutely no respect for your customers' time is another. You had days to tell us. Instead, you waited until the last minute and left us scrambling to find another restaurant. Thankfully, Princess Sofia Pizza was happy to seat us outside, and the food and service were outstanding. Funny how one restaurant can communicate like professionals while another can't manage to read a reservation. If you're considering Lupo, don't assume they'll actually review your reservation before the day of your visit. We won't be giving them another chance.

We started off our meal with the Chef's Signature Mussels and Pulled Pork Poutine. I liked the gravy in the poutine. The mussels were bathed in a sauce. Do dip your bread in it and go wild! My son normally doesn't like seafood but he couldn't stop eating the mussels. They have weekly specials on their website. Definitely check it out before you make a visit over! We went on Thursday and it was pasta night specials for $20. We tried the Clam Linguine, Carbonara, and Linguini Bolognese. The Clam Linguine was the lightest of the pastas. There was a good amount of clams. The Carbonara was extremely rich and probably the least favorite of the three. I thoroughly enjoyed the Linguini Bolognese. The pasta was cooked al dente and the flavors were so deep and comforting. The Braised Alberta Pork Ribs in a Root Beer Glaze was tasty too. You can really taste the root beer flavor so if that's not your thing, you should skip this dish. My son kept raving about this meal for the rest of our trip! She also used her bare hands to slide off whole pizza from right to left inside takeout box. She wiped her hands on a clean napkin that she grabbed from the bar. Then she walked in the back. 2) Another male Caucasian employee brought out our pizzas. We immediately noticed that three of Carnivora pizza crust edges were burnt. I asked my husband if he would like to return the burnt pizza. He declined, extremely hungry from hiking and chose not to return it. Unburnt pizzas of Carnivora and pepperoni tasted ok. Not a first great impression. 3) A different Caucasian male employee used his bare hands to layer various toppings on a pizza that had to be placed in the oven. He wiped his hands on his black shirt. He walked in the back, came back out holding a package, opened it, stuck his right hand in it to remove and add some greens onto another pizza that had to go in the oven. Thankfully, not our order.
