One of my favorite little places! The sushi is prepared fresh at the counter with fresh ingredients. I am unable to eat shrimp that isn't fresh due to allergy reasons, however this is one of the few places I can comfortably go knowing that I'll be fine afterwards. They have a wide selection, however if you're unsure what to get, Kent has some great recommendations :) The "Pink Lady" is my personal favorite, and Kent is an absolute artist when preparing it. read more

I've been to this place multiple times, the sushi doesn't taste great. It's also very frustrating to have to beg for sides of spicy mayo, each time I have gone to pick up I have to go back and ask for it because it wasn't included, when I asked for it while ordering. I order from here regularly for takeout. The service is always prompt and pleasant. The sushi tastes great and a side of spicy mayo doesn't cost extra! My favorite sushi place!! The restaurants in nearby port Chester or greenwich can not compare. I always get my shrimp tempura roll from Byram Sushi. I have been a loyal customer since 2015. And I hate to say that I can't make my own sushi or buy anywhere else to replicate the taste that they hAve. When I crave for an excellent flavor, I have to call Byram Sushi. My husband happens to really like this place so I have given this restaurant multiple chances to redeem itself. Especially as we really want to support local businesses. However, the service is awful, deliveries take between 1-1.5 hrs, they have given my pickup order to another customer twice and they have the most mediocre food. There are local restaurants that go above and beyond to ensure their clients receive the best service and create a long lasting relationship. This restaurant is a takeout restaurant they claim to serve sushi and other cook Japanese dishes I was just charged $42 for nine tiny pieces of sushi and sushami. I requested Japanese green tea , I was charged a dollar for each Green Tea and I received two small paper cups with tea bags and tapwater. When entering a restaurant I asked for their sushi meals the owner indicated there were no such sushi meals available. typically a sushi deluxe meal in a Full service Japanese restaurant cost $24 this owner and the audacity to charge me $42 and I received a half of a sushi meal. I strongly urge you to avoid ordering any food in this restaurant as it's too late for me but not for you. read more

I ordered online and got the tofu bento box with noodles and a california roll. I don't know if the tofu was even cooked because it was very slimy and tasted off. The califonia roll had almost no crab meat in it and the tiniest amounts of cucumber and avocado that all I could really taste was rice and seaweed. I was very disappointed because I was looking forward to some good japanese that wouldn't cost me an arm or a leg but I guess you get what you pay for. read more

On the go. I went in around dinner time. The place was very small and the cashier was very polite and helpful. I ordered two sushi rolls and a bento box to go. They prepared the food very fast since they were not busy. As I sat there waiting for my food I noticed the food for the sushi rolls looked old, specially the fish. I was glad that I didn't order any fish. My food was overcooked, soaked in sauce and tasteless. The only thing I could taste was salty! The sushi rolls looked so messy and taste nothing like I had tasted at other places. I was very disappointed, I do not recommend this place. I'm giving them two stars for their service. read more

Not a fan of this place. Ordered a few times but this last time annoyed me enough that I'm done. 3 of the 4 sushi rolls ordered came covered in 2 different sauces that were not listed on the menu. Sauce was so heavy I had to wipe down with paper towels but it didnt help, very soggy. I dont want sauce on my sushi. Tell me its there and ill skip that dish. And the hot food was put in the bag with the cold sushi. 2 bags each with hot and cold food. Its just standard to not put cold sushi on top of hot food. Unfortunately for this place, like most restaurants it all depends on who's working that day. I've been to this place three or four times and every time I've been there someone different is working. If you get one person you get excellent service and great sushi. If another person is working you don't even get a hello and the sushi is subpar. I've had issues ordering delivery from there, no one ever answered the phone after calling three times and the times I've walked in I haven't been impressed. It's a small little spot with two bars to eat at but no chairs to sit in. When I went today there was a little girl there who was very sweet, I'm guessing she had the day off from school but she was touching all the cutting board's and coughing on the food. When I ordered a spicy salmon hand roll the guy just put slices of salmon in the Nori and put spicy sauce over the entire thing I'm not sure how are supposed to hold it and eat it when it was covered in sauce. I think I've given it enough chances. It's just too inconsistent and for $28 a roll I'm not willing to take that chance. read more

Sushi to Die For! Me & my wife have been going every Thursday night to Mitsuba since they have opened over a month ago. They are a new Sushi Bar that specializes in delivery and takeout but they do have some limited seating the Sushi Bar for about 12 people. Just went last night and had a few rolls last night off the special board, Firecracker Maki which is a Red & White Tuna Roll that has a crispy outside rice shell, I have had this twice so far and is my favorite roll so far. I also tried a new roll the owner KENT has added to the special board called AMERICAN RISING a White Tuna Roll with a crushed peanut coated roll that was drizzled in a red spicy sauce that I liked a lot. Kent is a master sushi roller and can create the most delicious and visually stunning sushi. I had some hot Saki and Seaweed Salad for dinner last night while sitting at the Sushi Bar. My wife tried a new Teriyaki Tofu Dish that was on the special board and she said it was so delicious. Other of my favorite rolls to try are the Dragon Roll, Hawaiian Roll & Lava Roll. If you are looking for FRESH SUSHI made to order you can call in for delivery or pick up, or just walk in and sit at the bar and get some Saki or Plum Wine and start ordering away as they roll in front of you eyes. Kent will make anything you want and if you don't see something you like he will get it for your next visit. read more

Don't be fooled by the 4star rating. Unless ur prone to being fooled by the dazzling effects of excessive panko, mayo, tiki cocktail umbrellas and squirt bottle sauce art. This place is a takeout/delivery joint specializing in high margin "specialty" rolls that are so doctored up u could get away w putting canned tuna in the middle. The fish selection on the menu is limited to the ingredients for their special rolls. If u sit at the sushi counter u will get plastic takeout utensils complete w pre packaged soy sauce and unrequested kewpie mayo. No surprise the sushi was just below meh. Fish quality was questionable sushi grade. It was generous in quantity and size but even if it was good fish it's over priced at $7 for a plain roll. 2 stars bc it was edible and the sushi chef was friendly. read more

Recently had take out lunch here. we ordered the Bacon Scallop teriyaki Bento Box and the Dancing Tuna Roll. Service: very good. They were out of Bacon for the bacon wrapped sallops, and when they couldn't reach me by phone the guy actually went out and bought more bacon from a local store so I could get what I ordered. That's commitment and it was very much appreciated, although totally unnecessary. Food: ehh, the bacon scallops were pretty tasty, scallops tasted fresh, the teriyaki sauce was standard fare, sweet but not overbearingly so. came with teriyaki vegetables which tasted fresh, very plain fried rice, 3 pinapple pieces, miso soup, and for some reason a side of spicy mayo, which went unused because obviously. the miso soup was gross. it either had pineapple juice in it, or more likely was served in a to go container that used to house pineapple. inedible. We also had the Dancing Tuna roll. this was the dealbreaker. one of the worst rolls i've had. ever. the roll was spicy tuna in the middle, topped with avocado and fresh tuna, but the top was completely COVERED in spicy mayo, such that you couldn't see the tuna and avocado. I was stunned, I understand that the "spicy" in spicy tuna is spicy mayo, but this took it to a new, horrifying, unimaginable level. I took the napkins they gave me and wiped each piece down as best i could. I think i realized why they did that. the avocado underneath was totally brown and rotten. it's embarrassing that they even served it. Once i wiped as much mayo as i could off and removed the avocado, it was still pretty terrible. the fish itself was reasonably fresh it seemed, just the whole combination wasn't good. This roll also came with an extra side of spicy mayo. because of course it did. Despite a few tasty bites and kind/quick/good service. I shan't return again. read more

I love this place. It is perfect for a quick lunch or take out. It is a little too cramped for a date but the inside provides a clean environment with a few seats. My first visit was while running errands and I needed a small snack, drove passed and figured I'd give it a shot. After devouring the pink lady I was instantly hooked. I called my other half and told her that I was bringing home dinner that night. It can be hard to find fresh tasty sushi that stays consistent but I have now been here a handful of times and can say so far sooooo good. This place rocks. The prices are a little steep for dinner but the lunch specials can't be beat. read more

Ordered delivery. Called them after 1 1/4 hour and the guy on the phone says "okay another 1/2 hour". I said keep it, refund my money. He tells me "Oh no we already made it". We banter back and forth but I've paid online already....what am I gonna do? Miraculously the food shows up 15 mins later......shocker-it was cold. I also thought I ordered the teriyaki beef, not the teriyaki gristle. Seriously it was 1/2 gristle...no exaggeration. The California role was fine, hence the 2 stars. We stopped here for dinner on a friends recommendation and were very disappointed with the sushi. There was very little fish which was tasteless and not very fresh. Also, we ordered the spring rolls which came out frozen. We are sushi people and have been to many many sushi restaurants. I have to say the eel sushi was the worst I have ever had. Yes it's super small and the parking is non-existent, but every time I order delivery, the quality gets better and better.
