When I was looking for a storage unit I wanted something air conditioned because it was summer and I thought it mattered (reality is it probably doesn't, but it was important to me!) I drove all over Temecula to get pricing and find a place that offered air. Butterfield storage blew me away from the beginning because of how clean the facility is. I was bummed to hear that air conditioning was only upstairs on the size I needed but they had the best prices in town and the best facility by far. I took the upstairs unit and surprisingly it wasn't a hassle at all! I just recently moved and took my stuff out of storage- but I would definitely go back if I needed storage again and will recommend the facility to anyone in need of a storage unit! Clean, safe, easy to get in, out, and throughout with ease, efficiency and space to maneuver your vehicles and items to be stored. Everything was handled quickly, and with incredible professionalism, yet the warmest of authentic friendliness I ever remember experiencing. I had a few very huge and very unexpected challenges that arose due to the unethical tactics and behavior of my past landlady and her family. Yet Mark, Angela and Christian were there to listen, to assist, to make sound recommendations about the least expensive, most convenient ways to handle the various challenges. We stored an RV here for a few months, which we didn't find to be convenient, mostly because of the hours and the fact that they are closed on holidays. We wanted to get in and out on holidays, so we moved the rig. They aren't really set up for RV's IMHO. We had our household goods stored here for over a year without incident. The office staff are great, the very nicest. Beyond the holiday closures (they don't just close the office, they prevent ANY access to your stuff on these days folks!) we would return. read more

Pros: The facility is clean. And the availability of carts is a nice touch. Cons: The price has gone up every year for 3 years. And I take exception to calling a 23% increase a 'modest' increase in rent. Modest is like 5%. The hours and closed holidays can be a problem. A normal work day leaves very little time to get in and out of the gate hours. And turns out, I have time to get to storage on Holiday weekends... But the facility is closed on Holidays. Which I do applaud for the employees, but creates an access issue. I have not had to interact with the staff much. They seem nice. Signing up was easy. Paying on the Website is easy. If you have to use storage, have an exit strategy for when the rent begins to out price the value of the contents. read more

ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY DO NOT USE THIS lSTORAGE FACILITY!!!!!!!!!! AFTER 18 PLUS MONTHS OF USING IT. I get absolutely no respect after their crappy online payment system wouldnt take my valid credit card that I use every month to pay my rental fees. I walk in less than 24 hours later, and they tell me, now you to pay another 230 dollars to access to storage unit. You mean to tell me that after 18 months of paying rent. They couldnt, say "Hey sorry sir. We will accept your payment, as if it was yesterday. Because it wasnt your fault. Because you in go faith attempted to pay. Which our records show." That is what customer service should have showed like. But heck no. Pay, pay, pay, thats all they understand. Never, Never, again. Id pay more to go somewhere else in the future. They did not respect my patronage. And, that is a killer for me. I worked hard for my retirement and they have no respect or honor for their customers. So today I get a call from the area assassin, Melissa. Who gives you the nice soft shoe approach. She was very apologetic, until she confirmed that I taking my self outta that crappy place. So now no more Mrs Nice Guy. No benefits no forgiveness. After so so money, I get you were two days late crap. Seriously? Id rather leave my stuff on the street in the rain than deal with those people again. Again, ANY WHERE BUT THERE. NO RESPECT AT ALL!!!!!!!!! So I received a comment from this guy trying to save his reputation at this dump. So on March 27th I get a email from the office for an invoice for the month of April. I GAVE THEM A NOTICE TO BE DONE WITH THEM. And they still invoive me. Does anyone know what the other person is doing there? I have one box left in there that will be removed on Friday. I have been storing my boat here for the past few years, everything been going well until someone broke in to my boat. I have been asking the previous manager Mr. Richard and the new manager Mr. Mark to provide security cameras and lights for my boat for the past few years and I was told they will looking to it but they "NEVER" did! Finally, after the break-in to my boat and me losing parts and personal things and fishing equipment and heavy body damages to my boat, now they installed the new lights. After hearing over and over nothing Mr. Mark can do, I contacted the storage supervisor "Dree Gonzales" and she was keep telling me that she will call me back...BUT she "NEVER" did and her strategy was to give me the run around and hope I will give up and go away!!! Now I have gone by TWO managers at this place and been getting nothing but being ignored... What happened to good all customer comes 1st and customer service is our goal? It seems like they would like to collect rent and don't care about people's property getting stolen or damaged. I am very frustrated and disappointed by the response from the managers of this place in regards to providing protection for my boat. So, I called their area supervisor who apparently manages few of these "Self Storage" in Temecula and San Diego, CA. Moreover, after getting a hold of Mr. Craig Heavilin AKA the BOSS... I explained my experience and ask him for help and protection for installing lights and cameras and if they can cover part the damages to my personal fishing equipment's... "YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE WHAT HE SAID TO ME ON THE PHONE... SIR, IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT... WHY DON'T YOU MOVE OUT"!!!! WOW!!! To top it all, they raised my rent from $140.00 a month to $163.00 because someone broke in to my boat under their supervision after I have been asking for cameras and lights!!! I researched a lot of storage facilities. In my opinion, this one has the highest quality of facilities and service than any of its competitors in the Temecula area. Many of the other storage facilities lacked enthusiasm and care in showing me a potential unit. I was also unimpressed with those facilities. Butterfield Ranch impressed me. The facility is clean, has outstanding security systems, nice storage units, and outstanding service. All of the service staff are friendly and enthusiastic at all times before and after the sale. Damien and the lady in the office are amazing. I enjoy interacting with them. The little things matter, such as them remembering your name weeks after initially interacting with them. The facility is a little more expensive than others, but as the adage goes, you get what you pay for. read more
