Due to its high Yelp reviews and low prices I chose Alamo and I believe I made the right decision based on this trip. After you get your luggage, follow the signs and eventually you will end up across the skywalk in the car rental area. There was a bit of a line but eventually we made it to the front and we were given a booklet with our info on it. From there, you proceed into the garage and Alamo is on the 5th floor. We paid about $500 for a 5-day rental and we had selected a standard SUV, which was marked as being a Ford Edge or equivalent. I'm not sure if they were out of the standard SUVs that day or something but they ended up giving us a Ford Explorer instead, which was rather huge but a super nice car; it had adaptive cruise control, navigation, and tons of legroom. To return the car yesterday, we followed the signs off of Post Rd. or you can plug in Alamo's address into your GPS, and you drive the car back into the garage, an employee scans it, and you gather your things from the car and walk back across the skywalk into the terminal. Very easy. Based on this experience I would definitely rent from Alamo again, specifically this location if I was in town.

Upon return, the person who claimed to be the "manager" of this Hertz location in East Providence, giving her name as Christina showed a complete disregard for treating a customer as a customer. She was belligerent, argumentative, and rude. Refused to provide a clear indication for overcharging for the vehicle upon return, she had placed a charge for an additional $50.00 for "outside washing". Once aware of the overcharging for the rental I requested I be allowed to document the cleanliness of the vehicle upon return. The agent walked outside with me but then refused to allow me to photograph the vehicle and when I brought out my phone she drove de vehicle behind the fenced area so that I could not photograph the vehicle almost injured me with her abrupt manner! I urge Hertz and/or the owners of this location to review video footage of this employee at work.

I chose this rental car service from Priceline it was a weekend rental. I chose the airport…read morelocation for convenience. Easy to find the entrance to the rental and the counter. The young man at the counter was respectful and friendly. Service was fast. I paid online thru Priceline so all I had to put was a $100 security with a major credit card. I did have my own insurance so I was able to opt out of theirs. Mileage was unlimited. One thing I did like which I have never experienced with another rental company was that they allow you to pick your own in my case SUV from a row available which I must honestly will say was tough to chose. Two things I did not like was no XM radio nor do they have the option of charging a daily fee for unlimited tolls. I was going to NYC so not having the option meant they would bill me for all tolls I went thru. They do have the option of paying a gas charge of $2.95 a gallon if you don't want to fill the car on return. The return process was also smooth. I would like to acknowledge Jack and Darrian one took care of me at the check in counter and the other helped me when I was looking at the vehicle options to choose. I would rent from them again if it's a local rental that has no tolls.

I have been here a multiple times. After multiple issues I've finally stopped going…read more Visit 1 : I got new tires put on. After I got home I noticed they were ALL on backwards. The tires are labeled "inside" and were clearly imprinted. I brought it back the next day for them to fix. They had my car for the majority of the day again. About 6 hours. They offered no discount or incentive to come back. I though my car would be a priority seeing they messed up they day prior. Visit 2: I went in for a noise under my hood. They said a belt needed to be replaced. They had already replaced this belt 4 months prior. Why it was already needing replacement again is beyond me. They had to take the front passenger tire off. When I came to get my car, that tire was put on BACKWARDS AGAIN! Visit 3: I went in for an exhaust issue. They patched it up and said I would need a new Exhaust manifold replaced sooner than later. They gave me an estimate of $780. A few months went by and I could notice it getting louder and exhaust smell in my car. I took it to another local automotive service center and they said the manifold was fine and it just needed some other minor work done which cost only $230 verses the $780 Tweets was going to charge for unnecessary replacements. Every time I have come here there has been an issue, but I've continued to go because it's a walk down the street from my house and convenient. Luckily for me I have found a new auto repair shop which is also a walk down the street. They are much cheaper and more reliable. I Will never come back here again.

Several times I had the dealer hand me a $2000+ list of things I needed to do only to find out a third were not needed and the rest were double the price. As I wait for my car during services I constantly see panicked walk-ins that are taken last minute or hear calls that they agree to take same or next day. The only problem I have ever had in the past was they were always so busy it would be hard to get them on the phone. The employees were handling phones and the car work. They have since hired an amazing person in the office that is a pleasure to talk to and makes using Barrington Auto even better.
