We stumbled across First Watch one morning while visiting the area, and I'm so glad we decided to give it a try because we absolutely loved it. The thing that immediately caught my eye was seeing a drink made with Butterfly Pea Flower on the menu. My wife and I fell in love with butterfly pea drinks when we were in Thailand, but they're surprisingly hard to find in North America. Naturally, I had to order the Purple Haze, and it did not disappoint. It's sweet, slightly floral, incredibly refreshing, and just plain unique. It was also my dad's first time trying butterfly pea, and he really enjoyed it too. For breakfast, we both ordered the Barbacoa Breakfast Tacos, and they were phenomenal. Packed with flavour and exactly what we were craving that morning. The accompanying hash was excellent as well and rounded out the meal perfectly. The service was great, the food was fantastic, and the drinks were memorable. Honestly, this ended up being one of those unexpected finds that turns into a highlight of the trip. THE COFFEE GAVE THIS REVIEW THE STAR. The menu promises, the kitchen doesn't. This is my 3rd attempt to give this restaurant a second chance. Major fail. This time wait-service was bad, really, still we tipped 20 %. No attentive follow up, messed up omelet order putting it in, not sure. But not what I ordered not close but the number of Ingredients in everything I considered was overwhelming, first everything on the menu had too much stuff thrown in each entree, I guess it's their way of making 'signature dishes. You end up asking them to take out 6 of the 11 Ingredients thrown in you omelet. Food came out cold, side note: and after 2 cups, coffee, carafe empty. Someone, not our waiter, brought out the omelet - it was a crepe, very thin ( not 2 eggs ) cold to touch with a large heaping cold vinegrette salad, which I did not order, crowding the omelet off the plate WITH A SCOOP OF SOUR CREAM ON TOP OF THE OMELET. $15.00. $ + Ordered patty sausage, got two 2 1/2 inch link sausages on a separate dinner plate. Could put that unwanted dinner salad on THAT plate ! Still, no sign of waiter..ok. I use to lived in Sarasota, First Watch there was assume and was the family go to spot. What happened? Service -"C", Food - " F", Coffee - " B+". Don't follow the crowds to this one. There may honestly something good on the menu. As we left we passed a lot of tables where people had pushed their plates away and were finished, had a lot of half eaten food on them. Guess they could not find the right food either. Try your luck though. But 3 strikes is it for me. $60+ plus tip and we left hungry. Be better First Watch, be better. read more

The customer service was great, we had a 30 minute wait which was fine since they texted us when it was our time to be seated. It's a nice restaurant with seating indoors and outdoors. My Mom and her son met me at First Watch this morning at 10a.m. on 3/7 I came earlier to get a table.. Because, they were driving in from Tampa. They ended up coming after me and got a booth... I moved to the booth. I haven't seen both of them for a year.. She's leaving at the end of the month for home. It was WONDERFUL to see them both along with catching up. I had the BLT eggs benedict with potatoes. Which was good. I didn't realize the eggs were going to be poached. But, they ended up being pretty good.. Along with the whole meal. My Mom had eggs, sausage, toast, and grits.. She enjoyed her meal thoroughly... Her son had the special which was pictured on the second menu.. He said his meal was very good.. He and I had coffee. And my Mom had tea. This is the first time I've been to a First Watch in the last 15 or so years. I went to the original location across town. Unfortunately, I don't remember what I ate. I'm sure it was probably very good.. The ambiance was good even though the restaurant was packed. I like the fact I didn't really have to wait to be seated. So, that was a definite win-win. I love me a First Watch. My fav is the Ham & Gruyère melt with their breakfast potatoes. It's definitely better to dine-in here than take-out, but that's with most places. The sandwich is much crispier when you eat it *fresh* duh. I just tried this location recently, and it was a delivery so I can't speak to the service. Food was 9/10. Came here on a Saturday morning. It was busy and we waited approximately 20 minute for a table for 3. We were seated outside on the patio. The menu had several tasty options so it was hard to choose. I ordered the Elevated Egg Sandwich with seasoned potatoes. The first thing nice I have to say... This was the nicest First Watch I've ever been in. First Watch has been around for a long time. Most of these restaurants look like they've been around for a long time. This restaurant was very clean, stylish, and just new looking. They're famous for really big pancakes. If I remember correctly... The really big pancakes are pretty bland and kind of boring. Thankfully, today they had a special with pumpkin pancakes. There's only one word for this... Delicious. This was like eating pumpkin pie in pancake form. It was absolutely wonderful. They also had a special for some fancy bacon. It was six dollars for bacon. Sadly, they forgot to deliver the bacon and I never got it. So, I can't give this five out of five stars... But it's a solidfour. I've been to two different First watch restaurants. Parking was terribly difficult and in short supply at both. Once seated the service was great, the staff are nice friendly and efficient. It's definitely not a mom and pop type place. Not crazy about the ambiance, both places are loud had to yell to talk, it's high energy and require patience. Both places we had to get on a wait list for 30 mins to be seated. The food was good. I had eggs and pancake with soft bacon(it could have been a little softer) the eggs were perfectly soft scramble, pancake lite and fluffy. My friend had a pancake. I think the best part was the ice coffee we got. I don't remember the flavor but it was REALLY good. Sorry to say, because of the loud volume inside, the parking and the wait time this will not be my first choice for brunch with my friends. read more

Love this breakfast spot. Have come here several times and have yet to be disappointed. So many options for breakfast, and they're always adding seasonal items so never out of choices. Plenty of vegetarian items as well which is so convenient. I got the eggs Benedict one time and the chimichanga (chickichanga? Idk what they call it on the menu) the other time & both options were delicious!!! The chimichanga is obviously very filling so be prepared w an empty stomach. Very accommodating about dietary restrictions which was very kind. They also have some fun breakfast cocktails which have been delicious each time. Prices are affordable and service is excellent! Whenever I'm in town for business, I order from First Watch bc they're seemingly the only place nearby that has healthier breakfast options. I ordered an egg white omelette with mushrooms and asked to add avocado, spinach, and feta cheese. The food is delicious but man, they literally put 5 LEAVES of spinach and it wasn't even cooked into the omelette. They were just sitting on the side. I paid $2.28 for 5 f*cking leaves?? Same for the avocado I asked for. I didn't even get half an avocado...just two slices for again, $2.28. They also did not include the seasonal fruit as the side. Not sure if the cook was in a bad mood this morning but it was a total waste of my money. I'm ordering this again tomorrow so I'll be sure to update if it's just as bad, with pictures this time. read more

I'm a fan of First Watch and do find they are consistently above average on the visits I've enjoyed over several states. I used the call the app for the "Get in line" feature which never lets me down. Arrived on time to the table ready on a weekday. Since I was with a group of 5 teens and there was capacity I requested to sit at another table. The hostess was completely accommodate and so very sweet. According to the teens everything was great food wise and I know from timing it hit within 15 minutes. We shared the same waitress. I had the waffle and eggs with bacon. First time for the waffle and I do prefer their pancakes. Service was attentive to check up on meal and refill of coffee. Checkout is done at a central area like all First Watches. In my opinion a good value and strong service. The only drawback to this location is limited parking in the rear, but it's free. read more

One of those times when the service really brought down the entire experience. Came with 2 friends. Everything was normal until the food came out, the guy disappeared. We had to find another server because we didn't have silverware. Half way through the meal as all 3 of us are chewing and eating our food, he puts down the checks and gives the "no rush" line. It sure seems like you're rushing us when we're not even close to finishing and you put the checks down. We figure maybe he needs to leave so we handed him our card and he said no, the front cashier will cash us out. Okay, so why bring the checks out so soon? So then later, my 2 friends had finished, he took their plates. I had potatoes I was still eating. 3 separate times he came by and tried to take my plate and I politely said no I'm still working. Each time I declined, his face got more and more annoyed at me. I could feel him fuming. It was so bizarre. I finally just put a napkin on the plate out of annoyance of him, even though I wanted to eat more because it felt like a 4th decline would have ended the world. I also really hate that the tipping presets are 20% and up. It is really trying to guilt you into not tipping below 20%, even if the service wasn't absolutely amazing. There's almost no service that deserves 25% especially at a basic breakfast place. 20% is an excellent tip for excellent service. No need to tip more unless they really went out of their way to deliver a uniquely exceptional experience read more

Went here for breakfast on a Tuesday morning. The tables (about half a dozen) on their outdoor patio were all taken, so we just waited for one to open up. The staff were friendly and let us know right away when a table was available. Unfortunately, the patio is right beside a very busy road and you consistently hear a lot of loud traffic. Our server wasn't the friendliest, and after pouring us two coffees, she left us with a carafe that was empty. We told her we needed extra coffee and extra napkins, and had to keep reminding her. We asked for hot sauce and it didn't come out until we were almost finished our eggs. The omelette breakfast plates we ordered were made terribly. I ordered the Bacado signature omelette and it was lacking in the bacon department. The Works omelette was missing the sausage. They really didn't put any care into making them. Just reading the menu, it looked like all of their food menu entrees included a flavorful combination of ingredients that are both satisfying and healthy. We shared the Power Wrap, which is a delicious and nutritious option that combines cage-free egg whites, turkey, spinach, house-roasted Crimini mushrooms, and Mozzarella in a sun-dried tomato-basil tortilla.
