    Lunch special chirashi
    Ellen L.

I tried the chirashi, the shashi are fresh, instead of putting in one bowl, they put everything on small plate dividided bamboo box, it's cute and pretty. I enjoyed the meal. The restaurant is clean and service is nice. Definitely one if the best sushi restaurant in the area.

I came here for the lunch special. It was very good. Came out really quickly and was super fresh. The service was very quick and friendly and the Avon was very clean overall very good. Quick sushi lunch.

Crazy Tuna Roll and California Roll

We come to Tsuki Sushi frequently and we always have a great experience. The fish is super fresh and high quality. If you sit at the sushi bar, Chef David is an artist and will make you something special. Definitely recommend the crazy tuna roll and the filet mignon cube entree.

What an experience!!! If you have never had omakase, I highly recommend you come here! We came here on a rainy Thursday night and were the only diners. About 30 minutes later another couple came in. We decided to order the omakase instead of a la carte ordering and I'm SO glad we did. Our chef, John, prepared each item with precision and skill, presenting it to us after he created it. The fish is fresh and flown in primarily from Japan twice a week. Wow! Eating here will not help your carbon footprint. The little touches of caviar, wasabi, flame torching, and drizzles of yummy were fun. My husband was still hungry with the 12 course omakase so he ordered a spicy crunchy roll of some sort that was delicious too. The lychee martini was cold and strong, just like it should be. I'm telling all my local friends to dine here. It was worth the money and was a fabulous experience. The service is so great, as expected from a Japanese restaurant with the hot towels, little finger cleaning cloth in between nigiri, and the dedicated attention to us. Must go!!

It was alright, a typical sushi place you can see everywhere in the US. Nothing special on the menu and everything was just okay. Not super authentic and not particularly cheap. Service was good and nice decors.

Came here for lunch on a Saturday! Their lunch combo is amazing! $13 for 2 rolls or $18 for 3 rolls. If you like simple sushi this is great spot. I got a salmon roll and a Hollywood roll (salmon, yellowtail, avocado). The fish was very good quality and at a great price. The service was great. The staff was very nice considering that there was a huge party of 20-30 going on. Inside is clean, simple decor, and comfortable seating. I would definitely come back here again.

To say this is the best sushi I have ever had in my life is an understatement. We were passing through Greenwich on a Sunday evening driving down from Bar Harbor. We found this gem open and the moment we walked into the restaurant we were greeted with friendly faces and a warm beautiful ambiance. The manager is so knowledgeable of the area and we had a terrific conversation about the area. Highly recommend the spicy edamame and the combo classic rolls that include spicy salmon. Delicious. So many options and wish we could come back for more! The fish is so fresh! Must stop by!! Highly recommend

Really enjoyed lunch at Tsuki Greenwich in Greenwich. We had a variety of fresh and delicious sushi from eel, spicy tuna and yellow fin. This Japanese Seafood Udon Soup was outstanding. Seafood was fresh and dish is full of flavor. The menu has a expansive variety of options... all sound delicious We sat at the bar. The staff was super friendly and extremely accommodating. Loved the bar atmosphere. The restaurant seating seemed very warm and inviting as well. Highly recommend stopping by for a bite. Buon Appetito! #fairfieldcountyfoodandwinejournal

Immediately upon sitting down we saw that the prices were insane for what the menu items actually were. We ordered the shrimp tempura appetizer, which was $18 for 4 shrimp. It was very good, but worth it...? I don't know. The sweet potato croquettes had a great texture on the interior and exterior, but absolutely no flavor inside. The dim sum was delicious, but also overpriced for just 4 small soup dumplings. I ordered the stir-fried udon, and the noodles themselves were delicious, but the chicken was tough/overcooked and also had no flavor. The organic grilled chicken was a bit burnt on the outside and too salty. It was a $32 plate for just chicken and a few veggies-- it didn't even come with white rice or anything. For this price point, I'd expect that I'm paying for at least great service. But our waiter left us alone and only checked on us maybe twice the whole time? We were waiting about 15 minutes just to get the check because he'd completely disappeared. The restaurant wasn't crowded, and we were one of just two tables in the section, so I'm not sure why he left us alone for so long. Eventually, two other employees checked us out and packed our food after waiting that long. Overall, it was pretty disappointing and we left wishing we'd just gone somewhere else. I've gone to Japanese restaurants and had the same amount of food (if not more) for better quality, better service, and better price.

There are two sections, one for hibachi style, and one for sushi and other dishes. I had the bento box, which, preceded by a miso soup, included grilled chicken, tempura, sushi, shumai, sashimi, ginger, wasabi, steamed vegetables and a salad. My wife had the hibachi sirloin steak. The chef, who happened to be from Puebla, Mexico, tried his best to entertain us and the other diners, a mom and her little daughter. We were the first diners to arrive, but before too long, the place became very busy and noisy. Even so, we liked the ambiance, and the cuisine didn't disappoint. There was enough to take home, which helped defray the rather pricey check. Ice cream was offered for dessert.

I will continue to order but not their raw sushi. First time I ordered it was great. My last two recent orders, the sushi had a strong fishy smell to it which is not typical of fresh clean sushi. It should not have that strong of a scent, it should have very little or almost no scent. Nothing happened with the first fishy scented sushi but this time (most recent order) I got food poisoning. We came on a cloudy Saturday afternoon after lunch in the area and were hoping for a nice spot to just sit and catch up. I got a Yuzu tea while my friends got a matcha latte and we got a strawberry cream tart to share. The Yuzu was fragrant and the tart was nice and light, exactly what you'd expect from an Asian dessert -- "not too sweet". When we were done, we happily perused all of the goods in the store. They had so many different Japanese offerings, it was so nice to see -- ceramics, teas, snacks, cooked food, etc. There was SO much, and on top of that, they seemed to have almost all of the Harney & Son's offerings, including the special edition teas like the Death of the Nile and Murder on The Orient Express. I was super impressed by this little shop and can't wait to visit Stamford again to explore more of the goodies.

The Japanese ladies who work there--handling product quality, food preparation, and…read moremanagement--work very hard and always welcome me with a smile. The spirit of "ichi-go ichi-e" (treasuring each moment as unique) embodies the beauty of "wa" (harmony) rooted in Japanese Zen philosophy. However, now that the store has become a massive chain, the employees (local part-time or temporary workers) can't even say hello or offer a simple "thank you." They just toss food and items into paper bags. In the worst cases, even when they have a free hand, they won't even bother to put items into the bag for you (much like the self-service at many local supermarkets). They don't ask if you'd like chopsticks, and they remain so unfriendly that customers have to pack everything into the bag themselves--they do nothing until you specifically ask for chopsticks. Can this really be called a Japanese restaurant? Given my position, I'm quite particular about discipline and manners, but I rarely reprimand people I don't know. However, since the situation was so bad, I did speak up--but they must have held a grudge, because their attitude has been even worse ever since. I want to eat delicious food, but I believe the true beauty of Japanese cuisine is only realized when you not only taste the food itself but also appreciate the elegance of the tableware, the pleasant atmosphere of the venue, and the "spirit of hospitality.『Omotenashi no Kokoro」 It's truly disappointing.
