Their guy came and determined our home's layout would make installation of a "permanent" natural gas-powered generator, such as a Generac, impossible and a backup battery seemed cost-prohibitive. And so, I worked with them to decide on purchasing my own portable "tri-fuel" generator from COSTCO. And then Switch Electric came and, in one day, installed the appropriate connections to our natural gas line and electrical breaker box. He stayed until the generator was set up, connected, and the whole system tested. I'm MOST happy with having selected this company and MOST HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!

I was immediately surprised at just how much energy a solar array in Seattle could produce in winter. In 2021, after 3 summers in a row of wildfire smoke in Seattle, we made a decision to remove our chimneys and let go of the nostalgia of a wood fire. By removing two chimneys, we created space for 10 more panels, added an electric induction stove, a heat pump, and closed our account with the gas company. With net metering by Seattle City Light, various state and federal tax incentives, the entire installation has nearly paid for itself. What was different? The quote had attention to every detail and included higher quality materials, better design and superior workmanship. Also the quality of the service was exceptional- communication with the team and among the team was flawless. Our roof was mainly asphalt with a PVC section and needed plywood to be added on top of the old ship lap. It also needed venting - which can be tricky- especially providing intakes on a 1940s house. All this was included in the quote. They had no problem adding 2 skylights with no upcharge-save the cost of the skylights themselves. The team is up to date and educated on the latest advances and details of techniques. I am so thankful to have found Three Tree. I have worked with contractors extensively on two old properties over 20 years, and Three Tree was probably the best. Prior to hiring them I talked with my former roofer - who now only does very high end work(John Michael Roofing). He has seen many roofs and said Three Tree does good quality work. He also advised me to beware in hiring a roofer as there are many pitfalls. With that advice I proceeded with more caution than I would have otherwise!

They have now no showed twice in a row, without so much as a phone call. The first time our window was between 2-4 so I stayed home from work to accommodate. At 4:30 we called them and they said the technician called out sick and they've rescheduled us. They never contacted us to let us know. They also require you to be home when they come to visit, yet didn't contact us to tell us when the reschedule was. We found out when we called looking for our technician. Rescheduled appointment finally comes my husband confirms it the day before since we hadn't heard from them, and we get a 730-930 window. I again stay home from work to accommodate, and lo and behold no call no show. My husband contacted them again and got an auto response that our appointment was the following week. He requested a callback which they didn't do. The next day they texted him and said they had an emergency and rescheduled us. Again, never contacted us, no coordination on date and time. We love our Generac, but I do not recommend this company.
