We were here in August and had delicious sushi in a calm atmosphere. Returning recently we were disappointed. My sushi was poorly carved almost shredded. And 80% of it was tasteless. The only good part was the white tune. We also ordered tempura appetizer and it was thick and greasy. Never had tempura this terrible before. What a fabulous find! Went here to meet a friend to celebrate my birthday. Went on a Sunday night. It was quite empty, which was surprising, based on how fabulous this restaurant is. We ordered the omakase and it was fabulous. The fresh was very fish and expertly prepared. The cocktails were fabulous too. To top it all off, they brought out a complimentary dessert with a candle on it to celebrate my birthday. They also gave me a very decent bottle of red wine as a birthday gift. What an experience!!! If you have never had omakase, I highly recommend you come here! We came here on a rainy Thursday night and were the only diners. About 30 minutes later another couple came in. We decided to order the omakase instead of a la carte ordering and I'm SO glad we did. Our chef, John, prepared each item with precision and skill, presenting it to us after he created it. The fish is fresh and flown in primarily from Japan twice a week. Wow! Eating here will not help your carbon footprint. The little touches of caviar, wasabi, flame torching, and drizzles of yummy were fun. My husband was still hungry with the 12 course omakase so he ordered a spicy crunchy roll of some sort that was delicious too. The lychee martini was cold and strong, just like it should be. I'm telling all my local friends to dine here. It was worth the money and was a fabulous experience. The wives enjoyed some great sashimi and some delicious and delicately steamed dumplings while me and my boy Fil manned up and ordered the 15 course chefs Omacase dinner. If you want amazing quality sushi go here! Me and the bf went here on a whim although we just had sushi in NYC the other day but that sushi place didn't satisfy our sushi craving. We are super picky when it comes to sushi and Tsuki sushi knows what they are doing. We got the 15 course omakase which consisted of 3 apps, 10 nigiris, 1 handroll, & 1 dessert. We also ordered extra pieces of madai, scallop, and uni. The quality of the fish is top tier - many of their fish/seafood coming from Japan and the fish is super fresh. Friendly & knowledgeable sushi chefs (Harry) and Anna our waitress was super attentive. Overall probably one of the best sushi places I've been to. Solid Japanese place in Greenwich. Of course, there is the notable upscale Greenwich "tax" -- inflated prices for small portions. But even by Greenwich standards, Tsuki is relatively expensive per portion size, compared to equivalent Japanese places. As such, we primarily limit our consumption to when we get DoorDash/GrubHub coupons; the quality is not affected by takeout. My favorite item is the Salmon Lover. The amount and quality of the salmon definitely makes it worth it, even as it may be on the more expensive side. Sashimi and other sushi is OK as well. I haven't tried the non-sushi items, but I'd imagine they are even more inflated prices as you can go to the local Japanese market (Maruichi in Old Greenwich/Stamford) and buy the same goods for a fraction of the price. read more

The setting is very intimate as most omakase joints are, the staff are super friendly as well and most importantly, the food is incredible. They serve 8, 12 and 15 courses of omakase with some of the best fish I've tasted. The fish are flown directly from Hokkaido, Japan. We opted the 8-course omakase and Every piece just melts in the mouth. On top of the 8 course we opted the chef surprised us with extras outside of the menu for the day. Chef mentioned that they try to source the freshest item daily so they can have different fish on their menu at any given day. Definitely a place to go back and hopefully sooner. read more

I arrived early for my pickup order on a slow day, and the hostess let me wait by the bar and brought me green tea. When my order was ready, there was some confusion over how to process it, since I'd prepaid online, but this was resolved quickly. I hadn't even walked half a block when both bags split open & my order fell out. I brought it back & asked for it to be rebagged, & double-bagged this time. The hostess verbally confirmed "double-bag," and then single-bagged it. But this time the bags held up to a gentle five-minute walk and I was able to enjoy my food. The quality of the fish is very good. The crispy duck salad is a great idea - basically peking duck salad. Perfect for me because I love Peking duck but try to avoid grains. However, it was a bit sweeter than I'd have liked and the duck was soggy, possibly because of the spill, though I think it would be a good idea to bag the duck separately in any case, to keep it relatively warm & crispy en route. The avocado salad was fresh & high quality but would have benefited from a different dressing than the ginger carrot one. I would try this place again as a sit-down restaurant but for the price it's pretty mixed for takeout. read more
