My insurance company wanted me to take it to a transmission specialist to see if the wreck caused any further damage. We take it to this place on a Monday and get a rental. By Wednesday they figure out the damages are not caused by my wreck and that I just need a new transmission. We tell them to do the repairs. They tell us it will be ready on Friday. Friday comes. No car. Same with Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. During this time we call everyday and after complaining they say they will help us out with rental by getting it down to $20/day and then covering it since Monday. 11 days later my car is ready. My husband picks it up and when I get home I notice part of gr undercarriage is hanging off up front and part of the section which was covered by a piece of plastic is completely missing. Oh. And they didn't get our rental down the $20/day that both myself and my husband were promised. And the only thing discounted was $150 for rental. Total bill $2500 and our rental was over $450. And my damn SUV still isn't 100% back to what it was. All I want is my cars appearance back to 100% normal.

Hi, I want to share my experience to warn others…read more I took my Honda CR-V to Gonzalo Ruiz's shop on November 1st, 2025 for a transmission repair. We paid $1,243. He initially "fixed" the issue, but just two days later the transmission started having the exact same problem again. Since the repair supposedly included a 1-year warranty, we returned the car to the shop--and since then, there has been no proper response. He has not answered our calls, and my CR-V is still sitting at his shop along with several other vehicles that appear to have similar issues. This has been an extremely frustrating and stressful experience. The lack of communication and responsibility is unacceptable. At this point, I just want my car back and a refund. Please be careful and think twice before bringing your vehicle here. I intend to proceed with filing a civil case. Situations like this should not continue to affect hardworking individuals who depend on their vehicles. It is unacceptable for a mechanic to accept payment and fail to provide proper service and communication.
