Great burgers. A lot of Texas history in that old building. Friendly staff. Housed in a former old fashioned gas station.

For a hole in the wall, this place is pretty good. There burgers are good and big! I usually get the patty melt.

The restaurant is well-known for its root beer floats, but since we were already stuffed from our meal, we'll have to save that for our next visit. I ordered my go-to, the mushroom burger, with fries and a drink. My husband went with the "Low and Slow" burger and a side of onion rings. The onion rings were absolutely delicious--thin and crispy, exactly the way I like them! The setup is simple: you order at the register and then find a seat. The atmosphere is fantastic, like stepping back in time with all the antique objects decorating the space. I especially loved the "Elvis wall" near the women's restroom. Elvis holds a special place in my family's heart, so that was a really lovely touch. Great food and a wonderful vintage vibe. We'll definitely be back to try those floats!

I'd heard of pops burger stand a while back when mentioning before to a co worker about wanting a good home style Like hamburger, but never had the opportunity to try it. It's located in downtown waxahachie, easy to miss especially if you are driving too fast . Or aren't looking for it. I missed it and was actually looking for it lol. I was able to pull right in front the location where there were a few more open parking spots . So parking was fairly easy. I ordered a regular pops burger - the original , a regular fry and a regular size Dr Pepper. Added cheese, onion and lettuce and Paid around $12 , pricing seemed fair considering the economy were currently in. I placed my order to go , The burger was decent, and smaller than the pictures I'd come across on the restaurants facebook page and google pictures. For me , there's nothing to really brag about but also nothing to complain about either. Fries were decent as well but the ice was amazing and comparable to sonic. Not sure if this location has a juke box, because I didn't see one . I was too entertained by the rest of the decor , but I feel that's really all that this place would need for it to be the perfect hangout spot for me lol . The service was quick and the service providers were very friendly and welcoming. I look forward to eating at this restaurant again soon.

She was very direct and told us upfront it would be about a 20-minute wait, which I appreciated. While we waited, I sat in the car listening to the thunder and rain. There was something peaceful and simple about that moment and I loved it. My husband stayed inside to wait for the food. During that time, a couple came back in upset about the wait and asked for their money back. The owner had just returned from a family event and was clearly trying her best to make things right. Even when the couple was rude, she handled it with grace and empathy, saying, "I'm sad that we failed you." It was such a human moment. One that showed how much she cares about her customers and her business. And our hamburgers were absolutely delicious! Definitely worth the wait. I enjoyed everything about this experience. Support small businesses like this one, friends! It's a hidden gem where real people work hard and care deeply about what they serve.

Think old-fashioned burger stand from many yesteryears. I doubt there has been many updates on the 93 years since this place began. The place had a vintage diner kind of ambiance to it. These folks have been slapping burgers in front of folks since 1932. So if my math adds up, that is 93 years of burgers and fries from these guys. Knowing that fact, I had to give them a try! After walking in, I approached the counter. The person who took our order was friendly and super efficient. She was helpful in explaining how things worked to these two first-timers. Walking away from the counterfeit , I in in had gone full steam ahead having ordered a Chili-Cheeseburger and Fries. I was taken aback when the counter person informed us it might be about 20 minutes but I went with it as they were busy. It took all of 20 minutes to get our order, but let me tell you, the wait was worth every second. This burger is not being over-hyped, it's amazing!

These are beer battered which typically I'm not a big fan of but these are really good. The onions are sliced big which again not generally a fan but they are good! Cheese curds were good as well. I had them last time. This time they were just past the perfectly cooked point cuz the cheese had oozed out to where they all were about half hollowed out. But still good and did not have an over cooked grade by any means. We would order again as well. I am happy with a hamburger all the way and get the senior /kids burger and it's plenty big enough since I eat curds and onion rings ( and cobbler). His double meat was cooked perfectly and both were dressed nicely and with care which we appreciate staff taking the time to do. Waitstaff had great timing. Again one staff for the room and they do an excellent job handling everyone. Our order can exactly when and how we requested. We did get pecan cobbler to go and blackberry cobbler to eat here. I would probably pass on the blackberry next time. Can't say about the pecan yet. It can out of the fridge and seemed to have been in there for a few days. There was condensation dripping inside and it was ice cold. And it kinda had a soupy texture, but not from blackberry liquid if you know what I mean, but rather from sitting in the fridge and collecting condensation They also season with cinnamon it tasted like which would not be my choice if I was making it. But all else we would order again. We will defiantly be back again.
