Updated Review: I really appreciate the fact that the GM reached out to rectify the issues we had during or Acura purchase. This definitely changes my perception of this dealership. Thank you, Paul. Bought a brand-new Acura a couple months ago and the experience was less than mediocre. We came to an acceptable agreement regarding purchase price and down payment swiftly but had to wait hours just to sign paperwork that took less than ten minutes. During that time there was no initiative to inform us of the functionalities or specifics of the car. There were scuffs on the upper part of the door as well as the door panel. They sent out a "detailer" who swiped something haphazardly, leaving dark swipe marks all over the door. The plastic cover over the gear label has tons of scratches all over it. Those were some of the frustrations with the buying process, but the real irritation came after we received our new plates, which compelled me to write this review. I specifically told Steve Perry we wanted to transfer our WC plates, like we had done twice before with no issues. He proceeds to tell us that we can do that at the DMV once we receive our new (tree) plates because "if we did it at the time of purchase, it would cost us more." Really? That was news to me. For one, who wants or has time to sit at the DMV to replace their license plates when they can do it at the dealership? Secondly, how dishonest and inconsiderate. So... come to find out after a 1.5 hour wait at the DMV, (thanks Steve) the rep asked why the dealership didn't transfer the plates on our behalf because instead of it costing a whopping $6.00, it cost us almost $70! Apparently a $4k plus down payment wasn't enough. Needless to say, once our lease is up, we'll go to an Acura dealership up north. read more

If I could rate this dealership with a negative 10 I would. My husband and I drove from Roseville, Ca to Ashland to purchase a 2023 Acura TLX A Spec in February 2025. The salesman could only find one key, told us the other was somewhere and he would find it then mail it to us. It's now the end of July after several phone calls we finally got a key in May. We had to take it to our local Acura dealer to have it programmed, just like the key, we were promised reimbursement. Again after several phones calls and multiple excuses we have not received our reimbursement. Every phone call we speak to someone new as the previous person is either in the hospital or no longer employed there. We regret making the drive to Oregon for our cash purchase. This dealership is really out there, they are extremely unprofessional!! DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY WITH THIS SHADY BUSINESS!! They were very happy to take our money however they have no interest in repeat customers as they have treated us so disrespectful that I will never do business with them again nor will I recommend anyone to them! read more

I sent my information to this dealership over a 2003 Mustang I was interested in. They texted and called me promptly right after. I'm in California so not local. I was ready to book a flight the next day. They told me the car is currently in the detail shop and would be ready in two weeks. BUMMER. Anyways, Two weeks later I checked back with them and was informed it was still in their detail shop. I texted them again 3 weeks later and was told the same thing but they told me I would be called/texted as soon as the car is ready. Well that didn't happen. I seen the listing had been updated with new pictures and price. It was at $21,991 and the price got raised from $28,991. Yup a $7,000 increase and no one EVER reached back to me. Took my car in for service and they call sounding desperate that I needed to change the cabin air filter. Against my better judgement I agreed but somehow they screwed up and I had smoke coming out of my dashboard because my blower motor burned up. So I brought it back a few days later during which time the fan stayed on full blast, couldn't turn I off, and they replaced the blower motor and I thought we were done. The next morning my tire pressure sensor that isn't supposed to go bad for 10 years went bad. When I called just to let them know what happened, didn't ask them to pay for the sensor just informing them about my experience and the manager Curtis Hancock laughed at me. Then started arguing with me even though I wasn't asking them to pay for it. Think about this if your thinking about buying a car here. Your only valued until your not. Went through insurance to get the side of my car repaired (got ran off the road from a drunk driver) the side of my car was repaired great. Poor communication from Ethan saying it was ready then not ready for pickup multiple times. Once I finally was able to pick my car up. Notice a long deep chip on my hood (not there before). Asked about it when I was looking over the repairs- Ethan and Auto-body managerTravis passed the buck and said it was Les Schwab who caused chip. Called Schwab to pull their video footage. Not them. Have been leaving messages with receptionist for well over two weeks to have GM for the parts/auto body side Curtis. Curtis called me back finally, told him I know they don't have before pictures but I do. It wasn't there before. He asked for me to email them, refused to give me a email address for him to insure this gets dealt with... but said he would email me. No email and no returned call for another 2 weeks now. Called for an oil change today or tomorrow, and I was told that the "billing System" was down so they couldn't change my oil. Seriously... what happened to a pen and paper receipt? The last time I was there was for an oil change and I sent well over a thousand dollars. I was in the industry for twenty years, and I know the systems go down, but that does not stop you from writing a receipt "by Hand" and taking someone's money. This is an update. This is the absolute worst service of any dealership I have ever been to. I made the mistake of purchasing a service agreement. The issue is with getting service scheduled. Use app to schedule, only to have to hope they get ahold of you "oh I emailed you " right.. or phone number was odd so I didn't leave a message. What?? The worst service ever. For the past 17 years since we purchased new our 2002 MDX, we have had our car serviced at Acura service centers at least twice every year, regularly at Butler Acura since 2004. We have depended on Acura Service to be proactive to avoid potential problems, following ALL their guidelines as well as their suggestions even when we did not see any problems that might warrant additional services. We were "lucky" that on 17 April 2019 the coolant hose ruptured as we drove into our garage -- instead of on the highway -- where we saw a large puddle of blue-green liquid and an empty coolant tank, photos of which (fluid and floor AND photo of empty coolant tank) we attached to a description by email that night to Service. The paper towel next to the puddle was blue, so when we called the next morning to ask if we should have our car towed the 2.5 miles to Acura, we were told that "100%" it had to be windshield fluid, no matter what our photo showed, so it was safe to drive to Acura. The liquid turned out to be coolant. We do not understand how all engine hoses got in such a deplorable state without any warning to us? We depended on the big bucks we pay Acura to find potential problems. We certainly did not see any such problems, but now we are told that the hoses and clamps were in a terrible state? In fact, in our service of 18 April 2019 ($1000+) just prior to our service to replace all hoses ($500+), we see that everything including hoses were checked Green Satisfactory, yet after the massive leak we were told that the hoses were in terrible deteriorating shape???? We did not get a loaner for the 4 days our car was in the Acura shop as we told none were available; we walked down the street to get a car from Enterprise. We did get a loaner for our very last service at Butler Acura. We were "lucky" on Aug. 15, 2019 when our car stopped dead in its tracks in a Costco parking lot and could not be re-started or moved, it was completely locked up. If this had happened on the freeway there would have been a very serious accident. After towing the car to Butler Acura we were told that our car's engine likely suffered a lot of damage. This was the engine we were told -- before the hose breaking -- should last a few hundred thousand miles longer. We had no choice but to accept $100 for our car, and pay $530 (net $430) just to be left with no car -- a car that Butler Acura recently offered us $3000 for a trade-in for a new car because our 2002 MDX was in immaculate shape! We could have sold the car to a junkyard for $155 but we just wanted to get over this nightmare. The reply we got from Acura Client Relations was truly pathetic: "We understand this experience has been incredibly frustrating for you, and offer our sincere apologies for this inconvenience. Your input assists us in fully understanding our customer's perspectives and we thank you for sharing your experience with us. ... We want to ensure that all customers have a smooth and stress free experience." read more

I am so happy with the help I received from the service department. Scott assisted me and answered all the questions and concerns I had. I didn't feel like I was overpaying or taken advantage of like I usually do at auto shops. He was so patient and honest in explaining to me all the services my car needs. This dealership employs the old dealer add-ons scam, one of the oldest tricks in the book. When asked why the price on a particular car was more than MSRP Dave Peterson (salesman) replied "All of our vehicles have the Acura Protection Package which includes all-weather mats, cargo tray and wheel locks --- listed on every vehicle here." So, the customer has no choice but to purchase an accessories package along with the car. The package, by the way, is grievously overpriced, beyond even Acura MSRP, the markup of which is breathtaking. Why be forced to purchase accessories you may not want at a price far beyond what can be found pretty much anywhere else? There are other dealers who are a great deal more honest and ethical. Shop them! As to the comments below, the owner of the dealership wants us to believe that by forcing an accessories package, at an inflated price, down the throats of his customers he is somehow providing them with an "added value package" that should be optional. Don't take my word for it folks --- do a search on "dealer add-ons" and read what Edmunds and others have to say about the practice. Two questions for the owner: 1. Don't you think it would be more ethical to recommend this package to your customers (at a reasonable price) than to require it? 2. Do your customers know this exact same package is readily available elsewhere at less than half what you are charging for it? In short, what you call an added value package is really an added profit scam. And finally, to your statement "We obviously missed "hearing" your objection to the added value package on your new vehicle" I would ask what part of my comment "Well --- I do have a problem with grievously overpriced dealer add-on scams" your salesman had a problem understanding? read more
