I'm a big fan of both stairmaster workouts and strength training, so when I heard Bünda offers a class that's 50/50 stairmaster and weights, I was immediately in! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I took a class with Iman and had such a great experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They ask you to show up early, and I really appreciated why: the coach personally greets you, walks you through the format, and checks in about any injuries.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I had recently tweaked my back, so it was reassuring to let Iman know ahead of time. It made me feel more comfortable and not like I was wussing out on the weights =p[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The workout itself was fantastic: three sets on the stairmaster alternating with three sets of strength training on the floor. Each station is stocked with its own weights, so it's easy to tailor the intensity. Want to go heavier than 30lbs? They've got dumbbells up to 75 lbs in the back. The studio is spotless and thoughtfully set up, with nice little touches like hair ties and tampons in the bathroom, small things that make a big difference. Overall, Bünda feels welcoming, challenging, and well run. Highly recommend if you love mixing cardio and strength in one efficient class. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I loved Iman's energy and friendly vibes![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Bunda Costa Mesa is the first OC location but there are several in the LA area. I joined Bunda as a founding member when they opened in late October 2024 and I am still seeing my membership through. As you can see I have a little over a 100 check-ins so I can leave an honest review. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Booking is easy. You can book on the app, website or call in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The owners are Rob and Jonny and they are INCREDIBLE. They really are invested in the business and take pride in it. Very rare you won't see one of them on site without greeting you with a smile.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The front desk team is also very warm and welcoming. Becca is my girl at check in. She is quick, attentive and friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The workouts themselves vary on days but always expect a 50 minute workout with half of it being on the stair master. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays are butt and legs days. While Tuesday and Thursdays are upper body and ABs. The weekends are glute camp Saturdays and Sundays are total body. I find Sundays to be the toughest for myself. I really enjoy how the week is split up and focuses on different body parts. The trainers really are amazing here and so kind. I can talk about all of them forever! Catie holds down the mornings for the most part she always has a solid playlist and so cheerful. Katrina is incredible with demonstrations and making sure we understand form and how it all works together. Iman has the highest energy and always gets me through my low days. Her and Katrina are always encouraging on going heavier. I love taking Nicole's classes on Friday nights and Sundays. She keeps them spicy but pushes us. I enjoy whenever Alexa and Ashley fills in as they are great at demoing and pushing us through as well. Otherwise, Rob and Jonny also bring the heat when they teach and always want you leveling up. Overall, I have mad love for the Bunda Costa Mesa team. This boutique gym is top notch and definitely recommend. They also have a water machine, bathrooms on site and an in body scan machine. They also have fun challenges throughout the year to keep you motivated which I really appreciate!

Bunda is hands down the best workout I've ever committed to, and the credit goes to my amazing instructor, Iman.

The pool is useless if you are serious swimmer. Frequently 90°, I'm overheating after 300 yards. This pool is for geriatrics and kids. Also for their pool parties but not for real swimmers. Workout area is great, lots of racks. I hate the lighting though. The ceiling is covered in outdoor parking lights. I don't think it bothers anyone else but it's offensive to me. I wish there were designated stretching areas but you can stretch in front of your rack if that's where you are working out otherwise you just have to find a space. The locker room is bad, too crowded. Not enough lockers. Not enough toilets. The sauna - horrible. It only holds 8 people at a time, the steam room is even worse 5, if that. The showers are decent, plenty of room to do what you need to do. I've only done cycle classes, they are basically HITT workouts high RPM, High heart rate, but only 45 minutes. There as a recovery area where there are massage chairs, Normatec goodies for use and hyperice massage guns....and vibration plates. Very nice! Is it worth it. I'm still a member so yes, but it could improve.

The facility itself is beautiful, upscale, and consistently clean, with thoughtful amenities like Kiehl's products in the locker rooms that make the experience feel elevated. What really makes this gym stand out, though, are the amazing instructors. Cory for spin, Mariah for mat Pilates, and Haly, Isaiah, and Carmen for Alpha are some of my favorites. Last year, around May 2025, they introduced CTR, a reformer-based Pilates class that was a total game changer for me. I no longer needed to go to a separate Pilates studio. Rob and KO helped build the program, and they were both spectacular. Rob is rarely there now, and KO recently left the gym. In my opinion, Anisa Diaz is an exceptional CTR instructor. Honestly, she's great in every class I've taken with her, including spin and mat Pilates. No two CTR classes with her are ever the same. She's incredibly knowledgeable about the human body, has excellent flow, and every movement feels intentional and challenging in the best way. She consistently brings fresh ideas and new challenges that keep the classes engaging and fun. She truly elevated the entire experience. However, over the past few months, some of her classes have been cut, and I feel the CTR program has started to feel lacking and subpar. Because of that, I've found myself returning to private Pilates studios like Drenched OC, Anodetome, Sol, and Jetset Pilates, which are all fantastic if you're considering a private studio experience. At this point, I mainly take CTR at Life Time only when Anisa is teaching. Overall, I'm still very happy with Life Time. I just wish they would bring more energy -- and Anisa -- back to CTR.

The new shower products are an upgrade from the old ones. The reason my rating is low; The main issue I have here is that I frequently see people taking selfies in the locker room. I used to complain about it, but management doesn't seem to do anything. I get an email that it's serious or a phone call and I appreciate it, but nothing seems to happen. Just today, I went through the locker room to go to the party that the gym was having, and I saw a girl taking selfies in the locker room. Other women were changing there, so it wasn't like she was all alone. It's super easy to get photos of people changing in the background. I have easily seen people taking selfies in the locker room at least a dozen of times in the last couple years. We change there. We don't have our clothes on. Why is it okay to take a photo? Even if you aren't intending to photograph others, which most people aren't, people can easily show up in the background. It makes me so uncomfortable. I avoid changing in the locker room now, or if I do, I try to hide in the back. Changing in the bathroom stalls isn't easy because things can fall into the toilet and changing in the shower is wet and the showers sometimes get crowded. It has decreased how much I value this gym, and I am hesitant to recommend it to others. I pay a lot for the gym and amenities, but if I have to constantly look over my shoulder, it ruins the experience. And when I do shower here, I have to bring clothes I can immediately change into in the shower to minimize walking around undressed in case someone decides to take a selfie and I happen to be in the reflection in the mirror. This also limits my ability to do stuff in the locker room like put lotion on. If I complain, I feel l get labeled as a "Karen". Staff doesn't seem to care. People get upset if you talk to them, and I shouldn't have to. I get emails from management that they take this seriously, but if they did they could at least put prominent signs on the mirrors in the locker rooms or have staff members remind women in the locker room not to take photos.

I've been to just about every 24 Hour Fitness around Orange County over the years -- South Coast, Fountain Valley, Irvine, Santa Ana, MainPlace, Bristol, Huntington Beach, and more -- and this location has ended up being the one I consistently come back to. The biggest reason is honestly the convenience and the community. It's only a few minutes from my house, I know a lot of the regulars and staff, and after this many years it starts to feel more like a familiar routine than just another gym. Brandon and the management team have always been good, and the staff overall does a solid job keeping things moving. The remodel definitely improved the gym and made the layout more user-friendly. Equipment access feels better than it used to, and overall it's cleaner and more functional than a lot of other big box gyms in the area. That said, I do think they could have taken the renovation further. Adding recovery-focused amenities like red light therapy, cold plunges, or upgraded wellness features would have made a huge difference and helped modernize the experience. I'm also not thrilled that towels disappeared while membership prices somehow continue going up year after year. I've been a member for a very long time, and it does get frustrating watching the price steadily increase without really feeling like long-term members get much back in return. Still, for the price point, it's honestly a pretty good gym. It's not an ultra-luxury executive fitness club, but you generally get solid value for what you pay for. Good equipment selection, decent atmosphere, familiar faces, and overall a reliable place to train consistently.

I really wanted to like this gym, like really. I was a long time member of UFC Corona, which was my…read morefavorite all time gym. I relocated some years ago and I have struggled to find a gym that compares. Before you get to the gym, just know you're likely going to have trouble finding parking. This is a shared lot and it is busy from early am to late. Now for the gym, I don't love the setup here. It's a bit choppy for someone looking to do split days such as back and bicep or chest and tricep or even quad or ham days. You'll find some equipment up stairs and some downstairs, which makes the workout not flow. You tend to lose your momentum with the way the set up is. There's lots of equipment, but it does not matter what day or time you go, it's all super busy. The wait for equipment is slow. Secondly, the people standing around just chatting in groups like the gym is social time makes it harder to get in your workout. Many of those same people working out in slides or some other form of inappropriate shoe. For those looking to get a consistent burn it's very challenging waiting on those conversations to end so the equipment is freed up. Overall, the gym lacks good repair and cleanliness. Generally, there is thick dust throughout caked on machines and equipment. Free weights are not stacked together nor in their correct place. The clips on many pieces of equipment are either not compatible to certain straps or are missing. If you are on the shorter side this is another challenging aspect because equipment; like the lat pull downs, won't reach when you sit down. You'll need to invest in your own. I suggest the large sturdy metals ones, 4 inch. I have never used the pool, fitness rooms, and locker/restrooms. I can't provide much feedback there. I've had an experience with the manager that was unexpected and I was left a bit disheartened due to the lack of truthfulness and follow up. I was left thinking my membership was on hold, but it wasn't and I lost two months of working out. In summary, I have had an aversion to working out here as I have difficulty seeing it as my new home gym. My membership will run out in a couple of months and I have already started looking for another gym! I recommend shopping around and trying free gym memberships until you find one that feels like your home gym.

Their commitment to honoring the Lord through their business is evident. It's a welcoming environment where excellence and care are clearly a priority. I truly believe the Lord will continue to bless Mark and Kat, both in their business and in their family, because of their faithfulness and obedience to Him.
