I called on Christmas Eve to see if they had beef tenderloin. They said that they had sold out but were getting more in later in the day, took my number and actually called me to let me know the truck hadn't come as early as expected, and the again when the meat was ready. When I came in to pick it up the tenderloin was beautifully cut and prepared ready to season and put in the oven. Fabulous quality, great customer service and reasonable prices. read more

I can't say enough good things about this place. It has forever ruined me from buying meat at the supermarket. The USDA Prime steak that they sell is to die for! I regularly get the Ribeye, porterhouse, and Tri-tip. Can't go wrong with either one. However the Ribeye is the steak to end all steaks. It is the best steak that I have ever had. I refuse to get steak at restaurants now because my steak from Butcher Block is better! I also love their sausages and hamburgers. My entire family can't get enough of the bacon burgers. It's beef with bacon ground with it. Best burgers ever! Their Linguica sausage is something that I'm so glad that they offer. It's so hard to find but the have it at Butcher Block. So good for breakfast. I had their hot Italian sausage the other night and it was also fantastic. Everything here is top notch but the prices reflect it. If you are looking for a cheap BBQ. Excellent butcher! This is the second time we have gotten our thanksgiving turkeys from here. This year, we celebrated early and ordered a 20 pound fresh turkey. Unfortunately (or fortunately?) they ended up only having two 11 lb turkeys. Worked out for us since there was less cooking time. The turkeys were fresh and the cavities were cleaned out for you already. We had an amazing dinner thanks to this awesome shop! Service was excellent. We will be back again next year if we end up hosting again. read more

I came in on a Saturday for some steaks for dinner and it was pretty packed and I can definitely see why! This place has a lot of meat, almost anything you can ask for! I was overwhelmed by the selection of high quality meats! It seems they also have a variety of meat packages you can order! In the future I might look into ordering one of these packages! In the end I came in for steaks but left with steaks, sausages, and more! The customer service was also great! The person who helped me was fast and efficient! If your looking for quality meats at fair prices, this is the place for you. They have a great selection of fresh meats for the grill as well as frozen meats for later. I went in for a brisket and ended up getting on of their meat packages as well. I got a brisket which was perfectly trimmed and ready for the smoker. This was my first attempt at smoking a brisket, so the girl at the counter recommended to try a brisket flat first. That was a great call, it turned out nicely! Love love love butcher block meats. Their prime cuts are so much better than any of the local grocery store chains. I do a lot of smoking and grilling and always get my meat here for important cooks. They have cut down larger beef tenderloins to my needs which is great. One of the guys spent many years working at Albertsons so he knows his way around the meat! They also have some wild game and specialty meats great for the grill. My wife loves their twice baked potatoes and they are also our go to for Vienna Beef products. Ordered two briskets for a pre Thanksgiving party. More expensive then Costco but not by much, $1 a pound. I think it is prime and from the mid West. Wow, this was the best brisket ever. Heard about this place from a friend. Decided to check it out as I needed something for dinner. It's a small store with one counter but two cases and a couple of fridges. They have a ton of sauces and spices as well. They have some frozen meats as well as fresh. They also have bone broth. I grabbed some chicken wings, a couple of brats - different flavors, two marinades (kept friendly which is a plus) and some ITALIAN BEEF!!! I have looked everywhere in the valley and no one sees Italian beef! Hell Yeah! For lunch I air fryed some chicken wings and the cheddar brat. Wow! So good!! I've gotten chicken wings at other locations but loved the size and the flavor of these. I'll be back! I wonder if they ever have sales so I can buy in bulk. We've been buying meats here with the Groupon and Living Social deals since they first opened. Great deal! I love, love, love the Hanger Steaks which you can not find locally. I've had their Rib Eye, bone in and boneless, the boneless NY Strip and of course my favorite Hanger Steak. This past visit I did purchase some sausages to try that were not included in the coupon deal, after reading great reviews on them. The sausages were fantastic! Their burgers are amazeballs! Grab those in the freezer section for weekend grilling. I've purchased a couple of their meat packages. The bacon is so good! Dammit! I forgot to get more bacon this last trip!! Pork chops, pork steaks, bone in pork chops, rib eye, sirloin steaks - all fabulous tasting!! Their chicken breasts are the size they are supposed to be, not all injected with growth hormones. And they taste fantastic on the grill or sprinkled with lemon pepper or dipped in bbq sauce. I normally buy my beef products at Von Hansons, but someone had suggested this place which is closer to my house. What a disappointment! I'm planning my annual prime rib Thanksgiving dinner, and thought I'd stop by and ask about standing rib roast prices. The disappointment of this place began the minute I walked throught the door. I was shocked that it's only 1/4 the size of Von Hansons, but that wasn't the deal killer. The killer was when I was greeted by the man behind the counter with his "Oh, you're just a customer, why are you bothering me?" attitude. I got past that, and asked him if they carry rib roasts. He said yes, and pointed to some ribeye steaks under the glass. I said, "no, I need rib roast to make prime rib dinners". Again he pointed to the ribeye steaks while bragging about his butcher. Once again I asked about rib roast. Again, he pointed to the ribeye steaks. In frustration, I just bought a couple of filets and departed. I don't care how good the filets are, I'll never go back to a butcher shop that doesn't even know what a rib roast is. read more
