    My stolen car
    Constance D.

This review is for City View Apartments, if you can please found another place to live before giving this place any of your hard working money. They get a zero rating from me I only lived here for three months now, my cars has been towed two times and two weeks ago my car was stolen from the lot I pay 65$ for my second car and for it be stolen any they telling me that the cameras they have are not working, we as people work to hard for this and also within three months they are changing me an additional 200$ more on my rent ...when I say this is real it is I'm out here on an assignment for work for a year I am a home owner and renting my properties out and after reading properties law they are breaking them all, keeping your deposit for one year is wrong they can only keep it if there is damage.PLEASE READ YOUR TENNANT RIGHTS IN CALIFORNIA

This is my toilet, after I flushed the feces. Absolutely not clean!

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PROPERTY GROUP! This is the WORST renting experience of my life! The apartment I moved in to was so dirty! Despite asking for it to be cleaned prior to move in, I walked in to find FECES in my toilet. When I complained they promised me that the apartment was cleaned. The shower rod and hooks in this apartment are the dirtiest I have ever seen in my life. It is clear that this place has not been deep cleaned in years. I also have garbage included in my lease, and it is 17 days after move in and I still do not have a garbage can. My refrigerator is rusted and I was promised it would be replaced prior to move in. It was meant to be replaced this morning between 8am and 10am and it is now 10:05am and they have not arrived, or responded to my calls/texts. I switched my shift to make this work and got up at 7am for absolutely no reason. Prime Property Group NEVER answers their phone. It goes straight to voice mail every time. I have never been able to talk to anyone on the phone and no one would do a walk through of the apartment with me, ever. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM! Prime Property Group takes advantage of renters.

Drysdale Property Management - What in "The People Under the Stairs" is going on here?

    Drysdale Property Management

    (56 reviews)

Drysdale has been the bane of my renting existence. When they took over their predecessor, Harbor…read moreBay Realty, little did I know how much my life as a renter would change. Prior to Drysdale, I rented through Harbor Bay Realty, and prior to them, Gallagher and Lindsey. No problems with either outfit. Then Drysdale came along and everything took a turn for the worse. It has been one thing after another, and I could write a 'War and Peace' review about this company, but instead I'll just summarize the most serious issues I've had with them over the years, including the latest and current ordeal I'm going through. Some years ago, a nutcase menace of a neighbor zeroed in on me, and started breaking into my mailbox and stealing my mail. When I reported the criminal harassment to Drysdale, they did exactly nothing, despite the fact that stealing mail is a federal crime, and an obvious violation of a lease. Drysdale told me to go to the police (their go-to response to virtually any tenant complaint), but would not permit me to collect the evidence necessary for an arrest and prosecution, and would not do so themselves either. The individual who was doing this still lives on the property. Next up, they lent the keys to my apartment to a plumbing outfit, and never got them back. I only found out about this six months later when I locked myself out of my apartment and went to Drysdale for a copy of my keys, and they didn't have them. Keeping keys secure is a fundamental and sacred responsibility of any property manager. Before this incident, I did not have a doorbell camera, and there were several times when I came home and things seemed out of place. Who knows if someone entered my home without my knowledge during that time. I never received an apology for this serious security breach from Drysdale, and ended up changing my locks at my own expense for my safety. And now on to present day. My neighbor in the unit directly above me started using a noise machine of some kind that produces a strong vibration that permeates my unit, especially my bedroom. The vibrational sound and frequency is incredibly bothersome. It has induced severe headaches for myself and my partner, and wakes us up immediately when she turns it on in the morning. Attempting to communicate with the neighbor respectfully about the issue has only resulted in her doubling down, and spitefully starting the machine earlier and earlier in the morning, then stonewalling me and refusing to communicate further about the issue. She starts the machine, then leaves for the day, leaving the machine running all day even though she is not at home. I complained to Drysdale, and despite multiple requests for their help, via email, calls, and an office visit, they have done nothing to resolve the problem. This is a serious quality of life issue that has resulted in me avoiding being in my own home as much as possible. The apartment I have been a model tenant in and have paid rent on for the past 15 years is now basically unusable to me, and a source of immense stress and discomfort, instead of the peaceful refuge home is supposed to be. There has been no follow-up, nor follow-through from Drysdale, and the noise assault continues every day. If you're looking for a rental, for your own health, safety, and well-being, try your best to avoid renting through this outfit. And if you're a property owner, please use somebody else for your property management needs, you will save yourself and your tenants a lot of grief.

Well this place is winning in the race to the bottom of property management firms. Seriously, 2nd…read moreplace is way out there. As a prospective tenant my experience was a mess and now for the last x years I get to see first hand just how bad they are when you rent a property under their management, or should I say unmanagement. I don't even know where to begin. Ok, we'll start out simple. Lights, need to have lights in stairwells and walkways. When they are completely out 24/7 finally someone comes out and fixes it so they come on. Problem is they don't know AM from PM so the lights are on during the day and off at night. Still an issue. Eventually they figure it out. Next let's talk about neighbors that don't respect your space. In this case my partner's upstairs neighbor has passed out in her tub twice smoking the ganja and overflowed her tub with the resulting water coming through the ceiling into my partner's bathroom and bedroom. Hey but Drysdale is all good with that. What's a little jacked up ceiling peeling off and a jacked up floor. Moving on to the drumming. We are having a nice dinner and at 7:30 the drum session starts right above us. Sometimes like Japanese Taiko, other times just a staff pounding on the foor with an irregular beat. And Drysdale could care less. New neighbor new crime. Stealing mail. Not once but multiple times. Again Drysdale could care less. Onto the most recent disregard for tenant's rights to live in a place free of noise and disrespect. Back to miss upstairs starting a noise machine at a low frequency first thing in the morning and leaving it on all day. And she leaves all day while leaving it running. After multiple attempts to reason with her, nothing. And guess what, after multiple complaints to Drysdale, nothing from them also. It was intolerable. Call the cops and they take a page from Drysdale's playbook and do nothing also. So among other tactics, an email goes out to the Better Business Bureau regarding above issues. Buckle up folks. Drysdale's response is that the mail was stolen by an ex husband livng in the building and they discussed it with him. Well, she has never been married, so no ex husband. Who the hell did they talk to? They won't say because they lied to the Better Business Bureau and didn't talk to anyone. As for the noise, Drysdale said it was a fan running but never checked it out. Just took the nightmare neighbor's word for it. Also, miss upstairs told Drysdale she would stop running the noise machine at the end of the week and that never happened. Noise machine still on. She knows how annoying it is so doesn't run it when her next door neighbor is home, but when the neighbor is away, runs it constantly ovet my partner's unit. As for Drysdale, they just don't care and hope all problems will just go away in time and leave the tenants to their own devices good or bad. Good tenants suffer while bad, annoying, obnoxious, potentially dangerous tenants are allowed to get away with anything they want with zero consequences. Please for your own safety and well-being rent from some other outfit.

From the very beginning she had our trust, and that trust only strengthened as we proceeded through the home buying process. Not only is Sophia an Alameda housing market specialist, but she's a resident herself and knows every detail about the different neighborhoods and communities. Moreover, she is very well respected by her peers - when other realtors heard we were represented by Sophia they always seemed impressed. We knew we were in good hands. We loved viewing prospective homes with her. In fact, we got to the point where we preferred skipping open houses and making appointments with Sophia and her team instead. My partner and I were approved for a unit after viewing three properties by this management! While…read more2 Lofts was shown in terrible condition (with bugs, old food, and stains still in place), we proceeded with applying for the cleanest unit which was even more of a red flag because for this unit they said someone was already suppose to pick up the key but she ghosted them! A week later Franny called with an approval and we also received an email confirmation. I mentioned I would be applying for Homeless Assistance through Contra Costa County, and they were obviously depending on it more than myself. This was my first time navigating permanent assistance, so I had questions. I asked if it was possible to separate the lease, I was informed the next day by Franny after checking with her broker they can't proceed with that & I was ok with that, as they still proceeded to go through with everything relying on the permanent assistance! Eventually, I found out the county was able to proceed with both of us on the lease, which was even better! Unfortunately, due to delays with my caseworker which I made a complaint on while trying to reach her for a week which I feel she was ignoring me on purpose because my case was switching to Alameda County July 1st which I just think she didn't want to do any paperwork for my assistance! After finding out I was denied assistance due to accepting a new job with the City of Oakland, my offer letter wasn't good enough & they wanted paystubs even though my worker told me I can. I told them it takes at least 3 weeks for the process & was waiting for my employee Id number Proof wasn't enough, unfortunately they wont pay more than 80% of your income. The moment Franny found out the county couldn't pay, she ghosted me. I emailed Franny the same day I was denied no response so I called the next day. Still, I offered to pay the entire deposit and rent out of pocket for the unit to the property management and even let them know I could bring the full payment the same or next day & move in on the 7th no later than the 15th! My partner makes 3.5-4x the rent, and I have additional self-employment income. Eventually, I was told they weren't moving forward with my application I was ultimately told the owner didn't want to deal with it I truly didn't understand and the reasons kept changing First, it was because originally planned to move in on the first Then, it was the "inconveniences with the county" (even though I was pushing the process myself) Then it was allegedly "fraud" because I asked about separating leases, which was an honest question, not a demand although after they still proceeded to ask and move forward with me! She said it seemed as if I was unreliable! Like huh? Then after I mentioned a fair housing complaint Franny stated the county thinks something is up with you too" A completely inappropriate comment that made me wonder if my confidential information was being shared improperly or if I was being retaliated against. I never received a written notice explaining why we were denied, even after asking twice. This experience delayed my family by two critical weeks, and based on how it unfolded, I strongly suspect source of income discrimination. We were transparent, financially qualified, ready to pay, and had solid rental history but none of it mattered at this point after they realized the county wouldn't be footing the bill. Which makes me realize I don't think they even did any job/ or rental history verifications! If you're a working person trying to get stable housing or using assistance in any way, be cautious. Based on my research, this is not a unique experience. It's common for people using public assistance to be treated as less-than even when they're offering to pay everything themselves. I'm filing a formal complaint with Fair Housing, and I'll continue to speak up not just for myself but for anyone who's ever been quietly discriminated against and made to feel like they are the problem. We deserve better.

I recommend working with Olivia to anyone looking for a rental in the Oakland/East Bay area.
