It's also pretty apparent that they are living in this space. There is a temp shower set up in the bathroom. With a loofa and body soap. The second time I used the restroom, there was water all on the floor because of it. I understand times are challenging, just giving you my full review. Again, the quality was great! I had called 30 minutes before arriving as this was a last minutes plan for myself on the drive home. Thought I'd stop in for an hour massage. The lady on the phone said I could come in as they accept walk ins. Upon arriving, I paid my dues, $60 for an hour massage plus a $2 card fee. My masseuse in the beginning was a male. He asked me the kind of pressure I'd like and I chose soft. I am not sure at what point him and the lady switched however, I immediately felt the difference in pressure. She was really rough and rushed through my massage. Twice I asked her to go soft as she was hurting me and at this point I no longer could enjoy my massage. No response. I didn't know they had switched until she announced she'd be back, just grabbing a towel. My first time experiencing a head massage and had it been delicate, I think I would've enjoyed it. Unfortunately, she was rough on my head as well. At the end of my time, she very loudly told me we were finished. No relaxation with this massage. When walking out, she comes to the counter and asks if the receipt she had was mine. I told her yes. She then tells me I wrote $0 for the tip and if I wanted to pay tip with cash. First, I'm not tipping on a service I did not receive yet and second, I was not happy with my massage. She then hassled me and asked if I liked my massage and why I wouldn't tip. Had I stayed with the same masseuse, I would've loved it. $60 for 60 minutes is a great deal! I'd say if you were to come here, speak up for yourself so that you may enjoy your time. New ownership! Lee, the former massage therapist is no…read morelonger there. This was the girl that made things happen on my back and gave an excellent massage. There is an upcharge when you use your Visa now and they no longer honor their "Get 5 or 10 massages and get one free" because of the new ownership. The change is not for the better in my opinion and odd in a number of ways. One example of this is that I was asked to take all of my clothes off, after that I was covered with a large towel and for about twenty minutes or so I was massaged through this towel, just using pressure. Usually when I get a whole body massage this does not work that way. When I asked Maggie, the masseuse if she was going to take off the towel and use lotion she said yes, continued on with what she was doing. She also got on my back with her knees but she is bigger than Lee, so all that happened was that I was mushed into the table. Lucky for me that did not last long. Then, without any warning she snatched the towel off me and started to apply lotion. This is the first time I rolled my eyes during a massage, ever. She got a lot of my hurty spots, missed others because she almost totally focused on my back, did not do my feet , legs, arms and hands with the exception of a few seconds. It appears that this person has not been trained properly in doing massage. I guess any massage is better than no massage, but I was not exactly thrilled with this experience. Back to Miya I go.....it is still the most reliable massage for me.
