Happy Hour is where it's at, especially on Mondays. Drinks are cheap during happy hour! They open at 2:00 p.m. during the week and at 12:00 p.m. on Saturdays. The space is quite big which made it super easy for us to grab a table. We were seated in a section of the restaurant with a bunch of booths so it was nice to have a quieter space where we could catch up with our friend and have a nice meal. For my dish I went with the grilled cheese BLT (muenster cheese with bacon, tomato, arugula and lemon thyme vinaigrette grilled on sourdough) and fries and I quite liked it! Nothing fancy but it was good and and I would absolutely try it again. Currently rocking the sober life so I can't speak to their beer line up personally but the menu did look quite robust! And as someone not drinking I must also recommend their root beer. Great casual spot perfect for a bite, a hang, or all of the above when hanging out around town.

We attempted to order beer and struck out five times before they actually had one on their menu in stock. The waitress was not aware of what they did and didn't have so just kept coming back five times to tell us sorry that one was out. Literally ended up ordering a corona on draft. That's not exactly what I was going for at a place that prides themselves on a large amount of beer on tap.

My girls enjoyed their salads and the nacho appetizer was devoured in five minutes flat. The best experience of our evening at Blind Pig Tavern was Mattie, our server. Not only was she friendly and engaging, but she has earned the title of the "Best Athens, Georgia Ambassador... Ever!" Her knowledge about the town she's grown up in and advocacy for attractions on and off the UGA campus was more than appreciated. Her livelihood and pride of her hometown and customer engagement has easily earned her this official/unofficial title!
