We stumbled upon Byrdies while shopping and what a treat it was, their specialty coffees are very unique and so good. I got the lorelai a fig & caramel latte with oat milk, it was a bit on the sweet side almost felt like a dessert but I'm not complaining it was amazing, my daughter had the banana pancake latte and it was equally delicious, wish I had more time to try the rest of the flavors but we were only in town for a day. I can't forget to mention they have the most beautiful flower arrangements for sale and the service was excellent our barista was so helpful in helping us choose which latte to get based on our preferences. If you're looking for a specialty coffee place in Poulsbo, this is the place. It isn't a sit in shop, it is a walk up shop but it's the cutest one I've ever seen. I was VERY pleasantly surprised to see that there was such a cute coffee shop in this town AND that they had seasonal flavors along with funky and unique "classic" drinks. They have fresh flowers for sale and tote bags that one of the baristas designed herself! The barista was so sweet and made the visit go so smoothly. The drinks were delicious, creamy and you could taste the different syrups. The flavor combos and specialty drinks were so unique and if I lived anywhere nearby this would be my routine coffee stop, I am OBSESSED with their flavor combos. Note to the owner: I hope you slowly open up more shops, maybe in the Seattle Area :D If you're coming into town to visit, skip all the other coffee shops and head straight here. read more

such a cute little shop! we stopped by for some morning drinks and i got the banana cream matcha. the banana flavor is pretty faint but it was still a solid matcha with this flavoring. the prices are pretty reasonable and the worker was super sweet. there's only one person working so keep that in mind! they also have many seasonal drinks which is fun to choose from. read more

We were looking for a good coffee shop in Poulsbo and stumbled on this cute little coffee shop in the main street of town. We've tried a few other coffee shops in the area but wanted to try something new. They had a cute stand to purchase flowers in addition to their drinks. We ordered two of their seasonal drinks: the ferry girl and the secret garden matcha. I'm a big fan of matcha with strawberries or blueberries, so I was looking forward to it. Unfortunately, it was one of my least favorite matcha lattes I've consumed. The barista added about 4 pumps of sweetener to a 12 oz latte, and the smallest amount of matcha you can imagine. Not saying I expect all matcha to be whisked traditionally, but you can't even taste it at all in the drink since it was majority syrup and milk. I couldn't finish it because I couldn't take how sweet it was. If I were to try it again, I'd ask for less sweet. However, I passed by another girl who ordered a matcha latte and the color of it was just as dull as mine, so not quite sure if I'd opt for Byrdie's for matcha again. The ferry girl latte was good though. It was a cookie butter latte that had the right amount of sweetness but was very coffee forward. I liked that there was some crumbled cookie on top for texture and decoration as well. The seasonal menu looked great and the prices were reasonable within a tourist area of Poulsbo. I wish I had better things to say about that secret garden matcha, but it was more of a strawberry coconut milk than a matcha in any way. The coffee is great and customizable. Overall, I think I'd stick to some other coffee shops around the area, but it's an alright place for a quick pick me up. read more
