I placed a call that Monday and inquired about when the flowers would arrive as I had already been billed. The owner apologized and explained that I shouldn't have been given the option during my online order for next day delivery because Busy Bee is not open on Sunday. Very disappointed with the service I got. I tried to get my mom an artificial flower arrangement for her one year anniversary of her passing and I received a crooked cross and a ribbon with staples. Not only that, it didn't even make sense. "Your sisters we love you." What? That's ridiculous. I tried to tell them it was crooked and the cross didn't line up and they rushed me out the door. I have purchased corsages and boutonnières in the past from Busy Bee and have always been very pleased with the product and professionalism exhibited to me. Due to a time constraint, my daughter and I reluctantly visited Busy Bee ten minutes before closing in order to order a boutonnière for her prom date. The owner welcomed us warmly, was very friendly, and offered to create the item for Is on the spot. She didn't rush us out the door, but instead was interested in making the product special by adding a little gold glitter to match my daughter's dress. Imagine our surprise when she refused payment! Busy Bee is my boyfriend's go-to florist. I've received several arrangements - each one has been absolutely STUNNING and fresh (they seem to last forever). On one such occasion I was fresh out of surgery and the woman who delivered the flowers (the owner, I believe) actually called, made her way in at my request and just short of placed the arrangement on my coffee table. Service like this is unparalleled, I was so impressed. Naturally, when it came time to send some "get well" flowers to my coworker, Busy Bee was my first choice. I am surprised that the only review for this flower shop is scathing. I went into Busy Bee Florist yesterday to buy some flowers for my friend's birthday. I chatted with the owner for around 10 minutes or so and found her to be extremely pleasant (and not old enough to have been in the business for 35 years!). The selection of flowers was very nice, and the place seemed full of all sorts of gifts and such as well. All I bought was a bunch of loose flowers, as my friend is a huge fan of arranging them herself, so I can't say that I was impressed or not with the design of my flowers, but the arrangements that were in the cooler were all stunning. I wonder if Vickie G. who wrote a terrible review was in the shop when it was under different ownership/management. The woman (who said she was the owner) that I dealt with was super accommodating, and even gave me a few roses for free because she said although they still looked very fresh, she knew that they had been in the shop for a few days already and wanted me to have them for no charge. Unfortunately, I was working late so the owner came out herself at 9:00 AT NIGHT to bring me my flowers so that they wouldn't freeze if she left them on my doorstep. Contrary to my expectation, the quality of the arrangement was great and the quantity of flowers used was excessive and the art of colors used was memorable. I am a loyal fan as i have seen this business florish amid its new owners which put their sole into this and with its cheaper alternative and flexible delivery schedule, you can not beat it anywherer. I was most impressed when i heard that they do so much for the troops-in-absence where they deliver to their family, mother, fiance, etc. and they pay when they return to town. the owners are most generous, not to mention they are highly educated and studied inthis field. they introuce art in their work. I cannot say enough about Giti, her company Botanica, and the flowers at my wedding. My fiancé and I planned an out of town wedding and we live about 7 1/2 hours away. During our planning process, our previous florist didn't treat my parents, me, or my fiancé with respect or consideration. She threatened to not provide service 3 times before we decided that it just wasn't worth dealing with. So 2 months before my wedding, in a completely stress filled frenzy, I started to look for florists again. All I can say is thank goodness for Giti. She told me right from the get-go that everything was going to be OK, that she was going to make sure our flowers were perfect. She was able to fit me in to see me for a consult within a few days' notice (I flew in from out of town), brought a sample centerpiece to my mom and dad's house, AND she even brought my wedding ceremony/reception flowers to the hotel that night so they would be there for our brunch the following day!! I cannot say enough about this woman other than she was the kindest, most professional, caring person I could have dealt with and I only wish I had found her from the get-go. She got to the venue before I did, had all of the tables set up (they took my breath away), and stayed there right until I started to walk down the aisle (she even took a video of me right before I walked down so I had that moment with my dad recorded). In regards to the actual flowers. My bouquet was the most stunning bouquet I have ever seen. I wish I could insert a picture right here because I would. She was able to get the anemones with the dark-blue centers for me, which every other florist told me they wouldn't be able to get (since they were out of season). She was able to provide advice, suggest flowers/colors, show me her own work examples, and even sent me pictures the day of/before of our actual flowers that she was going to use. I had so many people at the wedding comment on the centerpieces, altar pieces, boutonnieres and of course, my bouquet. Her flowers truly gave me the feel that I wanted - romantic, classic, sophisticated. She was able to do all this within the budget that I had told her we needed to stick by and never once tried to tell me to spend more than we could. I would advise everyone to use Botanica and Giti. Giti is absolutely amazing- she did my wedding this weekend and even the photographer said that she had never seen such gorgeous flowers. Not only was her work beautiful it was really interesting too- usually in table arrangements you see boring fillers like baby's breath or whatever but she included greenery that I had never seen before. I stopped into Busy Bee Flowers because I was attracted to the wonderful planter outside the door and the colorful and artistic window display. When I entered I was greeted by a very pleasant young woman. She offered help, but I wanted to look around first. She left me alone, but was there to help as soon as I had a question. There was a lot to look at, very pretty and unusual gifts and plants. The flowers in the cooler were very fresh looking and there was a big selection of unusual ones, some looked like wild flowers (which I love). I wanted to order an arrangement for a friend who lost a family member. She asked for my color preferences and style of arrangement. She showed me containers. I asked to see photos, what I saw was lovely. I am not a designer in any way, but I know what I like. Looking at her photos told me everything about her, she knew her stuff! I gave her my price range (which wasn't very big), but it was fine with her.
