Bartenders are great! Trivia Tuesday is a blast. Nice outdoor area to sit and video poker isn't stuffed in a little back room so you can play a game and still hang with friends that don't play. Steve the cook is pretty funny and makes some good food. 10/10 would recommend. read more

I just ate a sirloin steak, mash potatoes and steamed broccoli for only 20 bucks. It was so perfectly cooked. Excellent flavor on all the parts! Almond the cook and Jacob and Victoria the bar tenders, gave the best service! So fun. Will definitely be going back! Yummers! read more

Ok, so I'm not much for leaving restaurant reviews but I cannot pass this one up. I've been involved in the restaurant industry most of my life in one capacity or another, and customer service is supposed to be of paramount importance. Well, I can tell you that tonight was one of my most disappointing experiences ever. My wife and I walked into Chase and were greeted with staff that told us that all the tables except one were reserved for another group. This is not necessarily uncommon, however none of the group members were there yet and the place was not very busy at all. Once seated it only took 2-3 minutes to get the beers we ordered, but then we proceeded to sit there for at least 15-20 minutes waiting for someone to take our order. Not only did we not get our order taken, no one even said a word to us. After finishing our beers we decided to leave. I went up to pay for my beers and figured they would ask why we were leaving, as they should. Nope, not a word. We have frequented Chase for many years, but after our experience tonight, I will never step foot in that place again. If you're looking for a great place to eat, unfortunately you have to go to another town as we don't have very many good choices in Monmouth or Independence. Try out north Dallas Bar & Grill. The food is always generous in size and taste very yummy. The seating is nice but the ambiance could include some light music when people aren't playing the juke box. I had the chase salad very fresh tasting! My only complaint is they don't have a happy hour bites menu between 3-6 kind if a let down. My recommendation go for dinner or lunch and with an appetite! Ps the bartenders are nice and seem to be attentive and thoughtful! Love it! read more

Teeny, tiny. Love the bartenders... busy busy. I ordered the 'Scooby Snacks' a creamy lime flavor... first one was odd, the rest were great. I love the smoking area very cute. Whoa. Great food. Everything on their menu is very good quality. A little on the expensive side but well worth it for the food. Staff is nice, though kind of spacey sometimes. The portions are nice sized too, so that even offsets the cost. They have a nice environment with very comfortable sweating. read more

Went here once during trivia night. Ordered some food and a drink for my birthday. Went with a friend where we were catching up on life while sitting at the bar and talking to the bartender who Worked with at a previous job. Ended up getting kicked out when there were like 8 people in the bar and we were "too loud". I didn't know a conversation was "too loud". I spend a lot of money out but I'll never go back here. When I wrote a review that night on their Facebook page the owner commented back saying I'm not allowed back in his bar, although he wasn't even there that night. Not to mention his spelling and punctuation was absolutely horrible in his response. read more

Okay so I used to look down and preformed frozen burger patties, but chase has one of the best burgers I've ever tasted and its a dreaded preformed patty. The royal chase burger is soo good. It is a large patty on grilled garlic roll, with whiskey infused cheddar, grilled red onion, bacon, ketchup and mayo. I have a good appetite and always take half home. The pub fries are tasty, always cooked to order, and the house ranch is garlicky and filled with parmesan cheese. They had standard fried pickles, fried muchrooms, cheese sticks and other bar food, but the clear winner is the royal Irishman. Give it a try. Plus they have some great bartenders. read more

Very clean, inviting, and has, by far, the best outdoor patio - heaters, comfortable furniture and even a flat screen! The food there is all the rage; I've traveled from my home in Salem a few times just to enjoy their burgers or wide range of fun appetizers. Jackie Sprung, Social Director for the Jackson Corvette Club. Went there on a Wednesday with about 30 people from the club. Everybody enjoyed the food...didn't matter....burger, pizza and appetizers were all great!!! Beer was cold and soft drinks were sure to be re-filled. We'll keep this place in mind when the downtown car shows start. The staff was very friendly and made sure everybody got looked after. We asked to be seated upstairs so we could have a short meeting and they had no problem getting us set up. I know many of our members will be back. read more

I have been a long time visitor over many many years and have always loved the atmosphere, the food, drinks, and company. When I went in this past week, it was so sad and lacking. I asked the bartender if the beer was cold and he looked at me like I had said something outlandish. Said they don't aim to serve warm beer and yet the draft was like drinking tap water in the summer. The cook was rude and unsmiling. The outside lounge was dirty and the bathroom door handle broken. It has really gone downhill over the past year and I won't be going back any time soon. read more

Servers care more about getting tips than serving and checking back with the customers eating or sitting down. Don't serve food if you can't even cater to those customers. The cook was more attentive to us than anyone working here. She makes great food and really cares if the customer like it or not it. Bar staff is lacking. The owner Paula is amazing, you can't say enough good things about the people who run the place. Joe is a fantastic cook in the back and works his butt off. But as far as the regulars are concerned, be careful who you talk to. You might just get sexually harassed, a bunch of crummy people go here. My husband and I rode our motorcycles through Independence today, and decided to stop in for some drinks and snacks. The bar looks awesome and I love the wood décor. The patio was pretty awesome as well, and the bathroom was very clean. The service and the food, however, were terrible. The gentleman that waited on us took more than 15 minutes to bring us menus or take our drink orders, and there were only two other tables with patrons. It took well over 30 minutes to get our appetizers, once the order was actually placed, and they tasted pretty bad. Not sure why, but the batter on both the onion rings and mushrooms was so salty that I had to peal the batter off, and eat the mushroom inside. Then we had to wait for another 20 minutes to get our damn check. At this point I handed the waiter/bartender a $20 and got the hell out. I have NEVER in my entire life, had to spend over an hour to get two appetizers and two drinks. We will not be coming back.....ever! read more

The food is amazing!!! The only reason it's getting 3 star at max is the wait on the food the last 2 times we were there. The first time this happened my husband and I had an appetizer to start with and some drinks. It was all good cuz I had a couple of drinks at this point and was feeling pretty good. We ordered a burger and it took one whole hour to get it. They didn't seem to be disturbed by this at all. I actually almost thought they were gonna comp the burger for taking so long but she really didn't even seem to notice at all. And like I said, I was having a good time enjoying date night. Buy tonight was different. It's a work night, I wanted a quick dinner and we drank water. So nothing exciting going on. Just wanting to come in for great food. Another hour on our dinner. Was seriously dying about this. The server , which was the same server as last time, had absolutely no sense of urgency whatsoever. I love their food but now this might be a deal breaker if I want a great dinner after a long day at work. I could've been home so much earlier , that it wasn't worth it. Very disappointed again about charging full price for our very dissatisfied dinner twice in a row. I expect no charge on bread or a dessert or a $5 gift card for the inconvenience. Something. But it was so dismissed. Suggestion : maybe call ahead and order your food in advanced if your in a hurry. Or eat lunch before arriving so then you won't care how long it takes. But if your ok waiting longer than a hour for your burger, it'll be delicious. They just seem to be really under staffed everytime we've been in. read more

Recently went in to meet co workers, we sat we were given menus quickly.. Bartender took out beverage order quickly..Got them quickly. Ok when we arrived it was pretty busy but quickly emptied out. Had great conversations going on but waited for someone to take our food order .. There was a young waitress wiping tables by us when we finally were Able to ask her if we can have our order taken. She apologized for she 40 min wait .. A good 45-1 hr additional! and the place was mostly empty... We got our food! SMH! We asked waitress what was the holdup..she was oblivious to the hour we waited .. She was clueless so frustrating! I expected some sort of compensation. Nothing! This was a couple weeks ago and it still makes me angry thinking of it . Hope this doesn't happen to you . I did read another review .. Sounded the sAme as mine . Wow .
