However, I was met with a disappointing experience at Byers Volvo. Maybe the folks at Byers Volvo were having a bad day, but my wife and I didn't feel welcome. Service Review. I dropped off our 2010 Chrysler Town & Country on April 27th for a 8am service AND AS OF TODAY May 8th (12 days later) the van is still not fixed. I took it in for what sounded like seized up calipers on the right front. By 2pm that day they still did not know what was wrong with it. At 4pm they called back stating that 3 out of the 4 calipers needed replaced and a brake line. It should not take 8 hours to diagnosis these issues. I have Max Care so they understandably could not start fixing it until Max Care approved the claim which happened that Friday. One part was going to take 3-4 days to arrive. Fast forward 3 working days, the part had still not arrived. Day 4, still no part. Day 5, still no part. We were told that the part has been in Cleveland , but is not been placed on the delivery truck, but they have talked with the parts folks and the part was placed on the truck and will arrive on Monday 5/8/2023 ( at this point, my van has been with then for 12 days). I call again today (5/8/23) and still no part, the part is still in Cleveland. I was told I would be called back in 30 minutes with an explanation, 2 hours later, still no call back so I call again and was told that they will check into and get the part ordered. At some point all the parts came in except for the brake line and that is the part they are waiting on. When I asked about escalating this issue, I was instructed to call the 1-800 Chrysler number and file a complaint. They said that they can only email the parts place and that is all they can do, which is obviously not working. The Assistant Service Manager did return my call stating that they would do their best to get the van done tomorrow, if the part came in. I do not understand why they have had my van for 12 days and cannot get the part delivered, this is utterly ridiculous. I realize we have Max Care and these part costs and labor are under warranty but that does not mean you deliver poor customer service. Our next van will not come from Byers. read more

Absolutely disgusted. I contacted the dealership about a car I liked, got the info I needed and went to move forward with buying it. I completed the credit app and after two days of hearing nothing, I get a response from the dealer saying they "couldn't find a bank to finance that vehicle." I've never seen a dealer that offers financing, not get financing on a nice vehicle. I smell BS. Interesting enough, the car was gone a couple days later. They send all these emails asking to hear about how they can improve, yet they don't respond to one. The best part was when their customer service rep called me a week after all this to see if I wanted to schedule a test drive. Hahahahah, ok Eddie! My friends car was stolen from here. His ST8 challenger was stolen while being serviced. On 12-06-20. They stole a 2019 unmarked Ohio state highway patrol car and 8 others car. One including my friends. How do you loose a vehicle without any break ins. If you don't believe me look it up. It's extremely fishy that a unmarked police car was stolen and they haven't found it. Went to see a 2012 Civic LX. Priced at $11,529. Car clearly had some issues, only one key, no remote. paint chipping with rust on the front end, decent scratch in the side. Really scratched up dash. I was still interested in the car but in light of this I asked if they could do anything on the price. I was told no because the owner knows this will turn around quickly. My primary problem here isn't that the car wouldn't budge on the price, but that the salesman wasn't advocating for it. He didn't car and was happy to see me walk out the door. Best to give your hard earned money to a dealer that will respect you and take your concerns about a vehicle seriously. read more

The worst service ever. I had some service done on my truck where I paid over $1,000 for the repair. Within 2 years the same issue came up and so I brought it back to the dealership as it was now under warranty. They explained I need additional work on top of the warranty work. I told them I would only like to do the warranty work. They told me they understood and took my truck in for repair. 4 days later after no communication from the dealership I reached out for them to tell me they would not be covering it due to the additional work being needed done. Additional to that I picked up my truck without work being done and left a google review. Only to have the dealer comment on my review trying to pretend they found the additional work after taking the truck in for service. Even though they originally diagnosed it and told me they could just fix the warrantied work. They are low level respect for their customers is amazing they continue to stay in business. read more

I give it 2.5 out of 5 stars. The salesman Andy was polite. We purchased a used truck last July. Yes, it was an older truck but had little miles. So far in the less than a year and less then 10k miles we've had the truck I've had to replace the catalytic converters, o2 sensors, instrument clusters, and now the transmission is going and won't go in reverse. It's not necessarily their fault but I think when it was serviced before being sold it should've been looked over a little better and yes, I do know stuff about vehicles. read more

Their customer service was A1. Kris, who is new to the team, was fantastic and I have already spoken highly of him to friends and family. Terrible, unorganized, costly, time-consuming, and untrustworthy - this is how I would summarize my experience here. When I tell people my experience they think I'm joking because it sounds so unbelievable that a dealership could be this unprofessional. Here's my story: My 2014 Jeep's engine light came on, on a Tuesday. My Jeep is my job. I use it for daily commuting to my 9-5 and my side job when I do freelance deliveries, so a properly functioning vehicle is absolutely essential. With this in mind, I thought "a Jeep dealership is the best place to get service because they would have all the expertise", right? I called immediately to set up an appointment. The receptionist was nice, she transferred me to the service department. No answer. So, I waited an hour and called again. And again the next day. And again the next day. Successfully being transferred, but no one picked up. On the fourth day, I called and, to the receptionist, I said "listen, you keep transferring me, but I can't even leave a message because the service representative inbox was FULL". She told me she would take my name and vehicle down and leave a note. The weekend passed. Then Monday. This being a couple weeks after the reopening since the pandemic, I was understanding. I called back that Tuesday. An answer from a service rep! I made an appointment two days out on a Thursday. I tell them, I have a check-engine light, my hood latch seizes, I'd like to get an oil change, and tire rotation. Thursday morning, I drop my car off at the service deck, get introduced to my service rep, get told to await a call around lunchtime, and head off about my day. Noon. No call. 1pm. No call. 2, I call. They tell me they did the tire rotation, oil change, diagnostics. They found a gas tank pressure sensor malfunction, and a EVAC leak. Okay, cool. But then they say they can't find the leak and need to keep it another day. That's fine, I can find a ride, but everyday I don't do my side job of freelance delivering, I lose out on $50. But to get my car fixed properly, anything is worth it. Friday. Around lunchtime, I have to initiate the call, again. They tell me, they found the leak, they have to order parts. It won't get done today, but come Monday, it'll be done and out the door. They asked to keep my car, I said I'd rather pick up my car for the weekend, so I can use it for work, then bring it back Monday for the repairs. They agreed and I went there after work, paid for my services that were done, oil change, rotation, and diagnostic - around $285... great. Monday, I bring my car to the service deck again around 8:30am. I go to the service desk, my service rep isn't in yet, but the one that works behind him is. He checks me in, I leave my keys in the car like they said to, left the old service number card on the dash with the service bill from the last time with the "unrealized" repairs in the passenger seat and go to work. No call that day, but my service rep said it would be "in-and-out on Monday", so I showed up around 6pm to pick up my Jeep. No Jeep. For 30 minutes they're wandering around looking for my keys to move my Jeep to the parking lot. The service rep, not my original one, didn't recognize me in the same clothes 10 hours prior, or the 4 other times I showed up to pick up my car, nor did he have my name in his system for the day's repairs. They finally find my keys, drive my car to the parking lot and... guess what? They told me, "we didn't get to your car today because the parts never came in". Okay. So, I'm a super nice guy. I've worked in customer service for half my life. I understand working with a frustrated customer just makes the job harder. I was understanding and was willing to bring my car back the next day to get the repairs promised. No fuss. We even broke social distancing rules and knuckle touched. Hey, they ordered the parts. How much more could this suck? Tuesday, my service rep is there, I drop my car off. I get a call around lunchtime that my car has been fixed! .... except for the hood latch. Okay, so 2/3 (EVAC fixed, pressure sensor fixed) ain't bad??? After work I go pick up my car. Yay! My car is in the parking lot ready to go. I pay for the repairs, he hands me the keys. I walk out to the parking lot, I notice oil smudges all over my hood. Okay, whatever. I open my car door, and all the mechanic's plastic is on my seat and steering wheel still. Okay... whatever, I can clean my own car. Put the key in the ignition and... nothing. My car is DEAD. I bring Byer's a live car and they give me a dead one. Sweet. The service rep was nice enough to jump my car for me. He said "Oh, they must've left it in accessory mode while doing testing. Your drive home should charge it right back up". I'm not an idiot. When you drain a car battery completely dead, it damages the battery. But I obliged and took my damn car home. The next morning, it was dead again. Really had a great experience getting a new Jeep here. I had done my research ahead of time so I knew exactly what kind of Jeep I wanted and which features it had to have. My sales rep Gabe, who was awesome, was able to find the exact one I wanted. They offered a very fair, if not better price than any other dealerships in the area I had spoken to. After I signed the car and got home, I noticed a warning light. I called Gabe and he immediately got me in with the service department and a free rental vehicle so I didn't have to wait around. Marcus in the service department was great and explained everything in detail. It only took a few hours for them to fix the issue and have the Jeep back to me! I want to point out that sometimes, problems can happen with a new car. The key is how the dealership owns the problem and does everything in their power to make it right. If you can reference my review of Bob Caldwell... it may help understand this review. IF I COULD REVIEW THIS BUSINESS 15/10 STARS I WOULD! I originally went to Bob Caldwell for diagnosis. They gave me a 2k estimate. I went to a 3rd party shop to get one of the smaller things resolved and they advised me that the issue was completely electrical and that the part didn't need to be replaced. I was LIVID! I called around to Byers earlier in the week and set up an appointment to have the larger issues resolved since they were charging less. My car dies on Saturday so I had to have it towed there. When I explained what happened to the car, what was going on with it, the quote from BC and what my appointment was. The service adviser already KNEW it was electrical. Today was the day of my appointment and they called me to advise that it was an electrical issue and that it would likely resolve ALL of the issues presented with my car and if not they would call... Well... $645 later, I have my car back and no unnecessary repairs. God bless Byers for being honest and trustworthy! I am even thinking of purchasing a car from them as I want something smaller in the near future! They have created themselves a repeat customer! read more

Most people believe that coming to a dealer will break your pockets but I promise it is in the best interest of you and your vehicle that you take extra care of your ride. If you are looking for a auto dealer to service your car, this is the wrong place to go. I booked an appointment for "tune-up" what I get was bullshit. When I got there, a small girl attended to me, I was then transferred to someone else { a man}. I was hoping that all the fluids in my Jeep 2015 will be checked and refilled as part of "tune up" package. I was hoping that they will provide a value added service but I was wrong. They didn't do all that. They just helped me to change my temporary tag as requested and brought my car out. When I opened the engine compartment, the washer fluid was completely dry, other fluids not topped or gauged. They just collected my $161.24 I will strongly recommend vendors to check the engine compartment to see what things had been done before leaving the lot. Sales guy was clueless. The actual sale of the vehicle went pretty smoothly. The finance guy was super nice and got me in and out with minimal hassle on the paperwork. But when it came time for me to get in my vehicle, I was told by the sales manager that this young man would take me out to my car and show me how to use all of its features. He literally handed me my keys and told me and said "you can connect your iPhone to Bluetooth". Had zero clue about anything else. Told me he didn't know much about the newer models. I asked him how to remove the top and he told me to look it up on YouTube...... unbelievable. I've still got buttons in this car that I have zero clue what they do. I was looking for a car for a few months but wanted a certain color and options. I found a 2017 Dodge Challenger at Byers Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram that was a good match. Even though I was 3-states away, I was able to work with their Salesman David McDorman who provided me with clear photos of the car and addressed all my questions over the phone and video without even a test drive or visual. We addressed all the questions and closed the cash deal without any of the BS I had at other dealerships with extra fees and charges. It took a week to process the sale since the paperwork was sent overnight. It took another week to arrange a shipper to get the car home, but everything arrived in perfect condition as described. Other cars I found in Illinois or other states had body damage and priced up to $5K higher than my car for an older model. I was able to get a better price and a newer model with more options and the full Dodge Certified Warranty. It was been a week since I got the car and my friends and co-workers are all impressed at the perfect condition of the car and the ease it was to work with David McDorman at Byers Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram. I recently has an experience with my husband that left an unsavory feeling about this company. I received a probably routine feedback request from someone at Byers. Since they asked, I responded. Byers responded to my feedback & I think my feelings about the situation and Corey's disposition are reinforced. There's a way to manage a sale and work with people and treat people - people are people. To both my husband and I, Corey is not fit to be directly involved with people. This was a blessing in disguise because we ended up buying something brand new, at our target monthly price, with better terms vs, what Corey could offer/wanted to offer. Maybe it was mine & my husband's fault for stopping at a dealership in that part of town; Corey did say the area was a factor in his abilities, but he also expressed how he had no concern for what our needs and goals were. We feel badly for the nice young guy, Conner because if Corey had been willing to have the discussion about how to get closer to our goals, he could have sold a car. I'm including the email exchange for reference. I'd like to clarify Conner was in fact not able to handle the negotiation, so he did involve his boss, Corey, and Conner did not have the ability to make changes to anything, so it was what it was and it was unfortunate for them. I also would like to point out tin Corey's email response where he mentions a financing convo and text messaging recording. I don't understand the relevance because the issue was not specific to financing. It was all related to his approach to our attempt to discuss what our payment goals were, which Conner was already aware. I recommend to anyone considering Byers Chrysler to keep moving. When Mrs. Glenn did not hear what she wanted to hear from me she cut me off and said "That's enough" while Sales Associate Connor did not say a word. I'm unsure where the assumption of me shopping for Christmas came from because I did not mention anything about shopping during or after our conversation. I purchased a 2015 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution from this dealer. It was my first time visiting any Byers dealer and it was a great buying experience, the staff there was very friendly and while viewing the car I didnt fell pressured to buy it. The only thing that I didn't like was when finishing the buying process doing the financing papers because like every other dealer they always try to sell you that extended warranty which I didn't want because it goes into my financial plus the car was still under manufacturer warranty. Other than this everything else was great. This is a military friendly dealership and I would recommend you give them a visit if you're thinking about it. read more

I had a great experience buying my 2015 Grand Cherokee. It was when I needed service that dealership was a little disappointing My control panel for the heat quit working. I drove approx. 40 minutes in fridgid weather to have looked at. This was on a Wednesday. I was told I would have to make an appointment for Tuesday of the following week. Forty minutes back home with no heat. Looked issue up on internet and found a suggested solution. Remove fuse 49 for one minute then reinstall. Worked! We took the van in to have our U-Connect looked at 2 weeks after purchase and it was determined that we needed a new radio. That was almost 9 weeks ago. Here at Byer's salesman George Erdy hustled to find me coupons and rebates to lower the price. He listened to what I wanted and was patient in explaining the differences between 3 diff models of jeeps. Be wary of this dealership. I made an appointment to test drive a Dodge Charger with Grant S on a Wednesday and they sold the car out from under me the day before (Tuesday). Grant never bothered to call me to tell me that they had sold the car and to cancel the appointment. I show up for my appointment and he drops that little bombshell. He does find a similar Charger at an out of state dealership that they could arrange to bring in. That car was more expensive than the car that I wanted. I made an offer on that one and he wouldn't budge from their price. I declined and left. I expected to hear from him a few days later, but nope. Never did. I called him 5 days later to tell him that I was interested in the out of state car. He told me that he would call the other dealership to see if it was still available & have it sent here to Columbus for me and he would call me back. Again, I never heard from him. I even called him back later that afternoon and there was no answer on his direct line or no answer on the dealership's main line. So, Grant S cost his business about a $40k car sale.
