I happened upon this restaurant as it is right next to my hotel, and it ended up being my favorite restaurant from my Banff trip. The restaurant had a chill vibe and comfortable booth, the service was great, and the food was delicious. The star of our meal was the tiki pizza. The theme of this pizza is comparable to any Hawaiian pizza (ham and pineapple), but this pizza just seemed to hit the perfect balance between approachable, satisfying, and elevated (due to the jalapeño oil). The meatballs were tasty and comforting. The sauce was good and served as a perfect dipping sauce for the pizza and garlic bread. I'm not big on beet salads, but I enjoyed this one. The unexpected star of the salad was the whipped feta. It was just a wonderful mix of salty, rich and airy. 5/5 will definitely return next time I visit Banff! read more

Molto bene! Hands down our favorite Italian restaurant in Banff, and quite possibly all of Alberta! My husband is full Italian, so I'm Italian by marriage :), and we're super picky about Italian food since he and my mother-in-law are amazing chefs in their own right. Recently we were in Banff for the 1st time since 2019, and also in town for the Banff Marathon weekend, so we were in search of a great place to order pasta the night before the race (for that proper carbo loading meal!). The tricky part is that we're also vegan athletes, but guess what? Una Pizza has fantastic vegan options! Here's what we ordered: *Vegan Pasta (our favorite: so full of flavor, full of veggies & even gluten-free) *Vegan Pizza (lots of veggie, tomato sauce, no cheese) *Rosemary Focaccia Bread *Roasted Broccoli (loved the sun-dried tomato pesto & we requested no pecorino romano) It all was so delicious that we went back 2 more times during the week-long trip! My favorite place to dine at while in Banff! The people of Banff are just so nice and welcoming! We sat at the bar and enjoyed a delicious espresso martini with tequila (personal preference) and shared a pizza and salad. We ordered the Simple Green Salad and The Local pizza. What can I say? When in Canada make sure you put some maple on it?! The maple toasted sunflower seeds in the salad was a nice touch *chefs kiss* and maple syrup on the fennel and bacon pizza *drool*! I wish we had time and an appetite to try all the pizzas. I would definitely recommend making this one of your dining stops! 10/10 would recommend! read more

Came for dinner after a day of hiking to a packed restaurant on Sunday night (about 30 min wait for a walk-in) and had a great experience. To start, we had the fried garlic bread with tomato sauce ($17, great) and the three cheese stuffed Arancini ($13, good), and for mains we had the pesto pizza with sunflower seeds ($27, excellent) and the gnocchi bianca ($26, great). Our server was very accommodating of substitutions we requested. The Earl's Pale Ale from Born Brewing was a nice beer to go along with the meal. read more

We ate here twice on our trip. Menu is marked gluten free. There is gluten free brioche, pizza and pasta. The gluten free pizza was good--nothing impressive and the edges were overcooked/burnt. They also forgot my vegan cheese the first time and when I sent my pizza back, I got my pizza back with barely any cheese on it. That's pretty disappointing when you're already paying an upcharge for gluten free crust and for vegan cheese. My husband got the gnocchi Bianca (substituted gnocchi for gluten free pasta) and he added Italian sausage. He enjoyed it. He also ordered the gluten free brioche. He liked it (3/5) but was a little dense. We really enjoyed the medjool date appetizer. Very small portion size (4 for $14). I ordered the gluten free bolognese on our second visit. I do not recommend. The red sauce tasted like tomato sauce out the can. It was not good. Service was okay. We had the same waitress both times and it often seemed like she was confused and we had to keep clarifying our orders. Our friend ordered the regular focaccia and didn't care for it. We were seated as soon as we got there, without any reservations. still a lot of tables available indoors. We ordered the pepperoni pizza, the Gnocchi Bianca, Rigatoni ala Bolognese. Cute trendy place. Gourmet pizza seems to be their item, we also ate their burnt Brussel sprouts and gnocchi. Felt a bit discriminated against when we approached for a table here. We're an Indian family, walked in with another family we were in town with and requested two tables of 4. They had plenty of space but said that since we walked up with a large group, regardless of sitting separately, we would be charged 20% gratuity, EVEN if we sat separately that we would have to share a bill. It seemed super strange that they weren't allowing us to sit as individual families despite there being plenty of 4 seating tables available. We were there as four adults and four kids, obviously two separate families. The blonde woman today in a printed white and black top said that if we weren't willing to do that, that we would not be served at the restaurant. Makes no sense why they would say this unless our appearance factored into their decision making because we had literally just walked up to request a table like every other person sitting there and our request was for two tables for 4. If I could give 0 stars, that would be more suitable. Horrible staff!! On a side note, I had a coffee in my hand from a cafe down the street and she said I also need to throw that out before walking in. I totally understand that they don't want outside drinks but it was just one thing after another and we were already just ready to walk away. Sadly, my kids had to hear her rudeness and that was just my limit so I had to post a review and share my experience. Enjoyable meal here. I think I liked the sides more than the pizza but the pizza was good too. The pizza is thin crust (not Neapolitan style though) and all of the components from the sauce to the sprinkle of sea salt were so tasty. We ordered the Margherita deluxe style and the cold slices of fior di latte cheese and drizzle of pesto really made this for us. Yum! Perfect appetizer. I liked the sautéed prawns as well, the sauce was light. The mushroom pizza was okay, lot of arugula on it, made it little bitter for my taste. Food was pretty good! We ordered the spring salad with the spicy prosciutto pizza. The spring salad was great with slivers of Granny Smith apple and had an appropriate amount of dressing on it. The spicy prosciutto pizza was delicious and was my favorite part of the meal, however the toppings slid right off the pizza as you picked each slice up so you had to hold it funny and kind of put the toppings back on with each bite. The crust was nice and crispy and there was a perfect ratio of toppings to dough. The flavors were incredible though and would absolutely go back to try more! read more

2.5 stars but I'll round up. Honestly, very expensive for what it is, and while not bad, it wasn't good either. The pizza was lacking in cheese. The tables were jammed in tight, there was a long wait despite there being no one waiting when we got there, and the service was just ok. The drinks (non-alcoholic) were pretty expensive.
