The whole experience was unique from ordering directly on a tablet at the table to having a little robot deliver the food when it was ready. The food was excellent, and the staff was incredibly friendly and happy to help with anything we needed. We walked in and I was a on a little bit of a time crunch and needed to be in and out within an hour. We were sat down very promptly by the hostess and we ordered our items immediately off of the tablet. We had 2 iced coffees and 2 eggs Benedict. We loved that they had medley potatoes!! Well, let's forget about the fact that you have to order on a tablet that will time out if you're not fast enough. And let's also forget that since you're ordering on a tablet, you can't ask any questions of the server who wasn't there. Had to wait about 25 minutes to get our coffee because it was on the order that we sent so it all comes at the same time with the food. And if you're there long enough, and they're busy enough, you will hear the theme music from the Jetsons over and over and over. But let's forget about that. Let's concentrate on the food. The order of scrambled eggs with bacon and pancakes was half good. The eggs and bacon part were fine. The order of the build your own skillet with the side of pancakes was not so good. Let's start with the pancakes on both orders. Do you know what it's like when you get a pancake and cut into it and it's oozing out the pancake batter? Well, we experienced that today. My friend didn't say much, but I just gave mine back and said just give this to the cook. They did ask if they could make them over for me and I said please don't bother. As far as my skillet, which had beautiful scrambled eggs on top and really nice potatoes on the bottom, I had turkey sausage pieces that were pretty overdone and dry, mushrooms that also had no moisture at all and a small amount of cheddar cheese. It was very dry so I added ketchup and hot sauce to try to moisten it up a little bit, but it was pretty unsuccessful. They may like the idea of having a robot bring the food to the table and you place an order on a Tablet without any server there to answer any questions or to try to upsell you on something else, but I think it's just a ridiculous idea. Yes I am an older guy, but I'm fine with technology. Have some talking AI take the order and you can ask it questions and then you have something. This just doesn't work. And with five servers wandering around the floor, I think if they put Rosie the robot back into space and actually came to the tables and serve the customers, it may be better all around for everybody. read more

Buttermilk Eatery is a family favorite -- the kids affectionately call it "the robot place," which already tells you how fun the experience is. We love the concept, and the food is consistently top notch. It's a little on the pricier side, but absolutely worth it for the quality. The kids are obsessed with the Mouse Pancakes, and I can't get enough of the corned beef hash two-egg breakfast. The Lavazza espresso drinks are also solid and make it an easy win for both kids and adults. Great food, fun atmosphere, and a spot we'll keep coming back to. read more

This was without a doubt one of the most disappointing dining experiences I have ever had. Based on their menu online, you get the impression that they're going to be something like a Village Inn or Dennys. HA HA! The joke is on you! The first thing that caught my eye when I walked in the door is a robotic device carrying food. Cute. A server took us to our table and very quickly explained that we would be ordering from the tablet mounted to wall in our booth. She pointed to an emblem with a QR code and a number on the surface of our table, telling us that we will need to enter the number at the end of the order. Since we do not have physical menus, we must scroll through the options on the tablet. We are both tech savvy, but this is not a conducive way for two people, let alone a party of four to order a meal as we both had to take turns placing our order. If you pause to discuss your menu options with someone in your party, it times out and you have to start over! Although it gives you a warning that it will be timing out, that means someone must always have their eyes on the tablet. When a server eventually brought us some water, we explained our displeasure, and they brought us physical menus. While we reviewed the menu, we ordered our decaf coffees using the tablet, then proceeded with a new order for our food using the tablet. I was going to order a hamburger, but there was no way to indicate how I wanted it cooked. When I finally got the server attention, I was told that they only cook it one way. ARGH! Frustrated, I looked for the least expensive item on the menu, ordering two eggs over easy. My wife ordered a chicken sandwich. To complete our order, we had to pay and TIP in advance. At this point I realized that the servers were doing very little serving, so my tip reflected that. Eventually our food came on the little robotic device which was playing the theme song from "The Jetsons". When it arrived, it announced that our food was here (Duh!) and wait for our server to put the food on our table. When she showed up, we asked for more coffee. Apparently, this did not fit their model, as it took them quite a while to bring it. When she brought it, I asked if it was decaf. She looked at me like I had two heads. I said that is what we ordered, which she would have known if she was being a server. By the time we got our decaf coffee, we were done with our meal. Thanks for nothing. I was really disappointed with my experience at this breakfast restaurant. While the food itself had potential, the overall atmosphere felt very unwelcoming and uncomfortable. The staff's behavior and the environment gave off vibes that did not feel inclusive or respectful to all customers. On top of that, I had a pickup order that was due at 9:22 AM, and I did not receive it until 9:45 AM, without so much as an apology for the delay. To make matters worse, the food was already warm by the time I got it. Customer service should make everyone feel valued and respected, regardless of who they are. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving both customer service and the overall environment for future guests. read more

We were in town visiting family and wanted to have breakfast. The decor is nice and comfortable and there was a line. We were seated within about 10 minutes which was great. Personally I'm not a fan of the tablet ordering system. It takes away from the experience and interaction. Food was good but nothing to write home about. Cool hip concept, lovely looking plates, very expensive and why was the tablet to order on grimy?? Why no outside water bottles? The tablet ordering wasn't good. My partner wanted to order something without peppers and onions but there was no option to take off peppers and onions. The staff were not around so he gave up and ordered something else to avoid sitting and waiting to flag a server down. The tablet had a grimy texture and I was one of the first customers of the day and there was no hand sanitizer or anything to clean your hands with. Not a big deal for someplace like McDonald's but I have higher standards when the price is so steep. I was immediately and uncomfortably told my outside Yeti of water can't be in the resturant. Per the server (and I presume owner?) someone brought alcohol in once and it was a huge issue so now there's a strict no outside food or drink policy. It's a 64oz jug of water... I put it on the bench next to me and put my bag over it and she was satisfied with that. She made a comment "I get yelled at all the time for bringing my water places." Well, it has never been a problem anywhere I've gone. I drink a lot of water and don't expect waiters to constantly fill glasses for me, so I bring my jug. Spoiler alert: I was really thirsty and we had to raise our hands and flag the server down like 5th graders to fill my water Cup. Came on a recommendation from a coworker. I overheard a couple needing help ordering so the waitress had to lean across the booth to input the order into the tablet so they can't take hand written orders even if they wanted to. The food was just okay. The potatoes were a little medley of purple, sweet, and classic starchy ones. The toast was thick cut. Sausage had very mild spices to it. The skillet had thick cheese shreds which made a nice creamy bite but the potatoes should've been crispier since skillets have so much food on top of itself. I honestly couldn't finish my food. There was just something about the food that didn't bring joy to the stomach. I had high expectations for this place. We were given one water per person and no more, the server didn't come back, we tried ordering another water on the computer, but n ope, no water The food is delivered by a robotic thing on wheels that plays Jetsons music...kitschy... another employee followed it over and put our food on the table So they've eliminated much of the human interaction that would have made this more enjoyable and less like being at home getting my own food... The food itself was only OK... the chicken and waffles did not look like the photo on the computer screen and more like the small chicken fingers, the chicken had a nice seasoning, but seemed prepackaged... the eagle was just atad under cooked, but still edible The fruit bowl with strawberries and blueberries was fresh, but not sweet The pancake breakfast was the best thing ordered, the soft scrambled eggs were perfect and the pancake fluffy... the bacon was ordered well done and one step came that way, the other was less well done... This brand new breakfast spot far exceeded my expectations. Not only was the food yummy, the portions were substantial, service was excellent, and they have a fun greenery aesthetic going on. I love the tech that's integrated into the experience. What you see pictured was shared between me and another person and we still had a little bit left. Located conveniently in a strip mall on US Highway 19 north. The atmosphere is a little bit on the sterile side, but it's very warm and inviting with a full view of the kitchen. Staff were very helpful with ordering. Because we're old and tech challenged, they gave us the option of ordering on the tablet at our table or having the server take our order. We opted for the server. She was genuinely sweet, helpful and spot on with the service. The food is delivered to your table by a robot who is playing the Jetsons theme throughout her entire journey. This was my first time dining here - my husband had been here once before - on a busy Sunday morning. What a pleasant experience! This is definitely our new favorite breakfast spot. The food was delicious with fresh ingredients in the veggie omelette we shared, which was huge - we brought home leftovers. The hash browns were cooked perfectly and the sourdough toast, as well. Then there were the pancakes...yum! Even though they were quite busy, the staff members were pleasant & efficient and they looked nice in their teal t-shirts. It's a shame- I wanted it to be better..... 1) You order at your table- process is very cumbersome- and they want you to pay- AND leave a tip before you receive any service. 2) After waiting at least 10 minutes, had to finally ask for our water. 3) They bring your food out on a "robot". Cute idea. But not sure if necessary. And, they need to wait for a person to hand it to you (ours sat there for a little bit, not under a warmer, waiting for someone). 4). The pancakes were dry, not done in the middle, and not tasty. 5) The fancy syrup container takes FOREVER to get syrup to come out of. He had the coffee drip French toast pack (so good!) and I went with the pumpkin latte pancake stack loaded with banana + strawberry--10/10 delicious. Sunday morning, we decided to visit Buttermilk Eatery located in Pinellas Park. Based on their website, everything looked tempting to try. Father's Day is here, so i decided to call and make sure what are there times of operation. Phone was answered properly and my information requested, was answered. We arrived to the location, and noticed it's located in an open mall where parking is shared with other establishments. There were like 3-4 tables outside in case anyone wanted to enjoy their meal out there. From the outside it looked busy. I called to make sure if there was a waiting list, estimate time of wait. The female who responded was very respectful and said "I can put you on a list, but I don't have an estimate time due to your party being 7 and those booths have clients who are just ordering." I proceeded to walk in, asked, she mentioned if i had just called and I said yes. She added me to the list (she had paper and pen.) I proceeded to wait in the car due to the parking available in front; the establishment was kind of tight. Our wait was approximately 35-ish minutes. The restaurant's layout is kind of "tight". It was well decorated, clean tables, booth and stool seats. Kitchen was open visibly to see kitchen staff as well as servers who helped with the serving and with the food servings robot. We were sat down, we did fit a little snugged/tight but as a family we made it happen. We proceeded to order ourselves because nothing was said or asked. To order, there was a QR code plaque on the table with a number (your table number) as well as a touchscreen tablet to see the digital menu and to order as well. This can go two ways... it's new and improving and for some it's easy since now a days everyone is on their phones 24/7. But what happens with those who are not tech savvy and prefer to see a paper menu? Elderly example... You have to order everything at once, pay it in full and also give tip. Why should I make a final decision at the moment and close my bill and give my tip before even receiving my food? The service would be unknowing how our server would be. Yes, waiters are entitled to earn a tip but those who worked properly should be rewarded more than those who make the bare minimum. The employe who answered the phone, received me, added me on the list and had me sit at my table was Dalia. She started off nicely and quickly switched her attitude and service to a poor one. Resturant employees do not understand what their job entitles and how body language, facial expression and attitude is part of their etiquette and skills. This all began when we had ordered, juice, coffee, cappuccino and some refreshments (soda) by mistake, our tablet ordered 4 Starry Mists and not 4 Pepsis. It was an error that could be clarified with the "Can we switch them since they are the same price?". After that, she rolled her eyes, got upset because we received our order and still were missing drinks. We received them when some of our family members were basically halfway through their plate. This is the reason I would've preferred to give my tip at the end. My full appreciation goes to our 2nd and final waitress (she was a very delicate and beautiful redhead, Ms. Ari)! I will give the other location a try. Maybe swing by again on another day.
