My burger tasted like it had been cooked earlier in the day and reheated. Not good. However the avocado and the sauce on the burger were very good. My husband's cheesesteak was extremely greasy, so much so that the grease soaked through the roll and caused it to fall apart. Floor was sticky. We will not return. read more

Found this little gem on Yelp while looking for something to satisfy everyone's craving. 10/10. Everything is made to order so be prepared for that. Great customer service. Hole in the wall vibes, small interior, but enough seating as people move in and out pretty quickly. Let me get back to the food. The food is nothing fancy but everything is absolutely delicious! Excellent burger that came out in a timely manner, very good patty to cheese ratio, and the patty's are hand made, a new salad bar addition looked interesting and good but did not try it, service was also good. I have an opinion of traditional deli and while this is not what I would consider a traditional deli, it does have the deli aspects and the food was good. Seems to be burgers and sandwiches and some fried foods, etc. They do have a refrigerated case of beer so that's a treat for some. I dealt with who I think is the owner and she was very helpful to me as I've never been here before. I ordered a club which I love a traditional club, but this was actually hot which she told me, I got to order how I wanted it and I must say it's very good. I also ordered just regular french fries. They are also very good. They have fountain drinks and I got to mix my sweet and non-sweet tea the way I wanted it so that was nice. The ambience is pleasant and the prices seem fair. So overall, it was a good experience. I would love to see a traditional, thin meat sliced, fatty, shredded lettuce, style deli sandwich on the menu, but for what it is as I said, it's good. read more

Service was good is about all I can say. Im not one to complain in store. Because I feel you shouldn't have to apologize for a poor kitchen. The burger was mediocre at best the tots were crispy but I feel the oil in fryers needs changed, tasted burnt and I found a hair short black and curled.... not mine. I have actually only ate here once, however my husband and his friends eat here all the time and love it! When I ate here I had the Rueben and it was really good! I liked that the meat was toasted/warm which some places are not, and wasn't so stacked high that you couldn't eat it, it was just the perfect portion, for me that is. I plan to try a burger next time! read more

Stopped by here and ordered take out. The cheeseburger was good, but nothing too special. The curly fries were great. The club sandwich could have been better if there weren't 2 really thick pieces of tomatoes. Seemed liked there were more tomatoes than meat on the club sandwich. read more

What great little burger joint. Ordered a cheeseburger with curly fries and a fountain drink. Took a little but because they were slammed with business. The wait? Was worth it. The BLT I had had plenty of bacon and it was good. I just can't give it a higher score because it's just not a deli. It has a good selection of sandwiches and burgers, but again it's not a deli There are both inside and outside seating. It's clean, and it has two large tv's. Be prepared to spend between $10 and $15 for your meal with fries and fountain drink I don't know; that seems like a lot for an ok lunch, but that's just me. read more

Under new management from those who had it for such a long time. Nice people, still clean. Some minor changes to the menu. Rueben sandwich was a train wreck and barely edible. We got our money back and an apology from management. Still ruins it because this was the #1 go to place for a Rueben sandwich in Columbia and now I'm afraid to try one again. Good burgers. Just not quite the same as before. The burgers under the old management were to die for. The new title for best burger in Columbia Tn now goes to Jumbo House and their Johnny Burger. I think people should give it a chance and I have not tried the whole menu yet but the old place will always be hard to beat. read more

I've been to this small little deli in Columbia, TN on two separate occasions throughout the course of two years. Both times, the burgers here were absolutely to die for. It's a cute little deli with plenty of seating, with a semi-gas station feel to it. An aisle for chips, cases of beer, or sodas to choose from. You order at the counter, greeted by a grouchy older lady who doesn't seem to like her job too much, but she takes your order anyways. The burgers, fries, onion rings, pickles, and banana peppers are mouth-water-ingly good. I will definitely go back next time I'm in TN! read more

It has been a while now since they moved from their location of over 40 years to Shady Brook. Overall the food and atmosphere are about the same and they certainly have one of the best burgers in town if not the best. Really nice people and good service whether you order carry out or eat in. Prices are also good. A large burger with cheese is under $8 so very reasonable. A varied menu with appetizers, sandwiches and salads. The one disappointment, a major disappointment is the Rueben. They used to have the best Rueben's in town bar none, possibly the best in all of Middle Tennessee and then with the new ownership they declined. Just bought a Reuben tonight and it was very disappointing. The corned beef which should be sliced real thin or shaved was thick and hard to chew. I have never had meat like that on a Reuben. It was terrible and I wished I asked for my money back. You can get a good burger in other places but this used to be the number one place for a Reuben and honestly it was almost not edible. One very minor complaint is with the chef salad which I order often. Theirs does not have hard boiled eggs which I consider almost essential on a chef salad. Their chicken and tuna salad is quite good. Their fries are very good. They have some nice specialty burgers. Love the fried mushrooms. 5 stars if it was not for the Reuben. Really seriously disappointed in that. This is the best place on this side of town for a burger. read more

Settled in next to a liquor store is this hidey hole of local yum yums. Okay so I went here to snag a cheeseburger for me and the missus. Took it home and was thinking it rather small and cooked at someone's picnic looking (not impressed) then BEWM it was like my taste buds had an orgasm. This was soooooooo nomilicious. I couldn't stop and I was licking the wrapper wanting to relive the experience. Oh yeah they have tots too. I've never eaten in but I'd like to just for the ambiance as the place seems to attract the locals who have lived here forever. My husband and I went here for the first time today and the food was really good! My husband got the shrimp po-boy and I got a small fried chicken salad and some fried mushrooms. I was worried that the fried mushrooms would be bland like other restaurants have been in the past, but the batter has plenty of seasoning (maybe a tiny bit too much salt for my taste) and a nice crunch. My husband said his Po-boy was really good and liked the roll they used. The woman who took our order and gave us our food was really nice. I would call this place a burger joint rather than a deli. They serve a handful of sandwiches, but everyone I saw was eating something from the grill. My burger was tasty and fresh off the grill, at a price on par with fast food. Tater tots were about average. Not a gourmet burger by any means, but great for the price.
