John is a fantastic property manager! He was very responsive to emails and inquiries, in addition to his superior attention to the C&C property I lived at. Any building issues that arised through the duration of my tenancy were always dealt with in a timely manner. John was very diligent with routine inspections of fire/CO2 alarms, etc. and the overall care and upkeep of the property. Cannot recommend John enough. All of the good reviews on here are lies and more than likely have been put up by whoever is running this fake company. Do not waste your time. This is a scam! I applied for a home September 13th and at the time of me applying I asked were there any other applicants before I submitted the application? I was told no! Which was a lie because I was also told in another phone call that there were three other applicants other than myself who the owner were looking at their applications. a week later when I hadn't heard from anybody within a 5 to 7 days that they stated. I was told they had not heard from the landlord yet. I was patient and waited for another week and had not heard anything. Now we are into the beginning of October and still hadn't heard anything. . As I am looking for places, I see that they have reposted this home on Craigslist. So how could you not have heard from the landlord but you reposted the home. Upon doing my research I found that this home is actually not for rent that is for sale. It is really sick to scam people with families who are looking for homes. I would definitely get zero stars if that was an option. This is really disheartening to know that people are out here. Scamming families. read more

Posts vacancies on their website, that probably aren't even rentals that they manage, just to collect application fees from people that are in need of housing. Any good review they have is posted by a bot they paid to speak highly of them. Avoid if you can, but most people that are getting scammed by them are probably too desperate to look into their sketchy businesses practices before sending them money. Anyone that has a problem with them the *owner* simply puts "Review posted in error to the wrong company..", and for that all I have to say is, you better hope there isn't someone judging you are when you finally keel over, John read more

Even under the best of circumstances, over the course of renting a property for more than 4 years, issues are bound to arise. And for every bit of those 4 years, we held confidence that if anything in our rental needed attention, we'd receive a quick response from C&C Property Management's John Casey. He ensured our landscape crew worked consistently and to a high standard, maintained a reliable schedule of regular maintenance e.g. testing fire extinguishers, fire and CO2 alarms, air filter changes and dryer vent cleaning. He communicated issues with the property owners on our behalf and while very professional, John was personable, too. My kids were always chatting his ear off any time he was by for a property visit. His commitment to providing reliable service couldn't have been exemplified better than in the time he was traveling a family vacation. For starters, he gave us advance notice that he'd be offline and the contact info for his backup during his time away and then he followed up to ensure our issue had been resolved while he was still on vacation. This company talks a great talk, but fails where it actually counts. They are super fast and responsive when setting up the property, but once booked you never hear from them again. They will only respond when absolutely necessary and after multiple requests for information. Had a maintenance request while renting one of their managed properties and it took several months to even get a reply. When the response was finally given, they shifted blame for the delay onto the property owner - which even if it was, doesn't explain the lack of communication. Acknowledge you're working on it and then if there are delays keep tenants and owners up to date. That is the managing part of property managing. Was eventually told that they would send a repair tech out. Months went by, they never did. When our lease ended we got out of there as fast as we could. They were late processing our deposit and again only acknowledged it after numerous emails/calls. The most maddening things is we knew they were getting our communication because when they needed something from us, all of a sudden all the phones and emails worked Also, they had the neighbors watching the property and entering our backyard to spy on us. Super creepy and probably illegal, but the unfortunate thing is the cost to take them to arbitration is so high they get away with this abhorrent behavior. Seriously, have someone else manage your property unless you like being blamed for everything. I've rented a lot of places and never had a company inconvenience me so much and charge me for that privilege the way C&C did. Take your business elsewhere because it's not worth the hassle. read more

John Casey is quick and responsible. We communicate quickly and efficiently via email -- just the way this modern girl likes it. No pesky phone calls or typewritten notes strategically placed for you to find (I've had my fair share of strange landlords and property managers). In fact, I'm so terrible at returning phone calls I am considering putting my email address in my voice mail message... Electronic correspondence generates faster turnaround these days. I am happy to report I got my full security deposit back when I moved out of the apartment I rented from C & C Property Management, so you know these people won't nickel and dime you for natural wear and tear on an apartment. let me start by saying these guys are a complete joke and if it was up to me they should get their license removed. Seems like every agent had no clue what they were doing and had no communication within their company and home owners. I waited up to a month without any phone calls or any form of them reaching out. I asked weeks ago to transfer my application to another property, however when I called in they told me that they had no record of the transfer on file. you can see how frustrated I was dealing with these clowns. do not rent with this company.... DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY -Called to see if I wanted them to take over 2 rentals. They first wanted me to sign a contract before "on-boarding". After going through the paperwork, I recieved an email with a calendar that I could choose a meeting time from free spaces. Then I recieved an email stating that oopppps we over booked (they obviously didn't care about MY time since they chose the meeting date and time). I was told by one person, "this is the first time this has happened", but BRET the incompetent "manager" said "this happens all the time (shows his inexperience). Then, after I wrote in the meeting comments that I did not do ZOOM, Bret proceeds to try to zoom meeting me 1) he can't get his calendar straight and 2) he doesn't read comments. When Bret could not take constructive criticism becuase he had run my patience, he stated "he didn't want to work with me". Well...I hope he stopped whinning because this worked out to my advantage and I found a BETTER PM. My advice to home owners - keep an eye on your PM and don't take their BS. read more

I had a very positive experience renting one of C & C's apartments in Cole Valley, San Francisco, for one year. John Casey is an excellent property manager. I always felt comfortable communicating with him by phone, email or text. He always responded quickly and took care of our issues in a timely manner. It was simple to coordinate times with him to get things fixed in the apartment. John would often come to the property to make sure the people doing repairs were doing things right, which only shows great commitment on his part. Both John and his assistant, Phil, were helpful and kind to us. There was always somebody available to call if we needed some help. I also need to echo what other reviewers have said about the company's honesty. C & C is not the type of company that will cheat you. From the first day they showed me the apartment, they were very honest in sharing some of the feedback from tenants who had previously lived in the apartment- including what they liked about it, but also some of the cons/problems they've had in the past, etc. John carefully went over our lease and inspected the apartment with us in the beginning so we would all be aware of the damages (very few, by the way) that had already been done before our move-in. He was always clear in what was expected from us, and also provided me with detailed instructions to vacate. We also had the opportunity to have an initial inspection before the final inspection. In the end, we got our full security deposit back. I would definitely rent from John and his company again. I have nothing but positive feedback to share about C & C Property Management, and I strongly recommend that your consider renting from them in the future. read more

I used to rent an apartment in Nob Hill, San Francisco, that was managed by this company. John Casey was our contact person from this company. There weren't many issues with the apartment, but since it was an extremely old building, there were minor issues with leaks or lights that were taken care of within a day after we contacted John. He was always extremely quick at responding and would take care of anything we asked for immediately. Lived at property managed by C & C in San Francisco. John Casey was the building manager at our residence. Over the years we found C & C to be quick and responsive to any of the issues we faced. Send them an email about a problem and would always get a reply and plan of action the same day. When our hot water went out. C & C had a plumber the next day to get the water heater replaced. Some minor issues with payment between me and the landlord C & C immediately and politely acted as go between to get the issue resolved. C & C did a great job in my opinion not just in taking care of repair issues, but as well as keeping the common areas and public spaces around the area clean and tidy. Would definitely recommend them if I knew somebody looking for a great property manager for a apartment or multi family residence.
