Awesome taphouse. Owner has great knowledge of the craft beers on tap. Will be a place we stop when in Dallas from now on!

What a find! We were looking for a dog friendly place to eat after we had been wine tasting in the area. Yelp led us here and it did not dissapoint. The staff were so welcoming and hospitible and went out of their way to make our dog feel welcome and comfortable. The food was fantastic. And the beer and wine menu was amazing. Plus, it did not break the bank. Best burger I've had in a long time. We will be back for sure. read more

I was fortunate enough to be shown the West Valley Taphouse on Friday evening. The staff were all amazing. Denise and Mary were very attentive to all our needs and have wonderful personalities. Especially Denise what an amazing person. Thank you!! The burgers were delicious as were the beer battered fries and the coleslaw is to die for. The home made fry sauce was just as wonderful as the other food. I will be trying the ribs next time I am there. The wide variety of beers and ciders were so extensive everyone will be able to find something they will enjoy. Thank you to all the staff at the West Valley Taphouse. We had a gift card for this establishment so we thought we would give it a try. This place did not disappoint. We parked on the street and walked in. They had a bar and some tables and some children running around so we decided to see what was outback. We went out back through a little what looks to be a recreation room and there was a nice covered patio area with many covered (from the sun) seats. What a great little oasis outback. I checked with some other patrons and found you needed to order at the bar so we did. They have a great selection of beer (I can't elaborate much more than that) I wanted iced tea. The only they they had was sweetened tea in a bottle which they were quick to point out, so as not to disappoint. I settled for a diet Pepsi. They have a great selection of wine to which I may check out in the future. I ordered the Bacon, Avocado burger which I'm not really a fan of but those things on a burger but they did it nicely (I didn't order the hubby did). I really enjoyed the burger and part of the fun was watching them cook it out back ok the grill on the patio. The burger came with french fries which were very unique and just enough so you didn't fill up on them. A side of fry sauce which is always my jam. I was very happy. Hubby got a bratwurst with a side of coleslaw. He said it was very good. This appears to be kind of a one person show the guy ordering was also cooking the burgers, etc. We did have a gal bring the meal to our table but really a small work group and as it got a bit later more tables filled in. It was Sunday so they close at 7 PM so probably just the right amount of staff to handle it. They have it set up so you buss your own table. It wasn't mentioned but it looked like that is what they preferred. They bring the meal and the utencils to you. Well, except they forgot a folk but I for some random reason had a plastic one in my purse so saved the day for the coleslaw eating hubby. One unique thing I noticed is they have a Ziploc bag with water and pennies in it over the door way from the outside. I asked the guy about it and he said it was to deter the flies from entering. I Googled it later, it might work (there weren't any flies) but it could be an old wives table. I actually think I want to try this. All in all I really liked the place. It looks like they will rent out the patio for events too so that could be fun. I'll definitely be back to try some other items on the menu. read more

The food here is just OK. The service the last two times was quite slow. We sat and waited a long time to even talk to somebody about what kind of beer we wanted and to place our order it just seems like very average bar food. read more

Walked in and some tables were occupied by people eating so we sat down. There was no one but the bartender in the room and she ignored that we were there. After 15 minutes or so I got up to inquire if they had food and she pointed to a stack of menus. No words. I asked if we had to order there and got a yes. We ordered and paid and when we got our food it was pretty good. Just no service at all and no one or no signs indicating it was necessary to walk to the bar to get a menu and order food. Disappointed. Not everyone has been there before and knows the drill. Not very welcoming. Maybe it's the town or just them? Don't know. read more

This is a good, solid three... Not a bad three, but a three none the less. The beer is usually pretty good here and they have a huge selection! The company is usually good and the service always seems friendly! That deserves at least a four, right? The answer is yes, BUT... Here's the thing. If this place only served booze, it would be a really great establishment and I'd give them at least a four. What gets me is the food. Tonight, I ordered the French dip and the menu actually says, "Probably the best French dip sandwich you'll ever have." Seeing that, I was intrigued and had to have it. The result: It was about 82% bread (very crusty). There was maybe three slices of roast beef (seemed like lunch meat) and hopefully a full slice of Swiss cheese (maybe one and a half). Served with a bowl full of watery Au Jus (tasted like the packet kind) and a handful of chips. Now, I'm no French dip expert, but I gotta say, I've had a few good experiences with these sammiches. Not to mention, no one is gonna beat French dips the way my Mom makes them. The "best I'll ever have" is VERY inaccurate and should probably say something more like, "Hey, it's edible, if you like a lot of bread." Someone in our party ordered the tri tip sandwich and it wasn't much different. The chili bowl did look pretty mean, tho. I'm getting that next time. Oh! And the sandwiches are $10+ dollars. Bummer. Again... Not a bad place! I'll continue to visit and drink their beer, but I'll be thinking twice before ordering the food. read more

The beer, wine, craft soda and kumbucha selection is great. The French dip was delicious on fresh bread. We also got the pretzel which was good but small for the price. The atmosphere was laid back and very relaxing. The bartender was nice and helpful as it was our first time here. They also have paint night every other sunday! read more

Good drinks (lots to choose from on tap) and good food. Stopped in here with my hubby for lunch. I had a 1/4 rack of sweet sauced ribs (3 meaty ribs) and hubby had a good (but messy) Philly cheese steak. Both came with a side. We chose fries which were unique and tasty. Clean place and friendly service. We'll definitely be back, maybe to enjoy the back patio on a sunny day. read more

The pulled pork sandwich was AWESOME. I had potato salad as my side. The potato salad has very small pieces (I prefer larger chunks in my potato salad); however, the flavor was good. My friend had the French dip, he said it was good. Great selection of ales, lagers, etc. I had the root beer and it was delicious. They open at noon and had a small crowd today. Ok, so here is the deal. They have an amazing- and I mean amazing selection of beers, ciders, & wines on tap at fair prices. They are friendly. They are understaffed and slow. I will not eat there again. But I will go to try beers, to have a pint with a friend or to work away from the office. I just know to leave food out of the equation. And here is the other thing, they will let you bring in outside food while you drink there. So go to drink not tell eat. read more

The drinks are absolutely the highlight of this place and the selection is impressive. Cons: Service is minimal as you order at the bar, even if you are at a table. This place is amazing. They have over 30 beverages on tap. Ranging from blondes, ambers, stouts and ciders. I have not tried the food yet but heard that is good as well. And the price for growler refills is comparable to other places. And if you don't have your own growler already, theirs are only $5! Great place! read more
