Side of bacon, French toast, pancakes, Taylor ham sandwich
    Diane M.

This Jersey girl and her family give this 5 stars. My 80 year old husband had Taylor ham and cheese on a Kaiser roll and said he felt like he was back in NJ. My daughter had the French toast and I had the BEST short stack of pancakes which could have easily been shared with someone else. They were the most delicious pancakes I have had in Tampa bay! A very generous side of bacon and tomato juice was shared at table. The wait was over an hour on a Saturday but once we sat down they moved very quickly with our order so we would not be late for an appointment which was so considerate of the management and staff. They even gave us a complimentary blueberry muffin on the house for being so patient.

This place is super cute and has AMAZING breakfast food! It has a nice diner vibe, with cute decorations and a really nice ambiance. When we arrived we scanned a QR code to get on a waitlist, but the wait was only about 10-15 minutes which was not bad at all. Once seated, our service was great and our waitress was very friendly. The food came out pretty quickly and was very fresh. I ordered the beansie tostada and I'm so glad I did! It was a unique and delicious option, and their home fries are perfectly cooked and seasoned! The salsa it came with was also fresh and tasty. I definitely recommend and would come back to try more options!

My favorite place ever! Been here in St. Pete 3 years and never a disappointment. I work at a local hotel and I tell every guest if they want homemade scratch food. Go to Taylor Sam's. Restaurant is sweet and nicely designed. The service is impeccable. Miss Michelle. She was an original OG. You will not be disappointed. Now, I am here again ... pictures say a thousand words. Alexis was sweet. Great addition to Taylor Sam's

The drinks were exceptional, great way to start the day with outdoor seating and nice weather! Although everything tasted great at first, our order felt too heavy and greasy for brunch. Would love to try non-sandwich options next time!

Excellent breakfast here highlighted by Johnny on the spot service by the waiter. Really tasty mix of food here, really elevated the standard breakfast by just cooking it really well. Very comfy inside, overall a great experience.

This is a must for us when visiting St. Pete. The service has always been great. The seasonal menus are always fun to explore. The serving sizes are a little big but that is a good thing for my family. When dinning in we often order Togo food for later as well. The location is great with street parking available. They have indoor and sidewalk seating. It is always busy when we have gone but luckily the waiting has never been to long.

YUM, what a delicious breakfast spot! The staff was SO friendly- they even brought out an extra order of pancakes for us to box up because the ones they'd given us weren't "up to their standards" even though we hadn't thought twice about them or complained. I love that they are so intentional about the quality product they put out that they decided to do that. We all loved what we ordered. I got the eggs on 3rd (scrambled egg whites tossed w sautéed broccoli, tomato, parmesan cheese and basil pesto. garnished with 7 grain crisp over roasted cauliflower). It was light and delicious, complete perfect in my opinion! I also ordered a side of challah. It was a bit dry, but better with butter. In hindsight, I'd have gotten in toasted :) Even though I found it slightly dry as is, it was phenomenal in the French toast, which was ordered by 2 of the people at my table. Even the half order was a huge portion and it was GORGEOUS and so tasty. Even the coffee drinks were a huge hit; my friend ordered a seasonal drink and loved it! I'd 100% return to Taylor Sam's.

Great experience, prices a bit higher but food was good with large portions. Our coffee drinks could have been better. Great service the location itself looked a bit generic tho

Came here for some good breakfast on the weekend. Be prepared for a wait unless you come early! There was quite the line waiting when we arrived. While there is both indoor and outdoor seating, this place is on the smaller side, with a small kitchen as well. I did enjoy that they have a lot of options in terms of brunch. I ended up ordering a fresh orange juice, which is available by request. The omelette I ordered was not fully done on the inside. The scratch made biscuit I substituted for was rock hard and overcooked. I wouldn't have served that to anyone! The potatoes were probably my favorite item. Service could have been a bit more attentive. Won't be jumping to come back when in town.

My work catered Taylor Sam's and I was extremely impressed. The bacon was salty and he perfect texture. The lettuce was fresh and and the tomatoes were soft and earthy. Getting it to-go was a seamless process, which really fits their friendly, casual vibe. Loved Taylor Sam's.

Great hole on the wall originally from nj. The staff was super helpful friendly and very quick with service. The restaurant was super clean and the food came out quick as I was in a rush. The unsweetened tea hit the spot. I am a tea snob and it was brewed to perfection no bitterness at all. I had the grilled chicken Cobb and it was delicious a huge portion, with very tasty chicken and crispy bacon and other great toppers on the salad along with homemade ranch dressing Will definitely be back Parking is on street Brunch is offered and looked amazing Credit card is taken Outside seating is available

The reviews for this breakfast spot in downtown St. Pete were glowing, so we were very excited to try it out! And unfortunately, while good - it was just fine and nothing over the top. I ordered one of their specialty coffees and the ingredient list mentioned steamed milk - but it arrived iced. Our waitress didn't ask my preference, although I did hear them ask the table next to us. For food, my husband grabbed an omelet, which he enjoyed. I tried one of the breakfast sandwiches which, again, was good - but it was a bit dry and I think needs some sort of sauce! Overall, it's a cute place that seems very popular, but it was just a fine experience for us.

Taylor Sam's is such a charming and inviting place for breakfast or brunch. My family and I came by on a Saturday morning and had a wonderful experience. We ordered the Potbelly Sandwich with home fries, Cowboy Boots, and two kid's cheeseburger meals. Everything tasted great and the portion sizes were more than enough for everyone. Our server was so kind and helpful the entire time even when we had a small mix-up. I can't wait to visit again and explore more of their menu items especially the unique coffee options!

    Any gluten free bread?

I was informed there is gluten free bread, but if you have Celiacs nothing can be prepared in their space/cooktop that would be free of gluten.

There's dedicated parking for the restaurant behind the building in the lot, plus metered street parking and garages within less than a block. The main entrance is on the side of the building, on 5th Street S just off 6th Avenue S. Outdoor seating is available, but I personally wouldn't choose it, sitting right next to a busy intersection with constant traffic and exhaust isn't my idea of enjoyable. That said, the interior ambiance alone is worth the visit. Inspired by the historic George Peabody Library and part of the Oxford Commons Hospitality group, the design is quirky, fun. The thoughtful mix of bookshelves, warm lighting, rich browns and deep blues, and the seamless blend of library, bar, and dining space creates a truly special atmosphere, especially if you love books. We visited as part of a large group for a special occasion dinner. They accommodated us on very short notice after our original plans changed due to possible rain and outside seating only at our first reservation, which was impressive. Our waitress was fantastic, she handled our entire table (and others) by herself with no buss person and still managed every order and individual request with genuine care and efficiency. I haven't tried breakfast, lunch, the morning coffee/pastry take-out window, or the bar yet, but the dinner experience was excellent. Fair warning: this is not a budget-friendly spot. If you're watching every dollar or might resent the food due to prices, it's probably not the place for you. It's ideal for special occasions or when you want to enjoy a meal without worrying about the cost, each dish/cocktail is in line with upscale dining in the area,it does add up quickly with drinks, apps, entrees, and sides, though I read they have happy hour. We ordered appetizers (shared), I also had the opportunity to sip a few cocktails (when offered), I also shared entrees, and sides with some of our group. Everything we tried was very good, there were not stand-outs, all was scrumptious, from the start of appetizers: the warm bread with its delicious butter spread, the roasted cauliflower, the spicy crispy shrimp, the Steak Frites, the perfectly cooked French fries, and the sautéed spinach, all of which I had a taste of personally. The portions looked modest on the plates but were surprisingly filling, many of us had leftovers to take home. We finished with the warm cookie and ice cream, which was hands-down amazing, especially with the perfect touch of flaky salt on top. The cocktails were strong and creative. My first choice (suggested by the waitress) wasn't quite to my taste, it was too tart and strong for me, but she immediately removed it from the bill and happily brought me something else I enjoyed much more. Overall, The Library delivers a memorable experience, amazing ambiance, a beautiful setting, attentive service, and excellent food. Next time I'm trying breakfast.

The restaurant is uniquely decorated with floor-to-ceiling books and those old-world aristocratic portraits that make you feel like you've stepped into a quaint literary hideaway. We were seated in a cozy corner with high-backed cushioned chairs that felt like our own little private nook. Perfect for a special occasion that's kind of low key. Even though the restaurant was quite busy, the noise level was surprisingly low, which we really appreciated. It made it easy to relax and enjoy our time without feeling overwhelmed. Service was also great - attentive, friendly, and well-paced despite the crowd. Now, the menu... it was honestly hard to choose because so many items sounded amazing. We ended up ordering the crispy Brussels Sprouts and the warmed Burrata to start. The Brussels Sprouts were flavorful and enjoyable, though I personally would have loved just a bit more char on them for that extra depth. The burrata, on the other hand, was packed with flavor - especially if you're a fan of sun-dried tomatoes, this is definitely a must-try. The drinks were a standout, my lychee martini was light, smooth, and refreshing, while my husband's old fashioned was bold and perfectly crafted. He is quite the stickler for a good old fashioned. For our mains, my husband kept it classic with a bacon cheeseburger and fries, which he really enjoyed. It had that delicious smash burger style that hits the spot. I ordered the Chicken Paillard, and it was absolutely delicious--light, fresh, and full of flavor without feeling heavy. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and agreed that we'd definitely come back. There were still so many dishes we were tempted to try, and that's always a great sign. The Library is a unique and memorable spot that's perfect for brunch, date nights, or any special occasion. Give it a try!
