Brunos Italian Deli is a deliciously authentic Italian deli with incredibly delicious sandwiches! I highly recommend it!

I saw this business on TikTok. We do not have an Italian Deli here so I was interested in trying this one out in Columbia, TN. We drove up on Wednesday to check it out. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted. Inside is clean with 4 tables for sitting inside to eat. The restaurant is small and cutely decorated. The display cases with meats, cheeses and different salads and condiments looked great. The deli meats for the subs is sliced very thin. We started with lasagna and garlic bread that Dave and I shared. The filling had beef and Italian sausage and it was delicious. The cheese pull was good and not too much. The red sauce was very good. 5/5 We ordered foods to go after eating the lasagna in store. I failed to take a picture of the lasagna. Suffice it to say it was inhaled quickly. We tried the eggplant panini in store too. Everything else was to go. I ordered a Bruno Sub and asked for roasted red peppers to be added. Honestly I couldn't taste the roasted red peppers as there weren't very many added. There was a thin slice of 1 onion ring on the sub so I couldn't taste any onion at all. For me that's a fail as I like to taste ingredients. 4/5 The eggplant panini came with a side of marinara. I have had eggplant panini's before and was anticipating this one. When I saw it, I was very disappointed. There were 2 very thin slices of eggplant inside a sub roll that had been put in a panini press or under bricks to smash the bread down. The only taste was bread. Marinara was good but couldn't rescue the panini. 1/5 We bought 1 arancini and it came with marinara. I heated it up along with the marinara. One bite in and I was sold. I would definitely go back and order arancini again. The meat inside was flavored well and the marinara made everything come together well. 5/5 We ordered a pastrami. For us there was way too much fat and we couldn't remove the fat like we can in a Jewish deli because this meat was sliced paper thin. 3/5 The potato salad was lacking in flavor to me. There was a significant amount of mayo in my opinion. Dave liked it. 3/5 The marinated artichokes were delicious and so were the white bean salad. 5/5 Dave ordered a Super Sub. It had 4 meats plus lettuce, tomato, and cheese. There was a tiny sliver of onion but we couldn't taste it. He loved his sub. 5/5 The two cannoli's were delicious. I favored the vanilla and Dave favored the chocolate. 5/5 We will return as the food was good. If you are missing an Italian Deli taste, please stop by. This place makes everything from scratch. Wow! Honestly this place is so amazing! Everyone was so kind and really caring! The owners checked on us multiple times and came and talked with us. The atmosphere was awesome! It almost felt like I was in a different country. Everything was decorated with care, and had a purpose. The food though.. yeah it was incredible!! The taste was authentic through and through. Great find! Legit Italian deli where you can purchase Italian food products or get a great sandwich. Ordered a pastrami and eggplant sandwich to go and it was fantastic. Service was fast and friendly! Shop is small but has a few tables if you want to sit and enjoy your lunch. Will be back! So happy to have a shop like this in the area. read more

Came here and picked up 2 sandwiches to go one a PLT panini and the other super sub and a cannoli that we would eat in the car. The panini was trash looked like something a high school cafeteria lady would make and they did the meat separate from the sandwich so it was burnt meat. The bread was wrong it looked like a pancake or gyro versus bread. One bite and tossed it in the trash. Complete waste of money. The super sub was alright but not worth the price. Cannoli was decent . Would not go back or recommend this place as their are better options around. read more

The food here is always top tier. The help and the owners are the nicest people you will ever meet. With three tables inside the atmosphere is very intimate, but they also offer outside seating as well. Since seating is close please be respectful of others and take phone calls outside, this place is often used as a date destination for couples and families. read more

This is THE BEST place in the area for sandwiches and all things Italian deli! First of all, you walk into the absolute cutest little deli that makes you feel like you're in Italy! The whole vibe screams "you've officially left TN" without having to go far from home. I loved the frozen take home items, grocery items to make food at home, the deli counter with so many unique and hard to find items, and THE FOOD! The sandwiches, side salads/pastas and desert was out of this world! Everyone we enters fed with that was working was SO nice, shared recommendations and the food was ready quickly. 100/10 would recommend and we will be very frequent visitors here! Had the super sub and it was fantastic. The bread is freshly made, warm, and delicious. I love the tiny market setup. I had some of the Macaroni salad and pasta salad. I recommend both. Let me start off by saying I wish I could rate Bruno's higher than 5 stars. I discovered Bruno's Deli a few weeks back and needed to check it out. Coming from a very close knit, Italian household from Long Island, New York, I knew I would be picky. Since moving to Spring Hill, part of the life I left was missing and Bruno's has definitely helped close the gap. Their cozy, friendly atmosphere in addition to their delicious, authentic, and diverse Italian meats, cheeses, snacks, drinks definitely make me feel like a kid again back in NY walking into a deli with my Nonno and Nonna. Wow, I can't believe I have now gone to Bruno's 4 or 5 times , and haven't written a review. I must say that I came to Spring Hill almost 6 years ago from Temecula, CA (I know, I know, I'm one of those), and my wife and I had a favorite Italian Deli there for many years. Imagine the surprise and absolute glee when we found out the owners of that deli relocated to the Spring Hill area, and opened Bruno's Deli. So, I guess I have more experience with Bruno's Deli than anyone else reviewing here. May I suggest, humbly, that you give Bruno's a try. Their sandwiches are the best, their bread is fresh, soft, yet crispy on the outside. Their prices are reasonable, and they have a good array of imported Italian products for sale. Today my wife and I split an Italian Beef Dip sandwich, and I must say this is the sandwich the French only wish they made. All of their side dishes are also delicious. We have had their Cannolis, pizzelles, and their cookies, and they are great. We haven't tried their take home dishes as yet, but I am sure they are equally good. Do yourself a favor and drop by Bruno's for an authentic taste and smell of Italy. read more

Excellent new choice for the Spring Hill / Columbia area. The food is terrific, the service is outstanding, and the choices are many. Small, cozy Italian deli with a large menu, a lot of meats and cheeses for purchase, and 2 refrigerators full of food to take home (pasta, sauces, and so much more). We've tried the pastrami sandwich and the Italian sub and would definitely eat these again. On a subsequent visit, we tried the spaghetti with meat sauce and meatballs. Definitely the best Italian deli in the area. The paninis are crunchy and on point. The Bruno sub knocks it out of the park. These cats also happen to make my favorite cannoli.
