We were in Ashland, Oregon when the Check Engine light came on in my car, and we needed to drive back to California. We just weren't sure we could get home safely. We called TC Chevrolet and spoke to Sean (not sure if I'm spelling his name right) in the service department, who told us he didn't have time to get us in for repairs, but that if we brought the car in he'd let us know why the Check Engine was on. Long story short, we got there and he came out, plugged in his diagnostic and told us it was related to actuators for the oil pressure, which was fine (and had just been changed, too.) He cleared the error and told us in his opinion, it was safe to drive the car back. It was running pretty well, but that annoying light had me worried.... until he explained everything to us. We got home safely. The light came on again on the way home, but the car ran fine. And then the light went out, and has stayed out. Car is Happy. I am Happy. :) I am grateful for his help and assurances that the car was okay to drive. He didn't charge us for his service (which took maybe 2 minutes, but dealerships, we all know, do like to charge for services rendered). We have always been a Toyota/Subaru family, but were committed to buying local and American made this time around. New to the Rogue Valley and Ashland we looked to TC Chevrolet and found we needed look no further. TC Chevrolet provided the best car buying experience we have ever had! Jerry, Ralph, and Stephanie all worked very hard to be certain we got exactly what we wanted. We decided on the wonderful Chevy Cruz! What a fun, well appointed, and efficient vehicle. We were pleased to find such a value priced car with so many features. The backup camera is a real bonus, and the navigator, OnStar, and XM Radio really round out the whole package. The exterior and interior styling elements are exquisite! We are proud to have such great looking vehicle. This was the worst experience I've ever had in a car dealership. We made the mistake of inquiring about a used car they were advertising but had no listed price, and they kept assuring us they would give us a good deal on it. They also talked us into coming into their dealership, that it would just take a few minutes, since we had an appointment in an hour. Not only did they not give us a good deal, they held us down for interminable hours, even though we didn't need financing for the sale. Needless to say, we missed out appointment. As we were trying to extricate ourselves from them, the woman processing us was trying to sell us extended warranties and surface treatments. When we didn't bite on any of the crap add-ons, she gave us what she said was the paperwork to get the car registered. It wasn't. It might have sufficed if we were stopped and wanted to prove that we hadn't stolen the car. I took a half day off to get the car registered at DMV, only to learn that the title wasn't even there--they didn't tell us that they were holding the title hostage for ten days because we paid for the car by check. If they'd told us they were going to do that, we would have paid by credit card. Buried in the paperwork was a notice that they would mail us the title after 10 days. Well, they had the check cashed almost immediately, and still took over 16 days to get the title to us. Not only that--they incorrectly filled out the paperwork, only listing my spouse as the buyer of the car and not me, so I can't take it in to register it because there's nothing in the paperwork that indicates that I also bought the car. We have contacted the dealership and the salesman repeatedly to make this right, but they couldn't care less now that they have the money. They suggest solutions that will cost us yet more money rather than taking responsibility for the mess they created. We will never do business with this dealership again, and we will discourage others from doing so as well. read more

I wrote to TC Chevy asking about their Chevy SS since they did not post a price for the car on their website. Most dealers will be upfront and post the price. They replied and had a $5K markup on the vehicle. I told the salesperson that I was a very serious buyer and here is what he wrote back: "I understand fully, and under normal circumstances, we would be a little more competitive in regards to our pricing structure. In the case of this particular Chevy SS, we ordered specifically for one of our owners and he is planning on just keeping it. Thanks again for considering us and please keep us in mind in the future." If the car isn't actually for sale, why did you give me an inflated price for the vehicle at all? Smells like poor and dishonest practices to me. Definitely won't be purchasing anything from them here. Wonder what else they lie about. read more

A very honest and full service dealership. Although they could not get me the vehicle I was looking for, they did not try to sell me something I didn't want. They searched for me and tried to get the car I was looking for but the other dealership would not budge. They were very informative and helped me locate it. They saved me a whole bunch of time when other dealership would not help me. I would definitely recommend this dealership as they are honest and puts customers' needs first. read more

Went in to get my oil changed at TC Chevy, for the first time, and I mentioned I'd be taking a trip the next day. I got a phone call after a little time passed and I was told that my front brake pads needed to be changed IMMEDIATELY and that I couldn't drive on brakes this shot. I trusted their judgement but didn't want to pay $220 to get my pads changed when the parts store near me had quality pads for $40. Since I believed that they wouldn't make this up, I went on my lunch break to get the pads to change them when I got home from work that night (at midnight). Keep in mind I had to leave for my trip at 6am that morning. I was not very happy to realize that these pads still had some life in them. Neither the driver or the passenger side was even down to the indicator. It was especially odd since I had taken the same car to Chevy near the airport three months prior and they didn't even mention the brakes being close to shot. Were they getting worn down? Sure. Was it an emergency like the service rep claimed? Not even close. They actually had enough life in them for me to not change the pads before our trip at all. In times like these, I cannot believe that this service department found it necessary to exaggerate and attempt to take advantage of other Southern Oregon essential workers. read more

We were driving through the state and my Diesel Silverado broke down. Service Advisor Jarren was fantastic working with my extended warranty company. TC knew I was from out of town and would probably never be a repeat customer but Jarren worked hard to get my warranty work approved (the ext. warranty company was difficult to work with). TC gave us a loaner car for several days so we could continue our vacation and they got the work done quickly and did a good job. Also, TC knew we were kind of stuck with them as the tow truck dropped our vehicle off there. They could have taken advantage of that and jacked up the cost of the repair. I called around and their cost was not inflated. read more
