A great hole-in-the-wall operation. The sandwiches are fantastic and I love that they serve ice cream from Young's Dairy.

A small little treasure in downtown Waynesville. It's small and cozy. The inside is on the small side with 6 tables, a bathroom, and the parking is street parking. They have some of the best hand dipped Young's Jersey dairy ice cream with 12 different flavors to choose from. Plenty of sandwiches, salads, amd 2 soups to pick from For 13.00 I got 1/2 of The amazing grilled Cheese $6.99 White America, cheddar, Swiss, cream cheese, and a herb spread. It was really good but next time I will ask for no cream cheese. Bowl of chicken noodles soup $3.50 Full of flavor 22 ounce of diet Coke The sandwich came with rather a fruit cup (tropical fruit prepackaged) or kettle chips and a small delicious sweet bite size muffin If you are shopping downtown and want a great little lunch spot definitely stop in.

Wife wanted to go here. I was in the mood for an Italian sandwich. So drive over with high hopes for this cute little eatery in downtown Waynesville. We get there, nice lady interacts with us and we decide on the famous grilled cheese and I get the Italian with a side cup of tomato bisque. We find a table, sit and wait for our food. I get anxious, get up and start wandering around. I find all sorts of old school items all over the place which is quite a blast from the past. So food arrives and I'm a little apprehensive as the grill or hot plate was obviously not hot enough to make grilled anything and left a kind of off putting gray smear all over the bread? So we ate around those parts or just peeled them away to eat. I've no clue why they'd put these on a plate for customers. They really should have just either remade them or give us options on what to do. Will we ever go back? Who knows, maybe we just came on a bad day as there are a ton of 5 star reviews with folks raving about it. Oh! They have ice cream!! :)

Stopped here with my first after receiving a gift card. I had never been before. The location is on a busy Waynesville street, nestled between some quaint little antique shoppes. When we went in, we grabbed menus and sat down to decide what we wanted. The place is known for panini's so that's what my eye was looking for! When placing your order, you head to the register. While waiting to order, we noticed there are some yummy looking desserts as well as Young's Jersey Dairy ice cream! There is also a pop cooler with 20 oz. Coke products. My oldest decided on a full-size 6-cheese grilled cheese sandwich and fruit. My youngest decided to share a panini with me so she could also order Mac and cheese from the kids menu. I ordered a full-size Turkey panini with chips. We all got soft drinks-coke products. We went to sit down to wait for our food and just took in the atmosphere. There are antiques everywhere-hanging on the wall, leaning against the tables. The place is small but comfortable! We got there at a good time because the restaurant got busy while we were waiting. The food arrived within 10 minutes. Everything was warm, fresh and delicious. Each meal came with a small muffin. We didn't know the exact flavor of them but nevertheless, they were tasty. The only reason for a 4-star review is that my daughter's panini was a little burnt. She liked it but said it could've been better. We got free refills before we left. The ladies behind the register were kind, albeit busy. There is an upstairs to the place, possibly with more seating. We didn't go up so not sure. I would definitely check this place out if you're in the area. We were too full to get dessert but I'm glad we can get Young's without driving to Springfield!

When I saw a new restaurant coming to town, I was so excited. Plus, not only was I excited to see that a new place was opening, I was more excited to see that it was a family-owned place that wasn't serving pizza, bar food or overpriced burgers and fries. The thought of getting a healthy salad, a healthy soup, simple sandwich, or even a simple slice of avocado toast - was just overboard. The establishment was trying to open up during the Sauerkraut Festival weekend, but they just didn't make it on time. So, we waited. I drove past every day on my way home from work watching the progress. Finally, the day came - their door was open and the sidewalk was decorated with a new welcoming sign with the daily specials. I was in. I went home and gathered up the hubby and we walked down the street or a new supper experience. We were not disappointed. The decor reminds me of another restaurant in town - The Village - so I was hoping it wasn't going to be the same old, same old. I ordered the pumpkin apple soup and salad. My husband had a ham and cheese panini with a chef salad. The pumpkin soup was so rich, smooth and full of flavor. I've had other pumpkin soups in the past, but they seemed watery, but this soup was amazing. I can still taste the mixture of flavors and am craving more. I hope it's going to be a favorite to the menu. Some would say that a salad is a salad, but there is a difference between a Wendy's or bagged salad and a fresh, crisp salad that is cut and made at the time of order - this was the later. The staff was exceptional, pleasant and ready to serve with an eagerness to showcase their new menu. It was rather refreshing and nice to know that you are a part of someone's dream of opening a restaurant in a quaint little village, I call home. The best part of this establishment is that people that live in or near Waynesville have to drive a long way to visit Young's Dairy Farm to enjoy their delicious ice cream. But, now we can get it right here. They serve most favorite flavors! I can't wait until the ice cream cravings begin. This is one establishment that I look forward to revisiting week after week for years to come.

I came here for lunch with the family on a Monday around 2. It was busy, but we were able to get the last table for 4. I ordered the Montecristo Panini. It was tasty. It was a little healthier than a traditional Montecristo because it was not breaded and fried. It was basically a sandwich with turkey, ham, cheese, and strawberry jam. Someone in our group ordered a chocolate malt. He said it was good, but it could've used a little more malt. Napkins and utensils are stored at a station for self service. Lunch was served on yesterday paper plate. They do have ice cream, but the flavors seem to be the typical, nothing special. The decor is cute and vintagesque. To sum it up, I would come back if I was in the area.

Italian panini with kettle cooked chips (couldn't resist a few bites).

This is a great little lunch spot. There were two women working busting their butts for all the customers and it was worth the visit.

Taylor's is a wonderful addition to the village. We popped in before a photo shoot we had scheduled to grab something warm while this Texas girl battled the frigid freezing temps. (Okay it was in the 30's this day but COME ON THIS IS COLD.) I enjoyed the large selection of drinks, but I opted for a hot chocolate. I know the shop is small- an indoor seating area would have been so nice on this very cold day. The employees weren't overly chatty, in fact I'm not sure they said much to us. I asked a couple of questions about their sugar free flavor options and they were answered. I don't expect to make my next best friend while ordering coffee but a little warmth goes a long way. Our photographer had scoped out the dome behind the shop and mentioned that those usually have a heater in them. We wandered back there and it was a super cute set up with blankets and pillows. The heater was there but I couldn't figure out how to get it on. The dome did help with the wind. Lovely coffee shop- glad Waynesville has one!

Good day fellow Yelpers!…read more This morning we were looking for an early lunch joint and the first place we stopped was packed so, we decided to stop at another place to try something new. First of all, walk in the back door, not the front. The outside area has a nice seating area but no shade, still good for a good weather day visit. Inside is old school, you can definitely tell as soon as you walk in, it's hasn't been updated in a LONG time but honestly it's kinda cool to see it in what was probably pretty close to how it originally looked. Walk around the counter to place your order with the menu clearly displayed on the wall. The chef is a one man show and cooked to order. He was friendly and attentive despite being alone. On to the food... Finally a place that salts fries properly without needing more. It's the little things for me I normally have to ask for salt every where but they were piping hot and salty!! I ate the smothered chicken sandwich. Fresh slice of tomato, well seasoned roaster bell peppers were the highlight. I felt it lacked seasoning but maybe I'm too much of a sodium junky. The red aioli seemed too thin but that could have been due to the juicy tomato. Bacon Cheeseburger was fresh and the toasted italian was good. Burger of course was sliding off the bread every time a bite was taken. This is a solid place to try. I'm secretly wishing we would have gotten breakfast but that we'll do next time.
